I entered into an agreement with Amazon Self Publication in Spring of 2025. Initially, things went well, then by summer deliverables were slow in being met, resulting in my book missing the planned date of publication in September. The initial editing was terrible ad had to be returned three times for corrections, In effect, I edited probably 70% of it myself. There were a string of delays, especially in formatting the book for publication, consequently the softcover was published in late October. They were never able to correct the formatting issues for the hardcover consequently it was never published. After two weeks of not being able to reach anyone by phone, text or email. it was evident by mid November they were out of business as phones were no longer connecting. No one from the company ever called to tell me they had a problem or was going out of business. Of course they never returned any money for services paid for but never delivered.
The persons I worked with were Alex Murphy, Mark Bennett and Ryan ? Under no conditions do I recommend Amazon Self Publication or its principals. The company and its management staff are lacking in integrity and professionalism.

The team is super helpful and responsive. They made the entire process easy to understand and supported my creative vision. I would highly recommend them to anyone venturing out on their own. The process is transparent.

I absolutely recommend Amazon Self Publishing to anyone considering self publishing a book. From my first contact with Simon Marshall to having Chris Walter as my project manager, the whole process was very smooth from beginning to end because of the help I received. Simon and Chris answered all of my questions and helped me move forward. Chris communicated very well and was my project manager for my first book. The communication line with the illustration team was always open. Chris has moved to another position and helped make a very smooth transition with Simon as my project manager for my second book. This has been a wonderful experience because of these two always communicating with me and the illustration team. Thank you!

From day one, Amazon Self Publication was professional, fast, and did what they said they would do. Simon Marshall & Mark Bennet called back when they said they would and the final to-the-penny quote was the final price. I have, since 1979 worked with other self-publishers but none as professional as Amazon. It they are even moderately higher in price, consider them because I know from experience, working with less than professional people will finally cost you way more. Rick Hill

I want to express my sincere, heartfelt appreciation for the patient guidance JAY DAVIS and his associate Richard Evans gave me with the completion and publishing of my first book!
This book is very important to me! I started working on it 17 years ago, but the task seemed overwhelming! I am now 82 years; old Time was running out. Fortunately, I found Jay!
The book is a collection of stories about the outstanding business success of a great man with whom I was associated for 42 years. I wrote this book as a gift for his six aging children, his ten grandkids and a growing number of great grandchildren.
His family members are of course very familiar with his personal achievements. However, because the stories in the book are business related, they are mostly new to his family. This book was totally unexpected and greatly appreciated by the family. It was the most satisfying gift I have ever given a nonfamily member, and I would have never completed it without Jay’s devoted encouragement.

Mark Bennet is an excellent sales manager. Mark demonstrate patience and made himself available to my services when I needed him. I called Mark multiple times a day asking questions and he made sure that I knew what was going on with my book. As a first time writer, he made sure that he was with me along the way to guide me. I shared with him that I was really nervous, about the company taking my money ( some companies are like that and there are nothing to show for it) again he was there to make feel safe about writing. I have self-published before with CreateSpace which was part of Amazon but no longer available. When I found out about Amazon Self Publishing, I contacted them and got in touch with Chris Walter and his team. They were very kind, listened and communicated well and often, professional, patient with changes in editing/proofreading and corrections, kept in contact and answered questions often and quickly, never complained or grew tired of my extending the project. The end result was great, it didn't break the bank, I keep the rights, they included options for a digital flyer, too. I get my first official batch in the mail today (author copies I purchased to hand out). I didn't do the book for the money, but the sales and profit % are very fair. I thank Chris and his team so much!!

I published a book through Amazon self publication a few months ago and had a wonderful experience! They handled everything for me and my book was published within 2 weeks. My publishing manager, Mark, did an outstanding job. He deserves a raise! My book "In the Yellow Daze" is just as I have dreampt it would be.

I am happy with my last book I published here-the cost was a fraction of the cost compared to a hybrid publisher- I was also able to use my own illustrator , although they had several available I could have chosen. Mark Bennett was my great helper in this endeavor, as I am not a professional and needed advice and help in the computer and technical aspect. It was a must for me to be able to call him at any time and he was always available and kind. I’m not sure if other self publishing companies have a real person assigned to you, but this is a must for me- the personal touch. I will publish here again!
