I came across Altitude Quest through a mutual friend who knows someone working at the company, which was already reassuring. This was my first time in the Himalayas, and I decided to join one of their 10-day tours in April 2026.

As a solo female traveller, I especially want to mention how safe and well looked after Ramesh, the company owner, and Mingma Sherpa, my guide for the 10 days, made me feel throughout the entire trip. I truly can’t thank them enough, or put into words how much that meant to me as a solo female traveller on my own in the middle of the mountains.

Mingma was absolutely spectacular - one of the most competent, knowledgeable and fun guides I could have possibly asked for. He made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable.

I was also genuinely impressed by Ramesh and his team’s passion and dedication to trekking, mountaineering and nature. It’s clear that they truly love what they do, and that passion really comes through in the way they look after their guests.

I hope I’ll one day have the chance to return to the Himalayas, and without a shadow of a doubt, I’ll choose Altitude Quest again.

Talking about my experience with this agency is truly a pleasure. It was an incredible journey. Nepal is a place where the culture, the energy, and the magic of the mountains take you into something truly unique. An experience that goes far beyond adventure — it is about spirituality, connection with nature, and especially with people.

And about the agency team… from the very first contact in Kathmandu until the last day of the expedition, they were by my side the entire time. Not simply as service providers, but as a true family. Always concerned about supporting me, making sure I was okay, checking if I needed anything, if I was enjoying the experience, and also taking me to local places so I could truly experience the culture.

That goes far beyond tourism or mountaineering. It is about care, hospitality, and genuine human connection.

I want to sincerely thank them for all the support I received, for their professionalism, for keeping me safe throughout the journey, for sharing their knowledge, for their calmness during difficult moments, and above all, for their technical expertise. Without a doubt, this is an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I had the pleasure of summiting a 6000m peak with altitude quest! I am happy to report a successful trip with amazing memories. Permits, flights and accommodation went smoothly and all I had to focus on was not falling off the mountain. My guide throughout the process was Tsewang and his knowledge and skill made me feel safe and well taken care of the entire trip. Detail were organized by Ramesh who was a great resource to have for the logistical side of the mission.

So grateful for everyone involved and happy for the successful summit!

I feel very lucky that to find this local tour company that customize and offer good experiences for my trip in Nepal. The arrangement is smooth, hotel stayed is nice, food is excellent. Our guide Ramesh is super friendly and professional. The trip arrangement is planed well, not too rush, and flexible. He makes extra miles, helping me to make arrangement with the airport staff to get my delayed baggage from KTM to Pokhara. Really appreciate.

Great trip to Nepal with our fantastic tour guide Ramesh. He introduced us with nice local food and explained those culture and places well. Great experience and gain a lot of knowledge from him. Of course we didn't forget about our skillful driver who drove us to each destination safely.

Our Ghorepani–Poon Hill trek in Nepal was an unforgettable adventure, made even better by our amazing team: guides Ramesh and Mingma, and porters Adam and Neerosh.

From day one, everything felt well organised, safe, and fun. Ramesh shared helpful safety tips about trekking in the mountains and dealing with the cold, which was especially reassuring since it was my first time trekking in Nepal. Every evening we had a quick debrief about the plan for the next day, and mornings started with group stretches to warm up before hitting the trail, which definitely helped before climbing all those steps!

What really made the trek special was how everyone had each other’s backs throughout the journey. Our guides were professional, knowledgeable, and full of good energy. We also had some funny moments trying to pronounce “rhododendrons,” but it was amazing that we timed our trek perfectly to see them in bloom!

My favourite moments were the early morning hike up to Poon Hill for the incredible sunrise over the Annapurna range, and the final day’s peaceful walk through lush green forests. It was quiet, cool, and unbelievably beautiful. It was the perfect way to end the trek.

We were also surprised with beautiful scarves and a certificate at the end, plus a mug printed with our trekking photos. I thought that it added a personal touch that made the whole experience even more special!

Huge thanks as well to our incredible porters, Adam and Neerosh. We couldn’t have done it without them.

PS: Special shoutout to everyone who helped locate and transport my glasses after I accidentally left them at one of the teahouses along the trail! I appreciate it so much!

This is our second time trekking with Ramesh. Ramesh is an incredibly caring and trustworthy guide who is an expert in the trekking field. He made sure our safety come first and prioritised bringing us a good and welcoming experience throughout the journey.

Our Everest Base Camp Tour with Altitude Quest was just amazing! Everything was perfectly organized and we felt safe and in good hands at all times. The team really took great care of us and was always helpful, attentive and professional. It was particularly positive that many services were already included, for which other groups had to pay extra. You can immediately see that there is a lot of experience and passion behind it. We can really recommend Altitude Quest to anyone planning a tour to Everest Base Camp!

We’ve just completed the incredibly beautiful trek through Banthanti (Day 1), Ghorepani (Day 2), Poon Hill for both sunset and sunrise, Tadapani (Day 3), and Ghandruk (Day 4) — and what an unforgettable journey it has been!

We “cheated” a little with a jeep ride from Banthanti to Ghorepani, but it brought us there safely while helping us avoid walking along the jeep road. It was absolutely worth it. At Poon Hill, we were rewarded with a breathtaking sunset followed by a serene and magical sunrise the next morning — truly one of the highlights of the trek.

The journey from Ghorepani to Tadapani was a fulfilling 6–8 hours of trekking through stunning landscapes. The rhododendrons were in full bloom, painting the mountains in vibrant shades of red and pink against lush greenery. Our final day ended in the beautiful village of Ghandruk. It was a bittersweet moment stepping into the jeep to return to the city, carrying unforgettable memories with us.

A heartfelt thank you to Mingma and Ramesh for guiding us through this wonderful adventure! Ramesh was incredibly helpful and responsive from my very first enquiry, ensuring everything was arranged for the best possible experience. Mingma was always positive, cheerful, and supportive throughout the trek. They led daily warm-up sessions, helped with ordering our meals and drinks, regularly checked on our energy levels, and accommodated our last-minute requests with patience and care. We felt completely supported every step of the way.

Personal Ratings:

Guides: 1000/10 — absolutely exceptional!

Season: 10/10 — We came at the perfect time to witness the rhododendrons in full bloom. February offered fantastic weather: cool and comfortable, neither too hot nor too cold.

Overall Difficulty: 5/10 — Beginner-friendly with a fair amount of ascending and descending. A moderate fitness level helps, especially if you’re not used to stairs. (Jeep options are available if needed.)

Terrain: A good mix of uphill and downhill stretches, manageable and rewarding.

Tea Houses: Friendly hosts and great food — we enjoyed Dal Bhat every day, each with slightly different flavors! Most tea houses had good amenities, with many offering ensuite bathrooms. Some may require a small additional fee for WiFi or hot showers, but overall the facilities were very comfortable.

Overall, this trek was an incredible experience made even more special by the outstanding service and care from the team. Highly recommended!
