I own an insurance brokerage and Safeco, now Liberty mutual outsources emergency road service to this company and my elderly ill client waited 4 hours for a jump/tow. This is deplorable/unacceptable/pathetic... This is metro Phoenix and there are plenty of towing companies within miles of his location. Do not use this company.
Needed a jump
Needed a jump. Estimated time was 60-90 minutes. After 90 minutes, estimate was 35 minutes. I called, they said 15 minutes. An hour passed, I called and they said 10 minutes. When I complained, they hung up on me mid call. Horrible customer service and a wasted morning.
Agero lies and is incompetent
My State Farm claims agent assigned a tow through Agero. Throughout multiple calls, the Agero representative provided inaccurate information and refused to accept responsibility for the failures of the assigned tow company, OT&BU.
Agero first claimed the tow company scheduled the pickup for the next business day because they believed the vehicle was being taken to a repair shop. This was never the case. From the initial request around 1:00 PM, it was clearly stated the vehicle was to be towed to my residence. All businesses were open at that time.
Later, I was told the tow company was en route, yet I continued receiving texts pushing the pickup time later, with no response to calls or texts. I went to the tow lot at 4:45 PM, paid all fees owed, and was told the tow truck should arrive shortly, as it had reportedly been dispatched around 2:15 PM. I continued calling hourly until 8:00 PM, but the tow truck never arrived.
The next morning, the tow lot confirmed no tow driver ever came by, and they are open 24 hours. Despite this, the Agero representative claimed the driver attempted pickup but was turned away due to unpaid fees, which is false. I have receipts proving payment. As a result, my vehicle accrued an additional day of storage fees. The Agero representative refused to cover these added charges caused by their failure.
I requested reassignment of the tow to the tow lot currently holding my vehicle, but was told no, followed by another inaccurate claim that the company was not active in Agero’s system, despite the fact they regularly run Agero calls. Another tow company has now been assigned. Overall, I am appalled by Agero’s lack of accountability, poor communication, and the resulting financial impact on me.
Worse company to work for!
They don't even deserve a star. This is the WORST company to work for. I'm even surprised they are still in business. I used to work for Agero about a year ago, and they treat the agents like sh*t, they allow to let the customers curse at us and use the excuse that the customers are upset and we need to put ourselves in their shoes. That is definitely BS because at the end of the day, I am a customer myself when driving and there is no excuse for people to be allowed to curse at the agents when they are trying their best to assist. The owner of this company is a big POS and all he worries about is making him look good and making his own money. He stopped giving out bonuses! He doesn't pay these agents enough money for the load of work they do. They deserve at least $20 an hour if u want people to work there longer and help the customers. You want agents to lie to these customers. The service providers as well say Agero is cheap as well and end their contact because Agero fails to pay them. I had lots of service providers call, curse me out on the phone when dispatching saying HELL NO, YOU GUYS ARE CHEAP AND HANGS UP. Their POS system they use is really cheap and they blame the agents saying it's the Internet or our computers. They NEVER want to take the blame for anything and want to put the blame on us. They lie during their interviews with the recruiter, they will ask you what is your availability but in reality, they will switch the schedule every 6 months doing a shift bid that's worthless and dumb, they use excuses of due to business needs. There are over 300+ employees so there's no excuse to say business needs. A lot of people quit this job during training which is sad. What does that tell you about this company? Save yourself from applying and working here. Thank me later.BTW the owner of this will try and delete this review but what he doesn't know is that that's already reports make to the BBB and they are already investigating. Not to mention Agero has so many lawsuits and also their CFO has resigned, hmmm I wonder why? THIS COMPANY HAS A BAD DOWNFALL ALWAYS SWITCHING THEIR POLICY ALWAYS SWITCHING SUPERVISOR EVERY MONTH.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, non existent application team that ignores emails, tickets and denies any requests for a supervisor.
They did the job, but got mad when I didn't buy his battery
They did the job, which was jumping my dead battery. He was really nice at the start. Then he tried to sell me a battery because mine was dead. I said no thank you. Immediately his attitude shifted and he got mad and stormed off once it started. I was not expecting to be sold a battery. This was roadside assistance through USAA. I wish they would switch away from Agero. This dude made me feel uncomfortable the last few minutes. Cause I didnt buy a battery he wanted to sell me for $170.
Delays on delays
Delays on delays. Why take the tow job if you can’t make it within 90 minutes? Now, they’re saying another 45 mins.
FRIED MY VEHICLE AND WONT OWN IT
On August 18, 2025 we contacted our insurance who sent out a rep to jump start our vehicle through Agero. Now, 2.5 months later, our damage claim is behind denied because there is not enough evidence.
FACT: Before YOUR agent showed up, our vehicle simply said low battery. Everything else worked. Dash came on. Lights came on. Rear hatch and window opened. Running boards engaged. Car would respond when using the key fob. Clearly had power just a lower battery.
FACT: When your agent showed up he was LOST. He started at the fuse box under the hood - the total opposite side of the battery.
FACT: YOUR agent then disconnected the fuse block from the top of the battery and connected 1 jumper cable directly to the positive post of the battery and the other to the starter relay on the fuse. HE THEN FED POWER THERE WHICH IN TURNED FRIED THE STARTER RELAY.
FACT: After YOUR agent left the car would do nothing. No lights. No dash. Running boards didn't engage. Hatch would not open.
FACT: Car was towed by someone way more component than YOUR agent directly to the dealership and the dealership confirmed the starter relay had been fried!
We should not have to provide videos/photos as evidence as we rely on the services to help us NOT make things worse.
You services have been horrendous from the beginning.

I would not even give this company a 1 but it won’t let me go lower!!! I have insurance thru USAA. I broke down Feb 28th Triangle Town Center. The tow truck showed up with two people, neither of them looked experienced; my car had a mechanical issue they never tried to put my car in neutral. With the wheels locked slid my vehicle on the back of the tow truck rear end first and when they got to my house they jerked my vehicle off the tow truck scraping the nose of my car into my concrete driveway!!! BMW Z4 sits low and as they jerked the vehicle the car just dug into the concrete. It was not drivable but there is a way to put the vehicle in neutral. One guy was in the vehicle and when it finally got to the edge of the truck he braked the car so it wouldn’t hit my garage. I was traumatized but I didn’t argue with them because it was late at night and I feared for my safety. Upon reporting this to USAA and Agero, Agero has denied responsibility and now I have to fight to get my vehicle repaired. Photos and f the damage were submitted but they argue that my heckle was moved from my driveway before the photos were taken although there is clear evidence of how my vehicle was towed to the mechanic and my car was not driven after it as towed to my house. There is no way the damage could have been caused by any other source other than being delivered that night. Agero is a careless and wreckless company that allows untrained service technicians to drive their trucks. Agero will never tow anything I own ever again!!
Unbelievably poor service
Unbelievably poor service. You cannot speak to an individual and I had three tow trucks cancelled on me after an hour wait each. I went with AAA, and im canceling my tow coverage through agero on my UsAA policy. Horrible experience multiple times before today.
Tow truck driver damage
The tow truck driver moved my car from a parking spot and damaged my bumper.Then he took a picture. Claim denied.

They where dispatched by my insurance provider USAA . The person they sent had 0 knowledge on diagnosing the issue with my truck that would not recognize the key fob even after I changed the batteries . After turfing my yard with a tow truck that was more vehicle than the guy driving could manuver it . He could only hook up a battery charger when it was obvious that the battery was not the issue . He smelled so foul that my truck still smells ftom him sitting in the drivers seat trying to start the vehicle numerous times when the outcome was the same over and over . He then proceeded to phone backup support who didnt know anything either . He unhooked the chargers and when asked if he had any answers he said " nope" and just left ....unbelievable incompetent, rude ,foul smelling person . I would never use this company and will tell everyone I know how bad the service is ...
But after reading the the many negative reviews after the fact ....I see that Im not alone in my negative review
Terrible Customer Service and dishonest company!
This is the absolute WORST company to tow your vehicle! I had to pay over $1500.00 in damages due to the negligence of their tow truck driver. My insurance company USAA hired them as a third party to tow my vehicle that had a minor problem, and even after giving them proof that my vehicle was damaged by how they towed my vehicle, they denied my claim! Very dishonest company! DON"T USE THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT AT ALL!

I don't know how I wound up being transfered to this outfit when my car broke down with me and my 2 dogs in it.. I have Progressive insurance with roadside assistance and this is the outfit they hooked me up with. A barly speaking English woman told me I would have to pay a $7.50 fee before tow truck would come. I was desperate so did pay giving them my credit card. Then they called me back saying tow truck canceled because of my 2 dogs. First thing i did when I did finally get a tow 3 hours later was check my bank account and the fee is pending. Will now have to go through the process of getting a new card and then hassle that will involve. I will be calling Progessive insurance about this nightmare.

I broke down on Monday State Farm sent…
I broke down on Monday State Farm sent me a wrecker. We took my car to the local shop and Agero sent me a Lyft coupon I can get a ride free up to $30 well I went from the shop to my job 2.5 miles. Total was $20.06 and Agero didn't want to pay for it false advertisement . State Farm had me contact them haven't heard nothing back yet
Contract not honored
Waited almost two hours and then they told me they couldn’t find an in network tow company. Said they had two tow companies that could get my motorcycle. One was $250 and the other was $500. I have roadside assistance so should not have been a charge. Mad as hell about this.

My car stalled on the PA Turnpike yesterday afternoon 7/5/25. After being towed off the highway by another company, I requested to be towed home (66 miles) through my roadside assistance from USAA around 5:40PM. I paid an extra $120 because the distance is further than 50 miles. After waiting for another 2 hours a representative called to tell me that no drivers in the area wanted to make the drive and that they would reschedule the request for today 7/6/25 at 8am. She said to please call back at that time to expedite the process and I checked into a hotel. Called this morning at 8am as instructed and was assured someone would accept the call in 20 minutes. By 11AM I had made several calls and talked to several virtual agents who all assured me they were making calls, to please be patient, and to wait another 20 minutes. The last virtual rep I spoke claimed no knowledge of my request and said the request was for Monday morning at 8am not today. I called to speak with a live person about this and they said no one was available to complete the tow and that I am now scheduled for Monday morning 7/7/25 at 8am. 3 other agents then called with the exact same information. I have paid extra money for the service to be towed home yesterday evening and have now paid for two nights of hotels and am still waiting to get towed home! I will also now miss work tomorrow as well. There have been no mechanics open and/or available to service my car. I've been stranded by this company! Absolutely horrible, extremely stressful, and an unnecessarily expensive experience!
Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest
Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest, they don’t even deserve that. My son had a flat tire and was stranded on a major interstate for over 6 hours do to Agero’s lack of customer service. Calls to their call service center, along with multiple supervisor were worthless waste of time. Finally we got the auto insurance company supervisor involved to help resolve the situation. If you’re thinking of using Agero or your auto insurance contracts through them, consider this fair warning, they are worthless!
What a joke
What a joke. Called for a dead battery. Some guy shows up almost 2 hours later and puts the little box on my battery tells me to give it a try but the box isn't powerful enough so it didn't start. Then he tries to tell me that his box is working fine it has to be something else. I changed the battery myself a day later and it works just fine my battery was just dead. Don't waste your money paying for roadside assistance with this company they'll just send an idiot out to tell you that there's something wrong with your car.
