Customer service was extremely rude. Protect arrived damaged among other issues

Very disappointing experience with American Floor Mats.

I received tracking with an expected delivery date of September 2, so I scheduled flooring installation and gym equipment around it. After the delivery date passed, I called Central Transport and was told they never even received or loaded my flooring.

I then contacted American Floor Mats, and the person I spoke with was unhelpful and could not provide a clear explanation or resolution.

Providing a customer with tracking and a delivery date when the carrier does not even have the product is unacceptable. It wasted my time and disrupted appointments I had scheduled based on the information they provided.

I have now requested to cancel the order and would not recommend this company based on my experience.

We placed one order with American Floor Mats and it came quickly with no problems, but our second order was delayed time after time and when it finally did arrive it was flawed - covered with grooves in the finish and completely unusable. It has been a chore to get answers on how to get credited and to get rid of the flawed product. I feel like I am getting the run around and it is causing a lot of delays in our project.

I ordered a new office chair mat to replace a 30+ year old mat. The new one is already showing signs of dents from the chair after less than a week. I ordered to premium as I have plush carpet. Plus it creeps on the carpet daily, so I have to move it back into position every day. Also it comes rolled up and is a pain to get it flat, even after following the directions. Should have went with a glass one.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered.

Still waiting for product. Our gym equipment has been moved in which we will need to pay to move out when the flooring does eventually show up.

They use low rate delivery/freight that is non responsive, has no-showed/no-call delivery windows. They don't have a number to call for help.

Never again.

I ordered a "Premium" chair mat from them, based on what their chart recommended. Firstly, it was shipped rolled up, and took a full five days to flatten out to where I could even put it in place. Another two days to where I could put a chair on it, since they say they "aren't responsible" for anyone not adhering to the unrolling/placement instructions. Secondly, the very first time it was used divots were formed where the chair wheels are; these divots make it virtually impossible to roll around on the mat, since the chair stays in these pits! I contacted the company who told me that the depressions that the chair can make is NOT a manufacturer defect, despite their website stating that a Premium mat is a certain thickness to provide both carpet protection and the ability to roll around with ease. I was told I could ship it back, but at my own expense and with a 25% restocking fee.

Buyer, beware--paying a ridiculously high price from this US based company does NOT guarantee a good product....but does guarantee poor customer service and disappointment! Shame on you, American Floor Mats......

I recently placed an order with this company, and the final product came back in a completely different color than the one I selected. This was not a minor variation it was clearly the wrong color code.

What makes this more frustrating is the lack of accurate guidance from their customer service team. Both Anna and Lenny provided incorrect or misleading information during the process, which directly contributed to the error in my order.The company hides behind a disclaimer stating that colors are computer-generated and may vary slightly depending on monitors. However, this situation goes far beyond a slight variation. It feels like they ultimately choose the color themselves without clearly disclosing it in the approval email. If that’s the case, then what is the purpose of having a color chart on their website?

I am a returning customer, which makes this even more disappointing. I trusted their process and professionalism based on past experience, but unfortunately, this time confirmed the opposite.
At a minimum, customers should be clearly informed of the exact color code being used before final approval. Transparency is key, and that was missing here.
I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their communication and quality control.

I brought the interlocking pvc tiles for my garage two years ago. I was impressed at the ease of installation and the overall look of the floor.

After parking my cars on the tiles, an impression and dirt mark appeared. it has been impossible to remove.

I wrote to the company twice to ask if others have had this problem and if their is a solution. I received responses that indicated someone will get back to me but this has not occurred. I told the company that I had recommended this flooring to my neighbor and I now regret that I have since he has the same problem.

if you want a flooring that stays clean and makes your garage look better than an epoxy coating, this is not the product to get.

I am disappointed in the lack of customer service and follow through.

I had a very disappointing experience with American Floor Mat Company. I ordered gym flooring with the understanding that it would ship within 5 business days. In reality, it took 32 days to receive my order.
Customer service was equally frustrating. I called multiple times and sent several emails trying to get an update, but responses were either delayed or nonexistent. Meanwhile, my contractor had already scheduled installation based on the promised timeline and had to come back weeks later once the flooring finally arrived—creating unnecessary delays and added inconvenience.
At a minimum, I expect transparency around shipping timelines, but that was not the case here. The company was not truthful about delivery expectations, and the lack of communication only made the situation worse.
I would not recommend using this company based on my experience.

Ordered $1700 worth of mats from American Floor Mats. Was promised that they would ship in 2-6 business days. Not even close! We are on our 14th day waiting with no end in sight. Have contacted their customer support repeatedly, and have only received vague answers like "they are in production" after 2 or 3 emails. We are a small business and we had to purchase mats for safety reasons, and they have offered nothing. No ETA, no refund, barely a response. I wish I would have shopped elsewhere, American Floor Mats is a terrible company.

Great products and great customer service!!

absolutely awful, tried twice with them. the first time what i ordered isn't what was received and they simply stopped responding to it. The second time I got a different product and there was no accountability, simply stated that I need to ship it and pay restocking fee, stay away!

Worst company by far. Run far away. I never got my items. They won’t refund me back. When I call into customer service they are all rude and not helpful. Run away from this nightmare company.

Unable to duplicate another order as previously ordered.

I ordered a 5x10 cheer mat because you could not beat their price with FREE shipping (most competitors were upwards of $100-$150 additional shipping costs)... My daughter was excited. Then I started reading reviews and was ready to cancel my order. We had tried ordering from a different vendor (overseas) prior to Christmas and I never received the package. Big ordeal. I thought - great here we go again - my wife and daughter are going to kill me. Glad I was wrong. I Ordered on February 5th, and received my mat by the 12th. Perfect condition, correct color, no issues whatsoever. Will order again. Just my experience but I am thrilled with American Floor Mats.

Horrible order a custom floor and can not get details. The order was supposed to be here two weeks ago and still nothing. Horrible customer service with no return call.

I placed an order, simple enough, around $500. Got an email saying that their accounting department canceled my order. The charge already went through so it wasn't an issue of non-payment. I have an email that says they will be refunding the charges. It's been weeks & I have called (no answer by a human being), and emailed them. Nothing!! Terrible company! I finally just disputed the charge on my credit card

I was extremely hesitant to buy anything from American Floor Mats because of the absolutely terrible reviews online. But, they were literally half the price of other places for rubber gym matting, and after seeing some people on Reddit that seemingly got what they ordered, I decided to go ahead and purchase from them, knowing that I had to keep my expectations very low.

Well, it's been a week, and I have my product, and it's great! It arrived within 7 days of when I ordered, and it's exactly what I wanted.

Maybe I just got lucky. But, for anyone out there wondering if they should chance it, I'm just writing this to let you know that sometimes it does work out, apparently.

I would recommend buying 1 foot longer than you actually want, because the pieces I got did come in slightly different lengths.

Received the wrong size mat despite it being a pre-cut size. Had to send picture, proof of order, etc. Told to just deal with it. Terrible customer support.
