I had a great experience with Abacus. Chelsea and Grace were a great help with questions. They got in quick and arranged viewings. Chelsea was very patient especially when I had second thoughts about selling and gave me time to decide. It was a stressful experience but both made it easy for me by answering my questions.
Chelsea and Joanne kept in constant contact with me and liaised with the buyer, his solicitor and my solicitor through out the process of the sale of my business. Both girls were friendly professional and efficient. Excellent service from Blacks Brokers and I would thoroughly recommend them.
I urge you to get a solicitor to read through the T&C’s before signing with this company and shop around , their terms of business are harsh , I had to pay them a lot of money for doing nothing because I was locked in their contract and didn’t end up selling through them . Your circumstances could change as mine did . My buyer was not through Blacks / Abacus and whilst I accept it was my error for not fully understanding / remembering the contract this experience has brought me extreme stress and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this. I was shaken by the aggressive and condescending telephone manner towards me and threatening emails. I found a review through ukbuinessbrokers.com about blacks reviews and complaints
This gives an honest opinion and concludes do not use this company as their terms of business are unfair . I only wish I had found this before . It also shows a sample of their contract to demonstrate the fees. Whilst it’s dated 2018 it’s still the same contract .

Chelsea has been such a huge support throughout the process, especially with the added pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic. Nothing is too much trouble and she went out of her way to ensure that the service and process was as smooth as possible. A great asset to the company with a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the sector. Would highly recommend.
