Beautiful kettle, but disappointing that it can't be repaired
I love the design of my Plissé kettle, 10/10 for that.
Unfortunately, at almost exactly five years, it stopped working. From my point of view it seems to be a problem with the switch, so potentially something quite small.
I contacted Alessi asking about a repair and their customer service was very good. They replied quickly and told me it wasn't possible to repair. Then they offered me a 30% discount on a new kettle.
I'm a bit disappointed. They don't offer a repair service or have an external repair partner, so it seems like such a waste that it's going to end up in the bin because of what might be a relatively minor fault. I think that's what bothers me most. I bought an Alessi kettle because I love good design, but that should be making things that last longer and that can be repaired?
So two stars are for the looks and the helpful customer service.

The guarantee really is for life. I had an old moka pot that broke, so I contacted customer support, sent it in, and received a discount on a similar product. Customer support is responsive, but I had to contact them multiple times to get the process moving forward.
