Customer support (especially a lady called PAM) is sh**.. doesnt want to listen what you want to say and need.. she kept going and when i asked if she can stop so i can explain what i need as she understood what i need is wrong, she said she doesnt want to talk and hung up.. she was super rude .. stay away

ZERO stars. One of the worst service experiences I have had in decades if ever. Stay away from The Appliance Repair Men and Hi-Tech Appliance

I called The Appliance RepairMen Leesburg on July 23,2026 to repair a faulty igniter on my Bosch gas stove and paid an $89.99 service fee. The technician came on July 27, broke two screws on the burner with the faulty igniter, disassembled the other burners, and left the entire stove unusable.

He said parts had to be ordered and required a 50% deposit of $296.81. I clearly explained that the house was rented and the stove had to be operational by August 10. I was assured it would be.

Only after paying did I discover that the technician was actually from a subcontractor, Hi-Tech Appliance.

Six days later, on August 3, the technician texted asking me to send a photo of the stove serial number because the photo he had taken during the service visit was blurry. In other words, six days had already been lost because they had not properly recorded the information needed to order the part.

I was traveling and could not get to the house until August 7. That day, I spoke with management and again asked whether the stove would be repaired by August 10. I was assured that it would. I also asked them to at least reassemble the four burners that did not need repair so my tenants could use the stove. I was told they would do that as well.

Neither happened.

No one came on August 10 or August 11. The FedEx tracking later showed that the part was not even shipped until August 10 and arrived August 12. My tenants were left without a working stove for three days. The repair was finally completed on August 13.

On August 14, I refused to immediately pay the remaining 50% and asked to speak with a manager from The Appliance RepairMen, the company I originally hired and that sent this subcontractor. I was connected with manager Louis. He repeatedly interrupted me, became belligerent, and eventually started yelling when I explained that, after such negligent and misleading service, I did not believe I should be charged the full amount. Note, no itemized bill was ever provided.

Instead of apologizing or trying to find a reasonable solution, Louis accused me of “extorting” the company because I said I would leave negative reviews about my experience.

The total charges for this repair were $677.60.

Had they simply been honest that they could not complete the repair by August 10, I would have hired another company. Instead, they repeatedly assured me it would be completed on time while delays caused by their own mistakes continued.

I originally chose The Appliance RepairMen after trusting the Google AI summary showing it as highly rated. Based on my experience, I would give them ZERO stars.

Stay away from both The Appliance RepairMen and Hi-Tech Appliance.

These guys are terrible. They can't even text when they're on the way. The guy got here and was eight minutes away and then I turned around. The dude couldn't even wait ten minutes

Run, don't walk away from this company. The technician told the company he couldn't perform the service because there was no place to park. The street immediately in front of my house is a fire lane but there is adequate parking just a few feet away in front of my next door neighbor as well as in the alley behind my house. The technician drove away while I was explaining where to park. I wasted an entire day waiting for service from this company. I suspect there is a very definite language problem too.

On August 8th, 2025, a repair technician dispatched by this company entered my home to perform an oven repair for which I paid $189. After the visit, the company provided me with a copy of the identification that the worker used. The ID depicted a one man. However, the individual who entered my home was an entirely different person, which is confirmed on my home security camera footage.

The company acknowledged to me that the identification he used was not legitimate. This means the individual they dispatched to my residence was not the same person represented in their records or on his identification.

The only reason this individual had access to my home and personal information is because the company sent him as their representative. Their failure to properly verify, screen, or confirm the identity of the person they sent directly resulted in financial loss and placed me in a fraudulent and unsafe situation.

I have requested a refund of the $189 I paid. I gave the business seven days to respond and resolve the issue. As of today, I have not received reimbursement.

The service tech had no idea how to replace a shaft pin on our Hobart mixer. He quoted over $1200 which is 4 times the cost of previous repairs for a pin replacement. Avoid this company!

Waste of money. They sent me someone who doesn’t know anything about gas cooktops and did nothing. What a way to make money…just turn up no idea what to do then leave.
Save your money!

Turned up on time did the work quickly and professionally kept me informed while doing the work price was has quoted very pleasant guy

Didnt show up twice in a row for appointments, without remorse that each waited around 3 hour windows. They said if I let them come, they would give a discount . When they quoted, repairmen wanted $300 for what he admitted would take 15 minutes, PLUS $400 for the part which online was half that, and said rudely, "you want it or not". Called company, and they could care less...

I said NOT, and wasted three days.. but will go elsewhere.. AVOID!

Have used this company a number of times - always excellent and very well priced. Honest and trustworthy engineer - Paul Davies - highly recommend.

Major scammers! DO NOT BOOK A CALL ONLINE as they will charge you $80 for cancelling. Immigration Canada should investigate the owners.

I am sorry to say I was scammed too. Please stay away. After $1000 and three visits my refrigerator is not fixed. I would have paid by credit card like I initially saw on the website but the repairman said cash or debit only. The credit card had to be preapproved in order to use. What legit company does this? They did the same thing and sounds like the same approach to execute their scam! They should be arrested! How does this company be allowed to stay open and these people not get arrested? I will continue to put the word out there to everyone! They refused to reimburse me for the paid services not rendered. I will have to look at my legal options! They also keep putting down my review on their sight as this isn’t a favourable one and they want to lure another trusting soul into their scam!

First, let me state; use Amex as you can cancel the charge as they're a scam. They have no GOOGLE reviews so they fly under the radar. The Appliance Repairmen is a SERVICE. I asked when I called if I was calling a referral service or the ACTUAL stand alone (mom and pop) appliance repair folks in my town. I was told YES! This was the first lie. I was charged $130.00 to LOOK AT my stove top and dryer. I was told they would cost $1150.00 to repair and then told they would do it for a GRAND. The guy then complained it took him an hour to pull apart my dryer and the price went up. I was told he made nothing on the service call and the referral company made $65.00 per appliance for the estimate. In the end I got nothing out of this nonsense and called a second repair company which came over with the correct parts  and made the raptors for a total for $685.00 on both appliances. The first REFERRAL repairman showed up and took $130.00 while the second repairmen (A U.S. VETERAN) did the job right with no fuss. People do not use referral services and do NOT buy American Home Warranty or Choice Warranty for appliances as they are ALL rip off artists lining their pockets with your hard earned money!

On Tuesday Aug. 9th an Appliance Repairteam technician, Olivia, looked at my Samsung fridge. The initial quote was for $80 to do a service call. Upon arrival, this technician informed me that to properly diagnose the problem, she would have to open the machine at a cost of $280. I signed a form based on a verbal agreement that she would be able to diagnose the issue and repair it with the cost of the parts being extra. I advised her that the freezer compartment was working fine but that refrigerator compartment wasn't cooling properly although the fan could be heard running. She was unable to provide any assessment of the problem and showed no understanding of that type of fridge. At the time she did not attempt to access a Samsung repair manual or even a schematic of the fridge mechanics online.

She asked us to remove the cabinets from the freezer compartment which we did. She then accessed the system mechanical systems by removing a panel at the rear of this compartment. The technician initially came to the conclusion that the condenser needed to be recharged because there was no frost or ice on the evaporator. My son explained that this diagnosis didn't make sense since ice wouldn't be expected to form on a properly functioning evaporator. Moreover she was looking at the evaporator for the freezer compartment which was working fine.

We initially suggested that there may be a problem with the fan to the refrigeration compartment. At this point she asked if we wanted her to replace the motor on the fan. When asked about other possible sources of malfunction like the thermostat or relay switch, she appeared to be confused. In response to a question about the relay switch all she could say was that the power supply to the fridge was working, not appearing to understand the purpose of a relay switch (and having failed to notice that the power cord was in fact seriously frayed). She then asked my son which part he wanted her to replace. She seemed to have no understanding of refrigeration.

She left after only looking at the mechanical system for the freezer compartment and at that point she provided no diagnosis regarding the problem. At no time did she look at the mechanical system for the fridge compartment which was where the malfunction was occurring.

Everything on their website is a lie. They are nothing but essentially a temp company. They don’t have any of their own technicians, they’re hiring jobs out. You have no way of knowing what you’re going to get. The website lists every town in every state they operate in. They have no idea if they actually have someone in that area. They take your money to book the appointment and try to find someone. If they can’t they call back at the end of the day and say the rep made a “mistake” booking you. Now you’ve lost the entire day and with it the chance of not losing ALL the food in the fridge.

They are scammers. I hire the appliance repair man to fix the oven. In turn they hired Appliance Masters LLC. This tech was a scammer. He broke a part in the oven and he wanted me to pay. When I told him no, he became furious and rude, took parts of the oven and left the house. Stay away from them

I booked an appt today at 1:30 pm and had to cancelled an hour later due to an emergency and they said I was charged $80 +hst and if I don't pay it will be sent to collections, is the seven possible? they didn't say this when initially booking appt or any cancellation policy. We are calling our lawyer to get more info.

Called Paul on Tuesday morning regarding a problem I had with my Washer Dryer he called me back in the afternoon and came over straight away. He was friendly and professional he immediately knew what the problem was and fixed it for me there and then. I would highly recommend him to anyone for a quick, trustworthy and reliable service so big thank you Paul.

I was cheated by the 'Appliances repair team' (appliancerepairteam.ca), their technician Kunj and their manager Sayan on Tuesday, July 6. 2021.
I had a problem with 'F21 Error' in my washing machine and reached out to this service firm, was quoted $80 for their visit. Although I partially attended F21 error but figured out some specific problems. Comes this technician who had nothing much to do but identify the problem; started haggling, he required me to sign the doc that mentioned $280 + parts (and not willing to attend).
Assuming we live in most developed countries where brands like Costco, Canadian Tire, Home Depot exist, I thought this would be a one-time cost and minor parts cost as they are into such services. I perhaps should have called off and incur the charge of $80 instead signed the doc got into their laid trap.
Now, the technician Kunj didn't have much to do to visualize those specific parts and their working and came with a shocker of $480 for the drain pump set (seems available for $ 120 over Amazon). I knew I was ripped off; now, he had to put pressure on getting the payment.
Outrageous it was yet feeling so deeply wounded by this atrocious cheat; I spoke to the Manager Sayan, who had mentioned only $80 earlier was reluctant. Finally, I had no option but to pay $226.
But please, folks, those who read it do not fall in this trap! Is there a way could escalate this!
Feeling absolutely broken to have been cheated - inviting a service firm and paying them for nothing!!!

Be careful, they are abusive thieves, and they say that the service costs 80 dollars, when they arrive they tell you that they fix it for 316 dollars and when you accept and they finish fixing it, they tell you that you have to change the whole engine and they do not fix anything! they are scammers!
