The AS course lessons have been excellent , engaging and fun. Andrew has explained complex topics very well using
mnemonics and useful exam tips. I would highly recommend him.

The lessons were fun and engaging! Highly recommend the AS course for any year 12s who want to get a jumpstart to chemistry. Andrew gave us some really useful exam tips too; he is clearly very experienced and knows what he’s doing!

Andrew is an exceptional chemistry tutor who truly goes above and beyond for all his students. He is genuinely invested and passionate about his students’ success and has managed to explain complex chemistry concepts in a clear, structured, and easy-to-understand way to my Son.
The lessons are virtual group lessons of between 10-15 students and are always well-prepared, structured and professional. This is followed by another session on second day, where the same topic is covered by doing exam questions. Finally on a third day, there is a “drop-in clinic” for any individual questions the students may have. To top it off, all lessons are recorded and available for future reference if needed!
This method has been extremely effective and has consolidated my Son’s understanding of difficult topics. We have just completed the Y12 content course and have already signed up for the next Y13 course! Thank you Andrew!

Andrew is a great tutor, he has helped me have a deeper understanding of the Chemistry AS content in preparation for my mock exams. After his exam technique lessons, I feel more confident with answering exam questions using key words that mark schemes are looking for.

My daughter recently completed Andrew’s Year 1 crash course, and the experience was fantastic. The lessons are exceptionally well-structured, breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable chunks. Andrew is an engaging and passionate educator who brings a sense of fun to his teaching—a rare quality that keeps students motivated. We’ve already signed up for the Year 2 course.

Andrew has been a fantastic tutor to my daughter on the Year 12 content, 12 week course. He is engaging, clear in delivery and brilliant with content and exam technique preparation.
It’s been so good, that we’ve signed up to the year 13 course ready for her exams in the summer. It has given her that little bit extra confidence and support in the run up to her mock exams this week. All resources and recorded sessions being available until the summer to review/ rewatch at her own convenience is also an huge benefit as she feels reassured that she has this to support her at any time. We can’t recommend highly enough!

Andrew is a great tutor! I have completed the AS course and will be doing A2 course. I found it incredibly beneficial that it is not just one 1h class per week but 1 content, 1 exam technique and an optional clinic session. He stands out from other tutors because of this and has boosted multiple students' grades. He has great useful mnemonics and tricks too!

I just finished the AS course, moving onto the A level, and it’s been such a wonderful and fun journey! Here’s why you should choose Andrew: The way Andrew teaches is incredible! He implements different strategies tailored to each topic in chemistry so it’s much easier and effective to revise. The way the course was structured, by having a day for content and the alternative day for going through past paper questions, is so useful as you can put the previously learnt topic in practice and be exposed to the many different ways exam boards can ask you questions in. We got given many exam techniques throughout the length of the course including useful mnemonics that you wouldn’t be taught in school. If a lesson was missed or not understood clearly we had a well organised portal with all the lessons and exam questions and had the opportunity to book a clinic if something was still unclear. Overall it was very beneficial!

The course has helped me become more confident with current topics and has improved my exam technique overall, I recommend it to anyone who feels they need extra support with chemistry

Andrew is genuinley such a great teacher, better than all my school ones and he has got me from a D and even E's to and A. He is also 100% very real and is not a fake i promise!

My daughter has always liked chemistry, however although she was studying lots she was not getting the results she needed in year 12 and was loosing interest on it. After doing the AS course with Andrew she went from getting C/Ds in all her exams to an A on her mock exam, which will help her immensely with the university applications. Andrew is so helpful, sending me videos explaining concepts I struggled to grasp and really boosting my confidence!

My daughter Louisa took both of Andrew’s booster courses in the last year of her A-Level Chemistry – one for the AS Year 12 content and the other for the Year 13 content. Louisa was struggling in her final year Chemistry and was predicted a D grade but worse than that she was really beginning to hate Chemistry. Then along came Andrew with his booster courses and changed everything for Louisa. Not only did he make the lessons interesting and amusing, he used visual ways of remembering and understanding key concepts. If I said, David Bowie and leprechauns, you wouldn’t know what I was talking about but it worked ! Also his Organic Mindmaps, annotations of the periodic table and definitions lists made learning topics with loads of information manageable. Louisa could instantly tell you the reagents and conditions for all the organic synthesis questions. Amazing. Andrew was always available to answer questions whether that be through his regular clinics that enforced key knowledge or through WhatsApp, where he frequently replied and sent video solutions to tricky questions that Louisa was struggling with (Back Titrations were annoying but she can do them in her sleep now). Andrew’s Thursday night exam technique sessions are a perfect way to follow the Tuesday night content lessons in which he walks through question after question showing how to approach the problem and how to avoid common mistakes and pitfalls with reference to marking schemes and examiner comments.
We don’t yet know Louisa’s result but it certainly won’t be a Grade D and we are hopeful of at least a 2 grade jumps and a lot of that credit, should it happen, will be down to Andrew. I thoroughly recommend his booster courses. Thank you Andrew !

Our daughter just finished her ALs. She did a 10 week revision course with Andrew that commenced early April 2025. It definitely made a huge difference on the way she approached the exam papers and her whole attitude on Chemistry. Keeping the fingers crossed for an excellent result. Can highly recommend him.

So pleased I took a leap of faith and trusted Andrew with tutoring my son throughout his Chemistry A Level course.

I initially signed up for the AS content and saw the benefits and confidence it was instilling in my son and knew it was something he really appreciated alongside his college learning. A-levels are not for the faint-hearted and I knew it was important to have additional support in order to give my child the best chance in a competitive world. My son has already jumped up two grades and has used Andrew's content 'religiously' throughout his revision. He is sitting his first Chemistry paper as I write this review and I as a parent am confident I made the right decision in preparing him for this moment.

Andrew has always been responsive, available and given the students practical, genuine support, ideas and 'tricks of the trade' to help them understand complex topics. This can only come through years of experience and knowing the syllabus and content 'like the back of your hand.' I myself have been teaching for 14+ years and can spot a highly competent teacher when I see one.

To briefly explain how this course worked so well for us:
- The FIRST lesson in a week explores the topic being revised (which is recorded and my son would play it back again to make detailed notes in his own time).
- The students are then given exam practice questions on the topic to complete by the second lesson. (We printed these out to ensure the work gets done and had the mark scheme to help.)
- During the SECOND lesson they go through the exam questions together.
- The students then have the opportunity to book in to a THIRD session to discuss anything they still require further support with.

The value for money is next to none, we were often at risk of missing lessons as there are three a week to keep up with!!

Having completed the Chem grade booster course over the past 10 weeks I would definitely say that I’ve seen a vast improvement in my grades. Andrew made his lessons interactive and enjoyable, helping me understand and remember content in a much simpler manner than just memorising content. A lot of exam techniques were taught which has definitely helped me improve my understanding towards the subject. He was always there to answer any of my questions during clinic sessions. Having been through so many tutors, I am so glad I found the best tutor just before my exams!

After completing the comprehensive , very well constructed , engaging and highly information Year 12 course with Andrew my son was eager to undertake the Year 13 course also . Having completed both courses my son has grown hugely in confidence and has really enjoyed the sessions three times a week . Andrew is thorough , fun , friendly and highly supportive . Andrew has developed excellent resources to support the students on his courses . The excellent question booklets with mark schemes and examiner’s reports are suitable for all exam boards and are very beneficial .

Andrew presents complex content in a straightforward manner and he uses his many years of teaching A Level Chemistry to support his students in addressing their misconceptions in order for them to make progress and develop their knowledge , skills and understanding .

Having completed the year 12 Revision Course with Andrew, my daughter requested if she could also do the year 13 Revision Course. This coming from a girl who had grown to dislike Chemistry was a surprise for me. She has just completed the year 13 course and she feels much more confident in her abilities.

Andrew's teaching has helped her to divide all of year 13 content in ten parts, making is much easier for her to focus on different topics. She feels so much more positive in her abilities. I have seen an amazing change in her outlook towards studying chemistry and planning revision.

Andrew has the ability to teach in such an engaging way that even the most reluctant and struggling student feels they can do it. He breaks down complex concepts and explains in a way that his students understand. This has really improved my daughter's confidence and belief in herself that she can master these concepts and aim for a high grade in A level Chemisty.

Andrew's tutoring has made A-Level Chemistry enjoyable and easier! His KCT method offers you access to formulae and tips which many textbooks miss out but are really worth remembering. Not only does Andrew cover all the A-Level theory in 10 weeks but you also have the comfort of being able to WhatsApp him with any queries and there is a Sunday clinic for 1 to 1 support. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting to improve their A-Level Chemistry as I've really enjoyed Andrew's sessions.
