We were able to successfully reduce your property's market value this year, although we certainly understand that the resulting savings were smaller than you expected. Property tax appeal results can vary considerably based on the available evidence, the property's valuation, and the county's decision. In this case, we were pushing for a much larger reduction, but ultimately the county did not rule the way we wanted them to. Appealing is unfortunately not an apolitical process.

I do want to clarify that since you enrolled in our Full Service offering, our team handled the entire appeal process on your behalf, including researching your property, preparing the evidence, filing the appeal, negotiating with your assessor, and attending your hearing. Of all the tens of thousands of appeals filed in your county, the size of your tax reduction places you solidly in the 86th percentile. By this I mean that only 14% of people in your county will see a bigger reduction than you this year; the rest will save less money or save no money at all.

Second, your appeal was filed and protested by one of Texas's best property tax experts. She holds a rare "Senior" Property Tax Consultant license, an MBA, and has won thousands of appeals over her 20 year career. Our agents always act in your best interest and try to win the largest possible reduction.

Finally, it's important to remember that the final verdict is entirely out of our control. We make our case to the appraisal review board, and hearings are not an apolitical process.
