i went into buy a mobility scooter in ableworld woolston southampton. dean explained everything perfectly and set up the perfect bundle of the things i needed. also the other man sorry i forgot your name helped and delivered the same day. thank you so much for your help and for helping pick the right one for me

We have been using ableworld for our elderly mother for a few years now having a stair lift fitted (having to have it taken out due to flood in house and then reinstated) we have bought a number of things in which to aid our mother to live in her own home we find every member of staff extremely helpful and would thoroughly recommend ableworld woolston

technical mind explaining things for my simple mind, I had some queries about some equipment to help with stairs and I am NOT technically minded at all. Dean Rofe was a lad who put it in a way I could understand and put me at ease with what i need to discuss with family - definately gonna grab him when I come back to buy - good kid

I brought my Grandmother into the Southampton Branch as she was having issues with getting out of her chair which was very low down and she struggled daily. We thought we would take a trip to this branch whilst we was in the area visiting relatives, So see what we could get to help her, upon arrival we was greeted with a smile and Friendly man - Dean. He showed us both and discussed the option for my Grandmother. She sat in each chair and showed her how each one worked. There was a really lovely selection of chairs which to help my really fussy grandmother to pick from. Dean was exceptional and even offered us a hot drink which was well needed on a cold day. Thank you to Dean what a lovely man to help us both. We will be using Ableworld again in the future.

I have now dealt with Dean a few times during my research to find the right product. He has been most helpful each time - Polite, listening to my requirements and able to recommend or talk through the best solution. Would absolutely recommend Dean. 5 Stars!!

I was having issues of wetting myself embarrassingly while out and about and sore Ableworld may be able to help. I was a little embarrassed to go, but I must say young Dean at the southampton branch put me right at ease. He talked me through what they had and recommended the disposable briefs and some pads to help me when I fall short. He put me at ease wearing this kind of thing, as jokingly or not he said he wears them on a night out. But seriously very professional and made a very uncomfortable old man feel at ease so thank you Dean - I will be back.

We had brilliant service from Dean at Ableworld, from the first phone call in the morning to the service we received when we got there; he was friendly and polite. Dean told us what days & times he would be available to repair my Dad’s wheelchair and was able to fix it whilst we waited. The other lady on the shop was very friendly as well but unfortunately I didn’t get her name.

Replacement seat needed for a relative's mobility scooter. First class attention from polite, professional staff (Asst Mgr Peter) at Woolston, Southampton branch. Good communication at every stage of the process.

A nut and bolt had fallen off my disabled daughter's wheelchair and had a temporary fix. I asked Dean for the correct bolt and he was kind enough to not only replace that but check the other bolts and worn fittings at the same time. Excellent service, would definitely recommend Ableworld to anybody else.

Just returned from Ableworld in Woolston where we have been several times before. As soon as we entered the shop we were served by Dean who was incredibly friendly and knowledgable and couldn’t do enough for us.He helped us choose the most suitable wheelchair which we are more than happy with. Cannot fault the service. Thank you very much.

I won’t think of going anywhere else for my specialised equipment. Today the brakes on my triwalking came loss. Popped into the shop Jeff tighten the screws in minutes. Great service with a smile, what more could you ask for. Thank you

Needed a punctured tyre replaced and as usual prompt and polite service Stewart came within a couple of hours from my phone call which was great. Always great service from this store

We needed a stairlift for my wife who struggles to get upstairs. On calling the Southampton store, we received a quote within 48 hours and decided to go ahead. The installation took place just a couple of days later by Steve who was kind and considerate throughout. The installation took about 2 hours plus another 30 minutes when he carefully explained to my wife how she should use the lift.
It was a very good experience throughout.

We visited the Southampton branch and were served by Dean. He was very attentive to my wife’s needs, taking time to talk things through and let her try products in store.

I would like to thank the staff at the Woolston branch in particular Peter and Stewart. They fixed my rollator and didn't charge me. I have always found them helpful and friendly.

Very friendly and helpful

After getting no help on the Island, we went to the mainland to Southampton and Ableworld. This is an incredible place, the staff are wonderful, JEFF in particular. He showed us the mobility scooters, helped me to decide which one was for me, didn't hurry me, and explained how to use the scooter in detail. We also bought a wheelchair and Jeff continued in a friendly professional way, to help us choose the right one for me. I can't praise this store and the team enough, we left confident we had the right scooter and wheelchair, and all the advice needed.

I rang Ableworld Southampton on Wednesday 21/09 at approx. 9.30amto enquire about a riser recliner chair I had seen online. Dean explained that it was an end of line piece and was not in stock. He offered to make enquiries to see if he could locate one. We discussed other similar chairs and he suggested the Wrenbury. I explained that I was in Gloucester but needed the chair for an elderly relative in Portsmouth and I wasn’t too sure of the size. He was extremely helpful, patiently answered all my questions and I said I would visit the Gloucester store that afternoon.
My sister and I visited the shop and met Brian who had come down from Crewe to cover for regular staff. He was fantastic, he demonstrated the chair with my ‘petite’ sister in it, nothing was too much trouble. He showed us the colour swatches, the fennel green being the colour of the one in stock in Southampton. We left having decided that the petite would be the right size and went home to ring and order it.
By the time I spoke to Dean in Southampton again, Brian had already contacted him and the chair had been reserved for us. I paid for it over the phone, and Dean arranged delivery of it to their home between 11-12 am next day and also the removal of her old chair.
At 11.30 am on Thursday, I received a call from the live-in carer to say the chair had been delivered, perfectly situated, and the old chair taken away.
The 94 year old recipient is reported to be delighted, much more comfortable, able to get to her feet more readily although completely puzzled as to where it came from……lol
It’s unusual to receive such high levels of service and I can’t praise Ableworld enough for their helpfulness, attention to detail and efficient completion, less than 26 hours from initial phone call.Particular thanks to Dean, Brian and the delivery crew. I will certainly recommend your company to others and should I need more items in the future, Ableworld will be my first port of call.

Rarely have I been to a shop where the staff have been so friendly, so understanding and so knowledgeable - all very important assets when it comes to buying a mobility scooter. My wife and I would like to say a big thank you to Megan who guided us through a potential minefield and helped us make the perfect choice for me.

My wife’s wheel chair needed a replacement front wheel. One of the staff found a replacement and fitted it with no charge. Excellent service, highly recommended.
