I was having a difficult time with saddle pain and discomfort.

I was having a difficult time with saddle pain while riding. I know, it's part of riding, but Ascent has made things so much better. I rode 150 miles is 3 days and my butt does not feel super painful like my other saddle would have made it feel. It is world's more comfortable and still sporty at the same time. If you're wondering whether this saddle is worth spending the money on, let me resolve that issue, absolutely!

So far - So good

After a 2 year medical hiatus, I’m practically starting my cycling over again. 12 milers instead of 40s. Like other cyclists we struggle to find the ideal seat. I was very skeptical about ordering my Ascent Sport. I’m finding it to be more comfortable than my others. Some positioning adjustments are still in order. I’ll be in a better position to evaluate and update my review after reaching 20+ miles per ride. I’m having great expectations.

I had a terrible experience with Ascent…

I had a terrible experience with Ascent Bicycle Seats, and I strongly recommend avoiding this product.
This seat absolutely wrecked my back. After just a short period of riding, I was dealing with soreness and discomfort that lasted for nearly a full week. A bike seat is supposed to support you—not leave you recovering like you’ve been injured. It failed in the most basic function it’s designed for.
Beyond that, the build quality is extremely disappointing. The seat feels heavy, poorly constructed, and cheap, especially considering it costs around $95. There’s nothing about it that justifies the price point.
What really pushed this into unacceptable territory was the return process. The company expects you to pay $25–$45 out of pocket to ship it back to Sweden—for a product that already isn’t worth what you paid. That’s a huge burden to put on the customer for what is clearly an inferior item.
Bottom line:
Uncomfortable, overpriced, and backed by a terrible return policy. Save yourself the pain—literally and financially—and buy from a company that stands behind its products.

I get it now. Best ride ever.

Just like every bicycle saddle, It took some time to get my new Ascent saddle just right. And once I found the sweet spot, it is truly sweet. I’m not sure how Ascent made a seat this forgiving, but they nailed it. Most comfortable ride ever.

Relief seeker!

I have tried every saddle imaginable in my over fifty-nine years of cycling, including a well-worn BROOKS seat to cheap CYCLE PRO seats, even the super-heavy SPENCO GEL seat cover that I rode on for 155 miles in ONE DAY! This saddle is super comfy right off the bat, but... seeing my GALLI and CAMPY equipped NISHIKI COMPETITION gain so much weight just because of a minor comfort improvement left me shedding tears! Perhaps offering TITANIUM or at least ALUMINUM rails might take some of the sting away! Just a suggestion, as an increase in price (REASONABLE!) is worth it to us ounce saving fanatics! Sit bone pain relief!

I purchased the ascent saddle to replace the Bontrager seat on my Wahoo Kickr training bike. I was experiencing pretty severe sit bone pain after approximately 30 minutes of riding - having to stand for a while for relief. The ascent has assuaged the issue. Thank you!

DECEPTIVE REFUND POLICY- SWEDEN NOT USA

I purchased the sport plus seat based on the advertising and reviews. I also understood their 30 day money back guarantee with product return if not satisfied. I received the product on Tuesday March 3, 2026, put in on my bike and tried it on Wednesday March 4, 2026. After only 5 miles it was very uncomfortable and I had to put my old seat back on. I requested a refund, sent photos as requested, and got a message that they would give me a discount if I did not return the product. My purchase was in part based on the guarantee, so when I pressed them for a refund, they said I had to sent the product back to:

Obviously this is VERY deceptive if not fraudulent as they have a USA address and any reasonable buyer would expect returns would be sent to their US location. According to UPS Store it would cost at least $150.00 to send a $69.00 bike seat back to Sweden!!!
Looking back at their reviews, I did notice someone recently experienced the same issue. I wish I would have seen it BEFORE I ordered because, I definitely would not have done business with this company!
I just received a reply from ascent accepting no responsibility for their lack of transparency about the location of the return. No where on their website or return policy does it clearly state the location of returns being in Sweden and not where the product was shipped from in Wyoming. Buy at local bike store where the actually honor their return policies!!

First, please allow us to sincerely apologize if our return policy was misunderstood. We do fully honor our 30-day satisfaction guarantee, which allows customers to return the product within 30 days if it does not meet their expectations.

However, as stated in our policy, when a return is requested due to personal preference or change of mind, the cost of return shipping is covered by the customer. If the product arrives damaged, defective, or the wrong item is sent, we of course cover all return and replacement costs.

We completely understand that international return shipping can sometimes be expensive. For this reason, we also offer an optional partial refund for customers who prefer not to go through the hassle of returning the item. This option is simply meant as a convenient alternative so customers can still receive some money back while keeping the product. It does not replace or remove the 30-day return option.

We are truly sorry again for the frustration this situation has caused and we appreciate you sharing your feedback, as it helps us improve how we communicate our policies.

Delivery and communication was…

Delivery and communication was terrible. They kept asking how my seat was when it hadn’t even arrived yet . I finally got the seat and so far has been a lot better than my previous one but will have to give it a few more rides to see.

I own a specialized Roubaix bike.

I own a specialized Roubaix bike.
The seat I received will not go on the bike post as the seat attachment for the two seats are so different.
I do not have an answer but surely you will. i wish i would have known the configuration ahead of time.
I guess I will use the seat on my office chair so i won't feel like i wasted all of my money.
I will try to find a seat locally or find a carbon post to mount the seat on. Not sure how my fanny will handle that.

Reeceived damaged seat/return

When I received my seat, the seat had a small cut on the under side. I contacted customer service and reported the damage. They immediately apologized and told me that they are sending me a new seat. I received the shipped email 2 days later. I was pleasantly surprised. Because of the customer service, I am giving Ascent a five star rating.

I am 77 inches tall

I am 77 inches tall. 72 years old and ride a big and heavy Specialized Roll bike about 20 miles per week. This is the best seat I have ever had. High quality and very comfortable

False advertising

I purchased these gloves knowing I could try them for 30 days risk free. First it took more than two weeks for them to arrive. I wore them two times and temperatures above 40°. Neither time did they keep my hands warm. Since I knew I had a risk free guarantee, I decided that they just weren't going to work for me to keep my hands warm enough while biking. I contacted the company and asked how I returned them and was told they needed to be unused and in original packaging. I asked how that was a try 30 days for risk free. No answer on that other than they said they disagreed with me and what that meant. Since I had worn them two times they weren't returnable at all and I was offered five dollars and I could keep them. I did not want them they did not work and I pressed them to let me return them risk free. I finally gave up as they were not about to let these gloves be returned. I feel this is fraud and have reported them to my credit card company. So as I said don't believe in the "Try 30 days RISK FREE" advertising. It's not true.

Our 30-day policy does allow customers to return an item within 30 days if they are not satisfied. However, as outlined in our return policy, items normally need to be unused and in their original packaging in order to qualify for a standard return. When a product has already been used, our team may instead offer a partial refund option so customers can still receive some compensation without needing to return the item.

This alternative is meant to provide a quicker and easier resolution for customers, but it is not intended to replace or misrepresent our return policy. GO for a long ride!

Made the longest ride on my Lectric e-bike and only slight saddle discomfort. Couple more rides and I’ll be floating on a cloud!

Great saddle for the price!

Great saddle once it finally got here. Very well constructed. The memory foam has just the right amount of "give" to it for an extremely comfortable ride. The fit and finish of the saddle demonstrates that it was manufactured with care. I look forward to having this saddle on my bike for many years to come. It is a great value for the price.
