One of the worst banks, if not the worst I have encountered.

I am Greek, I live abroad and I cannot manage or access my money in Greece. I tried everything, phone calls, branch visits, internet banking, everything. I cannot even acces my money. And they do not allow me to have a debit card due to their amazingly bad systems.

They also have very slow responding and annoyingly low knowledge staff, that raise their hands when asked to solve an issue, they charge for transfers withing Greece.

Avoid at all costs. They do not deserve your money.

Είναι απίστευτο αυτό το πράγμα με αυτή την τράπεζα...17 φορές κάλεσα για να μιλήσω με εκπρόσωπο και ο τηλεφωνιτής τους δεν με συνέδεε με τίποτα και στο τέλος το έκλεινε. Κόντεψα να πάθω εγκεφαλικό από τα νεύρα μου. Στο τέλος πήγα από κοντά σε τράπεζα και έγινε ο κακός χαμός. Και θέλουν τα λεφτά μας και δεν δίνουν ρεαλιστικούς τρόπους εξυπηρέτησης. Αυτή η τεχνική με τους τηλεφωνιτές γίνεται επίτηδες από πολλές εταιρίες για να μην χρειάζεται να προσλαβάνουν πολλά άτομα στην τηλεφωνική εξυπηρέτηση μιας και οι 8 στους 10 πελάτες από τα νεύρα τους εγκαταλείπουν την προσπάθεια για επικοινωνία στο τέλος. Απαράδεκτο. Ξεκάθαρη απάτη εις βάρος των πελατών που έχουμε τα λεφτά ΜΑΣ εκεί πέρα.

Awful app and rude personal

Thieving bank that steals 200 dollars on a 500 euro cash withdrawal. Garbage transaction rate, you refuse it then alpha says there is an error in your refusal for the outrageous rate upcharge and they charge it anyways. Complete scum, illegal and typical greek experience which is why no large tech or other corporations that dont screw Greeks over exist in greece. The slave system is alive and well in greece because of disgusting banks like this and employers who behave the same way while workers suffer. Do not go to alpha ever.

I really was looking for 0 but only had 1 star,as you can see the reviews of this bank are terrible and I can confirm this.i tried to open an account and was told that my card and pin will be ready in a few days, I waited over 3,4 weeks due to being busy and nothing.i go back and tell them this and the member of staff tells me this is a regular occurrence and cards get lost all the time and will order again, 2 weeks later still othing.i go again in my lunch break and tell them just close account and could not believe what reply was, charge €1.70 and I said take from balance and told me you are in minus due to charges and I have not even started banking yet.i left because I was really angry, use Cyprus, Hellenic, Astro Banks these are a joke.

Προσπαθώ εδώ και 3 μέρες να ανοίξω λογαριασμό online γιατί δεν έχω χρόνο να πάω στην τράπεζα και η εφαρμογή μου βγάζει σφάλμα. Τηλεφωνική υποστήριξη είναι χάλια, δύο φορές που πήρα τηλέφωνο μου είπαν να πάω σε κατάστημα χωρίς να ακούσουν καν το πρόβλημα, λες και δεν τους επιτρέπουν να μιλάνε πάνω από 1 λεπτό με τον κάθε πελάτη. Όταν ρώτησα πως κλείνουμε ραντεβού μου είπε "μπες στιν σελίδα και θα το βρεις". Χειρότερη υποστήριξη πελατών δεν έχω ξανα δει. Άστο, θα πάω σε άλλη τράπεζα, δεν θα σκάσω κιόλας.

Completely unreliable with a glaringly insecure electronic system. It took criminals only 3 minutes to steal money directly from my wife’s account, and for two months now, despite countless complaint forms and repeated visits to branches, they continue to hide and avoid giving any clear answer about whether they will refund the money or when. Notably, the funds were stolen straight from her account without any phishing or user error— they simply vanished. This is unacceptable negligence and utter disregard for customer security and accountability.

7 € για μια "βεβαίωση" τι υπόλοιπο έχω στον λογαριασμό! που βγάζω μόνος μου στο ebanking!

After years of using the Alpha Igoumenitsa branch on our holidays and feeling exasperated after every interaction we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service we received in the branch this June holiday. The bank manager was quick to offer assistance each time we entered the branch. This is a rare phenomenon in Greece!

Thank you Mr Kavadias for ensuring that simple transactions remain easy to do, and that holiday makers spend time on beaches rather than in bank queues!

I can't believe this is happening in the 21st century. They blocked my account and I went 3 times and they turned me back three times. Today I went with all the documents and they told me it could be in 10 days. Not being able to access your money, how does that sound to you?

Dupa parerea mea Banca dvs isi bate joc de clienti, am solicitat inchiderea unui card de credit, am fost in Sucursala Nicolae Grigorescu si mi sa zis ca nu este inchis dupa apx 15 zile, in conditiile in care am bifat ca am nevoie pentru credit. Din Sucursala respectiva mi sa zis sa sun in call center, sun in call center si imi zice sa ma duc la Sucursala(adica nimic clar, ma plimba de colo-colo).
Sincer la cum abordati si cum vb cu clientii nici macar o stea nu as acorda, numai zic ca am cerut o micsorare a ratei, deoarece alte banci au dobanda mult mai mica si mi sa propus o micsoarare cu 50Ron(bataie de joc fata de mine), in conditiile in care nu sunt la primul credit la dvs si nu am avut nici macar o intarziere in 10Ani.

Avoid this bank at all costs! They have so few employees that getting help is nearly impossible. The branches never pick up the phone, leaving you with no way to communicate except through their frustrating telephone center. If you're waiting for your debit card at a branch, good luck—nobody will assist you.

Even worse, if you dare to walk in without an appointment, be prepared for a fight. The staff acts like you're inconveniencing them just by showing up. Horrible customer service, zero accessibility. Stay far away unless you enjoy wasting time and energy.

Too bad I cannot put 0 start. Possibly the worst bank on the planet. Archaic and unhelpful. They absolutly don't care about their customers. There is always a problem and nobody willing to help to fix it. The standard reply is "come to the branch" when you call, which leads to more time wasted and frustration. Avoid at all cost.

Worst bank experience ever, words are not enough to describe their failure

Έκανα Αίτηση αμφισβήτησης για μια ηλεκτρονική αγορά καθώς δεν έλαβα ποτέ την παραγγελία. Μου ζητήθηκε (ανώνυμα) να διευκρινίσω το είδος της παραγγελίας (δεν κατάλαβα τι σημασία έχει) και αφού απάντησα, δεν έχω λάβει (40 ημερεσ μετά) ποτέ απάντηση

Απαράδεκτη τραπεζα εξυπηρέτηση δημοσίου με ατελείωτη αναμονή υπέρογκες χρεώσεις για τα προϊόντα και εννοείται για να σταματήσει μια πιστωτική κάρτα η οποία δεν χρησιμοποιήθηκε ποτέ εφευρίσκουν χίλιους τρόπους για να μην σταματήσει η πάγια χρέωση της
Μετά από τηλεφώνημα στη εξυπηρέτηση πελατών για να με ενημερώσουν για την χρέωση εκδόσεις επιταγής η απάντηση ήταν ότι δεν γνωρίζει

Worst Greek bank.
The customer service is unreliable and the safety of transactions is the lowest I've ever witnessed. Avoid at all costs.
