Great service for artists to get exposure

For an unknown artist making not 'hot, spot on' music, this is a money milking machine with NO EFFECT for the artist.
I have tried this 3 times with the same result. You pay for everything they do and even pay a monthly fee.
If your music is not 'hot' stay away, you will not gain anything. good from this

I have been trying a lot of new promotion platforms recently and had a great experience with Artistpr.com! I have been working on a few articles for a new position at a music blog and was very pleasantly surprised by this service. The site doesnt really look the best, but so far, this service delivered the best results so far from the 5 companies I've tried.

This strategy is not so much for the plays alone. Instead, it spreads your brand everywhere on Spotify, which increases your chance of being noticed by curators and people running the playlists… and you’re working the algorithms.

One of the most important metrics to determine how successful an artist will be on Spotify is the number of times their music has been added to playlists. When you are added to a playlist, this is called a DATA POINT in the computer algorithms that surface your song higher to the editorial team for a chance to be on a more prominent playlist.

Did a Spotify playlist placement. Took them 8 weeks to add my song, poor communication and zero benefit. No increase in followers, streams. Zero plays from any of the 404 playlists. Zero.

You seem to have a great platform for the introduction of new music so I submitted copies of a few songs out of the 25 songs written by me and my partner over the last few months. Hope you like them if you can do anything with them. Get it let’s get it on.

They took my $1 and don’t have any way for me to log into my account, saying my “email doesn’t exist” but they send me messages on this email every single day, idk if it’s a scam but bro is unreliable

Recently. I thought I would try ArtistPR to promote one of my singles. They looked pretty slick and they had been quite persistent with their promotional emails.

There were two offerings that caught my eye. A professional press release, and inclusion in 404+ playlists. Neither were particularly cheap, but a useful experiment for me.

The 404+ Playlists was straightforward. I supplied them the relevant Spotify link to my track and a few days later I got the details of the lists it was included in. I could also see over 400 playlist adds in my Spotify analytics, so all good.

ArtistPR explain the process of adding to playlists is manual, so someone must have spent a fair bit of time setting the lists up for me. In that regard the price is probably reasonable. However, I checked out some of the playlists and they all had several thousand tracks, some over six thousand, and not really that many followers. When you couple that with the fact that as an artist, I was allowed include all of my tracks so long as I followed the list you have to wonder how many real followers there were. I just left them all with my one track.

In any event my Spotify analytics confirmed that there were virtually no plays from any of the lists, so a complete waste of money.

I also used the professional press release service. I paid my money a little over two weeks before release date. They sent me a link to the portal where there was a comprehensive questionnaire to fill in. I spent an afternoon on this. I figured the more detail they had, the better the results would be. And so it was. A week later I got an email to say the first draft was ready and I headed to the portal to check it out.

I was happy enough with the text, just one or two minor tweaks I was able to make myself. There was a button to approve or reject but I wanted a Spotify link to the single included and I didn't yet have that information. Perhaps there is a way to get a Spotify link prior to release, but I didn't know of one, and there was no way to contact ArtisPR to ask what to do. I expected it to be covered by the ArtistPR process, as it is fundamental for a press release for a single. But it wasn't mentioned, and there was nowhere to request one be added before going out.

They have a help email, but they warn you not to expect a response for a few working days. I didn't really have enough time to risk that, so I decided to reject the text and explained in the message box that I was happy with the text but that I wanted the link added before it went out. A day later I got an email back asking me to send the link by reply, as soon as I had it. Perfect!

On release day I sent the link as requested and waited on my inbox. I also checked the portal regularly. It was stuck in 'With ArtistPR' state all day. Nothing more happened. In fact nothing more happened for over a week. I sent an email enquiring as to the progress after a few days, but got no response.

I can say that when it did go out, it went to a lot of outlets. My Google search showed dozens of results for the release at various sites for weeks afterwards.

I am a relatively unknown artist, so I wasn't expecting a press release to give me any great benefit. It was more of an experiment for me. I did get a few emails from other companies offering to do my next press release, but nothing more than that.

I spent twenty times more money on promotion for this release than my previous release. So far after a month I have had considerably less streams, about 20%. On that basis alone I won't be using these services in future. I felt particularly cheated by the 404+ playlists offering. The lists need completely revamping and some money spent on advertising them. The press release service is quite good, but better suited to a more established artist, and unfortunately blighted by poor communications. Not being able to talk to anyone to iron out minor issues is a killer.

So two stars for a good press release text and a large distribution list. Nothing for process or service.

Saved me hours of work and everything looks and works legit as far as links go. Very satisfied with the work they put in. Aside from the 210,000 dollar sandals as a product on my site lol that’s no big deal. They do great work and would recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service.
