Art Voyage Gallery: not a partnership, just a subscription model
I am an artist who submitted an application for collaboration with Art Voyage Gallery. Their website clearly states that applicants will receive a response within 3 business days. Several months have now passed, and I have yet to receive any concrete answer.
Two weeks after my application, I wrote directly to the gallery owner, Anastasia, on Instagram. She asked a couple of questions, responded with likes, and that was the end of it. No clear decision or rejection ever followed.
Through a mutual acquaintance, I was told that Anastasia said: “There are many applications, we’ll get back later.”
Meanwhile, the gallery’s terms of cooperation raise serious concerns: an annual fee of €300–470 plus a 50% commission on each sale. This model looks more like collecting subscription fees from artists than a genuine professional partnership.
If a gallery cannot even provide the basic communication it promises, what serious partnership can we really talk about? My impression is one of unprofessionalism and a lack of respect for applicants.
