90% of Board decisions were in support of transportation companies and not the customer

Useless organisation created to support transportation companies like Metro A/S, DSB, Movia, etc. It's not working in favor of customers at all, despite that it was set up to be a mediator in disputes between customers and the transportation companies.

Just look at its stats publicly available here - the list of Board's decisions: abtm . dk / afgorelser

Just in 2023 alone, they had 143 cases to review:
- 90% or 128 cases were in favor of the Transportation companies
- 8% or 11 cases were in favor of the travellers (taxpayers)
- 3% were appeals, out of which 2% were appeals which were dismissed and only 1% (1 single case) resulted in an overturn of the case decision

You have higher chance to win when fighting against a wind in the storm, than winning a case in ABTM. Don't even waste your time (it takes about 4 months to get a decision) or 160 DKK fee that they charge you for reviewing your case. If you want to really get a meaningful result - ask your INDBO insurance for legal case support and launch a court case for the small claim at minretssag . dk - there you got a chance.

This organisation should be dissoluted and no taxpayer money should be wasted on it.

I has proof the webpage has a bug

I has proof the webpage has a bug, and it cost me 350dkk but they just told me it was my fault, I send it to abtm, and they said the same even with all my proof.

Be careful as they will side with a multimillion company instead of you. 5 years and not a single problem, now this.

“Ankenævnet for Bus , Tog og Metro”

Are you considering appealing a fine with “Ankenævnet for Bus , Tog og Metro”, if so, make sure that you know the laws for public transport inside out, forwards and back and you can win the case not on merit but purely on the written law. Judgement will be applied purely on whatever law can be used to nail you and EU consumer law or any human decency will be flaunted if there is a rule or law which says otherwise.

Ankenævnet for Bus , Tog og Metro use a panel of 5 members to judge any case, 2 member has consumer interest backgrounds but the other 3 members are made up of 2 members which represent the public transport operator and one judge (probably a circuit judge) who will happily find ways to rule against you. A verdict of 3-2 is all it takes to cast a ruling so the two guys who have consumer interest has no chance in hell against 2 public transport member and a person which could easily be replaced with a computer programme.

When you read the laws and rules written for the Danish public transport system, you may get the impression that you are up agains a expert corkscrew thinking which thinks like criminals far beyond what a normal human mind is capable of. The laws and rules leave absolute no room for blonde moments or regular human behaviour, misunderstandings or faulty ticket apps.

Ankenævnet for Bus , Tog og Metro is not a consumer service staffed by people who have consumer interest at heart, you pay them to screw you over, I feel sorry for the two guys in ABTM who try in vain to direct consumer rights back on track.
