art-K - Highams Park Anmeldelser 

My daughter has been attending Art K Highams Park for almost three years now and I couldn’t be happier about how she has progressed, and the work that she produces, which is genuinely heads and shoulders above anything she has done in any other setting.

She finds the environment peaceful and really conducive to working at her own pace and immersing herself in what she’s doing. She’s always really keen to get to her class and has felt so proud of herself and her work whenever she’s brought something home.

I must say, things do take quite a while to finish, but I see that as a really good thing, as I know she is concentrating on making them as good as they can be!

The range of media that she has tried at Art-K has been varied and exciting, worlds apart from what they have on offer in school.

There are plenty of opportunities to exhibit and show work at the end of class and at the end of term, where the kids get served kid’s bubbly in flute glasses and can review their peers’ work and compliment it with little cards and encouraging phrases.

Thank you to Kylie and the team for your guidance, patience and hard work. We love Art-K!

My daughter has been doing art sessions for two terms now and she absolutely adores it. She had always loved art but I never realised just how much until she started these lessons. The teachers are so encouraging of her and give her so much one to one attention that her creativity and joy for art are flourishing. It is the highlight of her week especially as she finds a lot of school subjects a bit boring! She will be carrying on with these classes for as long as she can now. I see such a change in her since she started them.

Our daughter, now 10, has been going to art-K for a couple of terms over the last couple of years, as well as a few holiday day workshops. She always loves it, and comes home with beautiful pieces of art

Our daughter really enjoys these classes and has now had her work exhibited in central London.

My child enjoyed the classes very much. Came home very happy and eager to attend more classes.
Biggest issue for me is the cost of the classes and this is totally personal to me. I'm not entitled to any help so I have to pay for the classes in full. When you consider what the children do in a day for the amount paid it is very pricey.
No complaints about the activities as my child was happy.
Feedback at hometime would also be good.

This was our first experience of Art-K so we didn't quite know what to expect. As my little girls is just 6yrs old we were advised to choose the half day option.
In the future I would be keen to book the full day class so that she is able to create a more elaborate piece of art work.
There were a few different activities for the children to choose from, which allowed them to make a choice based on their interests.
I was expecting a project that was a little more teacher led, which I guess isn't possible when all the children are choosing different projects.
I don't feel that she learnt or created anything that we couldn't have done at home, but I didn't have to clean up so that's a bonus!
My little girl definitely enjoyed the class and we will book again in the Summer holidays, she really does love Art and getting crafty so I am happy to have Art-K so local.

My kids with special needs can’t wait when Saturday will come, they love their early morning Art lessons. They call it Art therapy. Amazing teachers, calm atmosphere and beautiful studio.

My daughter spent two lovely days making a sculpture at art-K Highams Park. She really enjoyed it. There's a nice, relaxing atmosphere - perfect to wind down after a busy term at school.

My 8 year old son has been attending Kylie's Saturday morning classes in Highams Park for nearly a term now and is really enjoying them. It's the first time he's done anything like this and he is clearly learning a lot of new skills - like blending watercolours, working with clay and seeing a project through from idea to completion. It's a lovely bright space, well equipped and Kylie and her assistant are both very welcoming and knowledgable. I wouldn't hesitate in signing my son up for more lessons again.

My son is 13 and has attended for two terms. He loves it and has developed so many amazing techniques and skills. It’s a lovely, chilled out space and the team are very friendly and patient. I would highly recommend. A great addition to the local area!!

I used to draw a lot when I was younger, but gradually lost the practice over the years. A couple of months ago I started attending the evening class and with Kylie's guidance I've really enjoyed getting stuck in again, (re)discovering different techniques and skills! It's been a real respite having 1.5 hrs every week to focus on something that doesn't involve a screen and I'm looking forward to the class every week.

The teacher Kylie is amazing with the children, and there are new activities for the children to do each week. They’re always learning as well as enjoying themselves.

Kylie has been great in making reasonable adjustments for my son's SEN and it has been lovely to see him expressing himself through his art in a calm and creative environment.
