Structural survey
We had a structural survey carried by the engineer Abbas which was very knowledgeable and patient to explain things. We received a very detailed report as expected: full of pictures he took on site, easy to understand and with clear recommendations. We are happy and 100% recommend Alpine.

Poor customer support
They were efficient with booking my home report, just not very pleasant to deal with when I had queries afterwards.. very dismissive of me which wasn’t necessary. Wouldn’t recommend given how many options there are for these surveys.

Firstly we would like to apologise again if you feel you have not received an acceptable service.
I have reviewed all of the correspondence between us, and recall that you were displeased that a washing machine engineer found mould within the washing machine, and we had not seen it. As stated, we do not check inside white goods as part of a building survey. You believed that the survey fee should have been refunded as a result of this, which was totally unfair and unjustified.
In turn I believe that your review is not justified due to this, but still I apologise that you were not totally satisfied with the service, and we wish you well.
Structural engineer advice
The structural engineer who attended, Abbas, was very knowledgeable, thorough and polite throughout his visit. He answered all of my queries and was very respectful. I was extremely pleased with his visit and the advice he gave me. The Company was quick to respond when I initially requested a quote and I did not have to wait long for an appointment. They are also competitively priced compared to other quotes I received. I would definitely recommend them.

Abbas is knowledgeable and trust-worthy.
Abbas is a very knowledgeable and experienced structural engineer. He’s very friendly and patient. We had him in the house for over three hours and went through a very long question list we had about our new home. Abbas listened patiently and attentively, and gave clear opinions with detailed suggestions to follow. We are very happy to have his consultation and would definitely recommend him.

Highly Recommend!
The customer service was outstanding, from the initial consultation call from Mark the Director who personally took the time to arrange for the surveyor to attend to my property. I was so pleased with the service I received from this business - Big recognition to the surveyor (Miraj) who attended my house and found the issues that other businesses / Surveyors could not identify.

The surveyor arrived on time and was polite, patient and helpful. He walked round the house with us noting our specific concerns and addressing them before doing the survey. He explained his findings to us.

I have used a couple of structural engineers in the past however this is the first time I have used Alpine and Abbas the engineer that turned up was absolutely fantastic. Not only did he identify the problems but also suggested excellent solutions. Would highly recommend Abbas and would be more than happy to use him again when required.

Structural survey carried out on our house
We had a structural survey done by Alpine Surveys as we are facing some major issues with the house. Abbas carried out the survey and he was very thorough, extremely helpful, informative, and answered questions we had in a very clear and concise way.
I highly recommend Alpine Surveys and if / when we need this kind of service in the future, they will be our go to Surveyors.

Professional and knowledgeable
Great experience throughout with Alpine. We had a structural survey conducted by Abbas and getting it booked in was easy and they charged a very competitive and reasonable fee. Abbas was very helpful and put me at ease with his vast knowledge and talked me through any defects with the property, all of which he considered minor. The report arrived back quickly within the specified timeframe and looks great. I am very happy with the service I received from Alpine and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a survey.

Very pleased with the service
Very pleased with the service. Visit booked for 7 days ahead. Competitive price for a level 3 survey. Great communication. Report returned 3 days after the visit. Very thorough, checking little but important details we missed during our visit. They were also kind enough to look into specific questions we asked, about possible extensions, minor works, and insulation potential.

Awful experience
Awful experience, cancelled last minute and could only offer another booking almost a month later, now have to go through all the fuss of finding another company during this already stressful time, do not recommend.

We are truly sorry that we had to cancel the appointment. This was out of our control, and would have been avoided if possible. One of our Engineers has let us down, and this is not how we choose to treat our valued customers. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that we have caused, although the delay was 1.5 weeks and not a month as stated. We ask that our prospective customers understand that the overall service that we provide to all is five star, and that unfortunately every business have isolated issues that cannot be avoided.

Good old fashioned honest and professional service.,
What a breath of fresh air.
Bit of a minefield to find a surveyor when your are in a new area and been had over or need some professional advice.
Good old fashioned service starting from the girls on reception.
Fast, professional service and the knowledge of the RICS backing.
42 years in the construction industry and very pleased to be appointed Ervin.
He had experience of hands on project management and it showed in his survey and findings.
I would not hesitate to recommend Alpine, nor use them again myself.

Avoid!
Administrative errors resulted in the surveyor going to the wrong address. In spite of the mistake I was still charged 360 pounds and threatened with legal action when challenged. Avoid if you want anything approaching a pleasant experience.

This is a totally inaccurate review of our business. As per any survey, we request certain information, including obviously the address of the property to be surveyed.
The client responded to the email quoting an address, and confirming everything else including our terms and conditions.
Our Surveyor travelled to the address provided, only to be told by the clients parents that it was the wrong address. The correct address was at least an hour away in the wrong direction. This was early afternoon, and it was not possible for the Surveyor to travel further, allowing time for the survey, to return home, and to complete two reports for the day.
As a result of the clients mistake, we had incurred all of our costs, and it was therefore correct and reasonable for us to request payment from the client.
The client failed to state that we offered a 20% reduction as a gesture of good will should he rebook with the correct address, and also that he initially refused to pay us.
When such an error is made, it is only correct for the company to be paid as agreed.
We believe that this is a totally unfair and unjustified impression of our business.

I am generally not the one to write feedback, but on this occasion I really felt the need as the professionalism and commitment demonstrated by Mr Mark Dobson was exemplary. His subject matter expertise and command of his areas is superb and he was more than willing to share this and provide professional solution for a long standing damp problem. After thorough analysis they diagnosed the root cause and problem was fixed ( so far so good), we were mislead by so many leak Detection companies and spent 000's, but here in 00's in 4 hours the root caused was detected. I recommend them highly and will use them again ( I hope no other problem).

Overall Poor Customer Experience
I am unable to share my review, and have been forced to remove it twice by the Director of the company. Overall:
- Surveyor sent gave a biased report omitting important facts and details and including unsubstantiated assumptions
- Director called out in person to make it right, so customer service is obviously important to him. I had accepted his explanations and decided to drop any discrepancies observed despite the cost of the report and the fact that I was not 100% happy with it.
- I was called soon after he left with advice that payment was due from the customer rep who booked the survey. I advised that I would pay it later. She called again the next morning while I was on a walk taking a sick day due to ill health. We got disconnected and she proceeded to call me 6 more times.
When I answered them on Saturday, still unwell, they accused me of not paying when I said because it was not on the Thursday when we last spoke and shouted at me regarding payment being now overdue, two days after the last visit. I tried to explain to them that I was unwell due stress and would deal with this on the next working day. They continued to shout and would not listen, so I disconnected the call. They followed by sending me a final demand for payment on a Saturday.
- When I complained about this by email, their responses showed a lack of consideration, empathy or trust
- insulted, exhausted and harrased. I paid them and left a bad review, which they demanded twice that I remove on the threat of law suit for defamatory content regarding their business.
- this defeats the purpose of the review system if customers cannot share both negative and positive experiences with a business.
- if they are so concerned about the negative review they should make every effort to make it right, instead of leaving an argument with untrue allegations, in return

This is a very disappointing review, and is abnormal as can be seen by our other reviews. We would like to confirm that we have not, and can not force anybody to remove a review, as it is only Trustpilot who could do that.
Our Surveyor undertook a detailed survey, and included everything with regard to the history and facts obtained on site from both the client, and the affected property owner beneath. The report also contained all of the survey data obtained at the property, which confirmed the issue.
The client stated that she was not happy with the service, so the Director (with 36 years experience) cancelled his appointments for the next day (at cost to us), and visited the property himself free of charge. The intention was to understand how the Surveyor performed with regard to his customer service, and his survey thoroughness. We think this in itself shows our commitment to customer service, along with our other reviews.
The survey had been performed correctly, and the results were correct. The survey results confirmed that the damage to the property beneath is due to a water leak in the clients flat above. This is where the client has a problem, as we understand there is an ongoing dispute with the building management company and the property owner beneath. The client was trying to convince us to insinuate that the damage beneath is not her responsibility, when in fact it is.
The Director spent an hour at the clients property, explaining in detail why all of her alternative suggestions for the damage beneath were not feasible.
The client was then contacted by the office on that day, and requested payment for the survey as per the agreed terms and conditions. The client confirmed that she would make a bank transfer that Thursday night. On the Friday it was evident that she had not made the promised payment, and rightly the office tried to call her, when we politely asked her to make the payment, the line went dead.
The office tried to call her on one further occasion that day, and not six, and also emailed her, both were ignored. Yes we called again on the Saturday, and requested payment, at which time the client became aggressive accusing us of all sorts. The client later paid us, and then left a negative review. The sad thing is, as per every client, we would have worked with her in order to assist her where possible, and help her resolve the situation with her leak.
We ask that our customers accept that we have made every effort to assist the client, however as our survey findings did not fit, the client refused to accept them. Please kindly review all of our true reviews. Thank you...
