Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, nachdem die Papiere fertig waren mussten wir noch etwas auf das Auto warten, danach ging es los, auch die Rückgabe gestaltete sich unkompliziert. Kann man nur empfehlen.

The second time we rented an electric car from 7M for a few days to travel Madeira. The online order experience went smoothly, and we opted for payment upfront on insurance; the insurance with card deposit does not really cover you... We opted to rent an electric car once more, to benefit from parking over the busy season. The car was washed and it looked vacuumed inside as well. We checked for warning lights, and we were off within 20 minutes. We were able to find parking easily at charging terminals and charging never took more than an hour. From our previous rental experiences on the Island, the car panels will be banged-up, so ensure you have it all recorded. They accept South African Driving Licences, since these are also in Portuguese - no need for International Drivers Permits. Driving a small electric car on the extreme inclines is a breeze, and easier to navigate the narrow roads in the City and villages.

No hidden fees, excellent car condition, no deposit for a decent insurance price

Horrible experience. Even if u pay the full insurance, the tires are not included.
And for a fiat panda they ask u 310 euros for one tire.

We could not get through when kept calling for assistance.
Sadly I think the company is understaffed as when we did get through the staff were clearly trying their best but stretched to the limit.
The reason we used this company was that they were recommended by a taxi driver but sadly we had a terrible experience.
We had to wait for a long time to get a car and other people in the queue had been waiting for hours. The drop off was straightforward. The car was fine.
We would not use this hire car company again as we found the experience very stressful indeed.

I have done an internship for 5 months in Madeira, and every time I had a weekend I rented a car from 7m (I have rented at least 13 cars) and wow… There is a reason I always rented from them. I specifically rented from 7m monumental, Joana, was a saint. Always giving me the best car which suited my needs. 7m is the cheapest rental with the highest quality. Super reliable and amazing staff whom makes you feel at home. Highly recommended.

This was our second rental with 7M at the Lido, Joana was again very helpful in arranging a weeks rental with minimum delay at pick up. The car was clean and well presented with no problems. The return was easy, with Joana very efficient in checking the car. We will use 7M again on our next visit to Madeira.
