Was given a voucher for clay shooting, I was unsure at first but it turned out to be a lot of fun. Paul, the instructor, was brilliant at showing us what to do. I would definitely go again.

Very well set up and lovely staff. Our instructor was very patient especially with our son who has ADHD which made a tremendous difference. Would definitely recommend.

Ashcombe has been a shooting ground for 30 years but since July 2022 it has been part of the SGC Group. The Sportsman Gun Centre in association with Double Barrel Clay Shooting are the proud owners of Ashcombe. Since 2022 the ground has seen considerable investment in infrastructure and the ground now has a wider variety of targets available for all levels of shooter. Ashcombe offers a host of various competitions such as Sporting, Supersporting and Skeet on selected Sundays each month. The English Sporting and SuperSporting competitions come in 4 varieties; the CPSA registered Adult competition, the CPSA registered Junior competition, the Adult birds only and the Junior birds only. With major events such as the Browning Masters and the South West Regional Championships being acquired the ground is going from strength to strength.

Paul was brilliant, taught me some tricks to improve bad habits I have picked up over the years of game shooting. Cannot recommend Paul highly enough.

Excellent morning out.Very welcoming when we arrived.Never done clay pigeon shooting before but Justin our tutor for the morning couldn’t have been more helpful in explaining everything and helping us throughout the session.Definitely look forward to going back next time we are down for another holiday.

Amazing place
Amazing place, always try to go once a month, staff very friendly and always giving tips on how to become a better shooter. Definitely recommend.

Ashcombe Shooting Ground archery experience.
Justin the GB archery instructor managed in the space of an hour to teach me and my two young adult children how to hold and use a bow safely and correctly and to hit the centre zone of the target. We learned safety in approaching and removing arrows from the target but above all he made it a fun experience which we would be happy to repeat if we are ever down in Dawlish again. Thank you Justin and all at Ascombe Shooting Ground

Amazing experience!
Amazing experience! Majority of us had never held a gun before, never mind shot one. The instructor Paul made us feel at ease and made it a fun and enjoyable experience, would definitely recommend having a go to anyone.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience with…
Thoroughly enjoyable experience with great instructor 22.07.23. The whole session was built around our enjoyment and making sure we actually hit the Clay's. Plenty of enthusiasm and laughs all round and some successes. Stopped for lunch and totally recommend the burger. All staff very friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for something different to try would recommend you give this a go. Thanks guys, Rachel and Chris

Had a great evening at Ashcombe
Had a great evening at Ashcombe, It was only my second time clay shooting and I had really good guidance from Don, and Justin, which helped me improve immediately. All round great experience, had a cheeky beer after the shoot as well! great facilities and would highly recommend.

What a great place to learn to shoot! Lots of different targets and some of the views are incredible.
The registered shoots are extremely well organised and offers targets that will challenge all classes.
Just a lovely ground with fantastic, staff, food and shooting!

A big thank you to the Ashcombe Shooting Ground team, Don, Simone, Mike, Justin and Paul for organising our recent memorial shoot.
The 100 bird shoot was excellent with some great targets and the team looked after all of us as usual.
Will definitely be booking our Christmas shoot at Ashcombe.

Great day out!!
The experience as a whole was amazing! The staff, scenery and layout were like no other. Great day out for competitive people or even beginners with a mixed range of traps that test your shooting skills. Would highly recommend Ashcombe shooting ground!!!
