I applied for a Healthcare role with Agincare and had a good experience. The process was simple and communication was clear throughout. The team was professional and overall, a positive experience.

I would not recommend this care company based on our experience.
As first-time users of care services, we found the overall standard to be disappointing and, at times, distressing for my elderly parents.
On the first visit, the carer arrived without any identification and was not in uniform, which was very unsettling. There were also repeated issues with timing—carers would arrive as early as 7am, knocking loudly and repeatedly ringing the doorbell, despite being asked to come later due to one patient returning late from dialysis and needing adequate rest.
We also experienced a lack of appropriate staffing, particularly female carers to assist a vulnerable elderly woman with personal care. This resulted in her going without a wash for an entire week, which is unacceptable.
In addition, there was no consistency in carers or visit times, with different individuals arriving at varying times each day.
Overall, our experience suggests that this company does not prioritise the wellbeing and dignity of its patients.
Fantastic care, my Mum is very happy. The food is wonderful and all the care staff cannot do enough. They are superstars.

I tried the other number but it was not connecting. I walked up and down by the lounge windows where an elderly lady was screaming for help but no staff there. Eventually went home and phoned the Head Office to complain. They apologised and took my phone number and said the person in charge of new enquiries would phone me back. They did not bother to call. My experience is nothing like the marketing details shown on their website.

When it had got to the stage where my mum needed full time care, we decided that she would be better off in her own home with a live-in carer. I set about contacting a few care agencies but was most impressed by the representative of Agincare. She and I included my mum in the conversation and when I decided to go with Agincare, they sent me the profiles of two carers. My mum has been looked after well and Agincare have done their best to find carers to cover when her permanent carer has a holiday. All care agencies are expensive which is what you would expect, but Agincare was cheaper than some agencies that I approached. If I have any queries about my mum’s care, I know that I can approach them and they will do their best to assist.

Write a negative review a while back and reply said manager would contact me - never did. They left my mum with 2 weeks notice via an abrupt email told me I had to find alternative care- not true they have to inform social services. Only gave 1* because I had to. Wouldn't employ Again are to walk my dog- and I don't have a dog!!!!
I have found my dealings with Agincare to be excellent. The staff are compassionate and caring. My relative did manage to escape at one point, but there was no attempt to conceal it and she was swiflty returned. The procedure for a deprivation of liberty was explained and applied for. The carehome is clean and welcoming and very good value

Dad has dementia and we did all we could to keep him at home, but it simply became too much for his safety and my mum’s and we weren’t able to look after him as a family any more. He’s been in Victory Care Home since mid November 2025 and he is really well looked after. They do lots of activities and the staff are very friendly whenever we visit. They always answer the phone quickly when I call up for something.

The support that we as a family received from up to, during, and after the cessation of the wrap around service provided by Agincare was excellent. We experienced a very attentive, empathetic and professional service. As for the wrap around care itself, it was incredibly valuable to us. Both carers provided were exceptionally good with Mum - had this care not been available to her, she would most likely have been discharged from the hospital and put in danger.

I arranged live-in care for my mum with Agincare and we've had a very disappointing experience and they have fallen well below our expectations. We've yet to even receive a sincere apology, the best they could do was try to defend themselves that their care workers are able to meet the mechanical needs of my mum. They don't care about carer compatibility or the dynamic in the house. Good companies would offer compensation or some kind of good will gesture for the trouble caused, yet Agincare can't even admit they were wrong and apologise.
Things started off well during the assessment, as they did a very thorough assessment and they very carefully identified our requirements. I had high hopes and I thought my mum would have a good carer ahead of Christmas. We were told we'll be sent several profiles of carers based on our preferences. However, the carer they sent did not correspond to the profile we asked for, and they also didn't have experience of my mum's equipment, and didn't have the temperament and patience of someone needed to care for someone with dementia. I was told that I can request a change of carer if we weren't happy, yet when I asked for it they said they don't have capacity to provide someone with the requirements we asked for. They never told me they had capacity issues before I signed the contract, they made sure they took my money first (of which I had to pay a month's worth of care in advance).
They also charged me more than the estimated price. I wouldn't have minded if I was going to get a high quality service. On the contrary, they are by far the worst live-in provider we have used, as well as the most expensive, and I regret giving notice to the previous provider.
The whole experience has put my mum and I under a lot of stress. I have learnt not to be fooled by fancy adverts.

Neglected the care needed for their client.

We were very fortunate to be guided to Demi at Agincourt to arrange a short term care package for four days that could enable me to attend a conference and the Inside Out Dorset festival in September 2025. They were resourceful in as well as the care visits to the hotel in Weymouth, suggesting going to one of the local Agincourt care homes when away from Weymouth which meant I did not miss too much of the day programme. They were always on time and professional, caring and careful in their work with me.

I applied for a role at this company, and the girl Lauren Oliver called me on Thursday 2nd October and sent me a link for a teams interview for Monday 6th. I entered the meeting and Lauren Oliver did not enter the meeting, leaving me waiting for 20 minutes. I called today 7th and spoke to Joe at 11am and he said would look into it. No call back from Lauren, and when I did eventually speak with her, she claimed and said she did not know who I was or the teams link she sent me. How unprofessional. I am genuinely looking for work and this person has made a mockery out of that.

Awful experience for my dad
Awful experience at Gainsborough care home swanage for my dad. He went in for a month whilst being assessed by social care. For those patients with dementia/Alzheimers avoid this place please. There were conflicting stories as to whether he had 3 or 4 or 5 whole body washes. Stories differed. His sponge was still in its wrapper. His tooth brush hadn’t been used. He lost an incredible amount of weight. We are unsure if he was encouraged to eat his meals. Dad was dressed in other residents clothes and slippers at one point. Tobacco, filters and papers went missing regularly? Although the last lot did turn up after he’d left. He’d been left outside all day on one of hottest days of the year until 9pm. I know this because I spoke to the nurse the following day to say that dad was in the garden and could they please get him in and not forget him. His mood became very low and he appeared to be depressed. He was desperate to go home. He came out so weak his mobility is very poor now plus he came out covered in his own faeces which had dried all down his legs and was all over his slippers. We wonder how long that had been there.
Unless your relative is not needing quality care let alone just the basic care someone deserves please don’t send them here.
He is now in another nursing home and seems much much happier. They have shaved him cut his nails for him and he is so relaxed and at the moment and hasn’t asked about going home as yet.
Worlds apart it seems.

I have been very impressed with the care provided by Agincare Home Care Service. The staff are not only friendly and approachable but also highly competent, knowledgeable, and excellent communicators.
My sister’s care plan, along with its ongoing updates, has always been explained clearly and concisely, which gives me great confidence and peace of mind. In particular, I would like to highlight Ms V.R, the Team Leader in the Burgess Unit. She organises her team exceptionally well, ensuring continuity of care and communication even during her absence. On those occasions, the team has kept me fully appraised of my sister’s well-being, which I deeply appreciate.
Overall, my experience has been extremely positive, and I wholeheartedly recommend Agincare to anyone seeking professional, compassionate, and well-coordinated care for their loved ones.
