Awful service that I foolishly gave 3 chances. We ended up waiting at least 45 minutes each time, up to an hour and a half past the reservation time to actually get keys in hand due to long lines and understaffed locations. 2 out of 3 times online payment wasn't registered by their system, despite me receiving confirmation had been, causing even longer delays. Despite charging a surcharge for after hours return, they will tell you that they actually don't do after hours returns at all outside of the airport, despite being allowed to reserve online at a specific location at a specified time after hours.

Awful, avoid these people.

We rented a Harley motorbike. We drove it for about 30 miles, turned bike off and it would not restart . We were told it was our fault, that we had run the battery down . They wanted another 500euro to send another bike out. We would not pay so they left us stranded. They took 2 days rental and 500 euro deposit and would not give anything back. The assistance guy was very rude and treated us as if we knew nothing (my husband has been riding bikes for 40years)
We checked Harley and it is physically impossible for us to run the battery down if the battery was in good condition .
They told us to raise a dispute with our bank, which is suspicious . We also raised a issue at the police station in Madeira and were told it had happened before

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE!!!

We got the car back unfortunately 50 minutes late because we got problems fiding a gas station. The lady started to shout with us immediately trough the phone that we must pay 100 euro penalty, and an extra single day with insurance, even if we had the car for 4 days. We arrived with the car 2 minutes after the call, and after we mentioned that we won’t pay 140 euros because of this 50 minutes late, the lady started to shout more loud that she’s calling the police, and pointing in our faces with her finger. We paid the amount then, after that the lady blamed us about a previous damage on the car. Fortunately there were photos of the car.

Speechless behaviour, never experienced something like that.

The car rental was quick and efficient in a nice atmosphere. The formalities were taken care of quickly and without any problems. The car was clean and functional. The return of the car was quick and without any problems.

Booked 3 times with them. No problems at all.

We have had an unfortunate experience while renting a car in Funchal. Despite having booked and paid online for 2 cars online this process has been anything but seemless. We arrived and waited for over 2 hours with no engagement from the worker. We eventually were greeted with the warning that it was now lunch time and we would be waiting an additional hour. It is entirely unacceptable to me that despite a reservation and prepayment we will be 3.5hours from arrival to the storefront to the time we get in our car. Currently, still do not have the vehicle so the total time is unknown.
ETA: after 5+ hours we got a car

Destroyed the whole day of my vacation. Girl working there was nice and understanding but the general policy and costumer service of the company is terrible. Insurance is a scam and it is worth nothing. Honestly it is much better to just go with a travel company on daily trips and take local busses where you can than renting a car.

Wir hatten eine tolle Erfahrung mit 7m. Zunächst hatten wir leider unsere Kreditkarte vergessen, sodass die Kaution nicht blockiert werden konnte. Kein Problem - beim Bringen (!) des Autos an das Hotel konnten wir einfach eine Zusatzversicherung abschließen, sodass keine Kaution nötig war. Das Auto war in top Zustand, der Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei Rückgabe des Autos wurden wir sogar noch bis an den Flughafen (Madeira) gefahren. Ich kann dieses Unternehmen also guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen :)

Avis pour 7M Aeroporto da Madeira. Pour commencer, le loueur nous a fait payer 100 euros de plus que ce qui était prévu sur le contrat initial, ensuite, nous demandons de venir nous chercher à l'aéroport avec un siège bébé pour notre enfant de 18 mois mais aucun siège dans le transfert... Lors de la location, il nous refile un siège enfant cassé que je demande à changer, puis encore un problème avec le carburant qu'il note à 1/2 alors qu'il est à 1/4. Il change donc ca sur le contrat... Ça commence à faire beaucoup. Pour finir, j'endommage le véhicule en marche arrière car les freins n'ont pas fonctionné correctement. Lors du dépôt du véhicule, le loueur me dit qu'il me prend ma caution et qu'il me fera un devis et me remboursera la différence. Il me rassure et me dit que tous va bien se passer. Au bout de plusieurs messages sur Wattsapp, appel telephonique et mail, plus aucune réponse de leur part, sauf qu'il m'ont pris mes 2000 euros et mon assurance attend le devis et leur déclaration d'assurance. Ce sont des voleurs et je déconseille fortement de louer un véhicule chez eux. Quand je vois tous les autres commentaires négatifs, je ne comprends pas pourquoi j'ai réservé une voiture chez eux.

We reserved our car in advance via the company’s website. We had to wait nearly an hour to get the car due to slow customer service.

The car’s fuel tank was not full. Only at 1/4 level. We had to guess how much to refuel when returning the car. Also, the return took a lot of time, again due to slow customer service.

There should be more employees for handling the customers quicker. This has a huge effect on the customer satisfaction.

Got a car with broken breaks which maked a very loud and anoying noise. Service told us that WE have to drive with this car to a mechanic to clean up the breaks and if this doesnt help we will get a new car.
Then the service gave us a wrong adress of mechanic it was not able to find. When we returned to Service, it was closed because of having Break, so we had to wait more than a Hour. Finally After long discussion with the service, we got a new car.
We wasted More than 4 hours with this stupid service in our vacation.

My experience of this branch is that they were very poor. A long wait to deal with the paperwork is not unusual, but of much more concern was the fact that the deposit was debited to my UK credit card twice in error, and the resultant additional card charges and loss on exchange when the second unauthorised deposit was eventually refunded were not reimbursed to me. The refund took very nearly a week.
My complaints were simply dismissed in a cursory manner and no apology forthcoming.
I now live nearby in Madeira, and I certainly will not be using them again, especially as I have now discovered that there are plenty of cost effective alternatives on the Island, and even locally in the immediate vicinity.
Very happy to provide all of the booking details, in order to avoid the recurring generic and dismissive response from the 7m team suggesting that the review is false.
Their website is certainly amusing to check out. Apart from false claims such as 24 hour support when their opening hours suggest otherwise, among the languages they claim to speak include Welsh as well as Japanese.

Based on my experience, I can confidently say that 7m is an honest company that delivers exactly what you expect from a car rental service, they collect you from the Funchal Airport, then you complete the rental process, car was nice and clean, staff are very friendly and helpful, returning the car was just as easy. Esperei perto de duas horas pela entrega do carro, quando me foi dito que não demoraria mais de 15'.
Contestei o tempo de espera que foi justificado pelo trânsito (dia de semana, 14:00).
Funcionária não tomou qq iniciativa para saber o que se passava.
Foi-me recusado acesso ao responsável superior.
Entregaram-me um automóvel (smart for four) em que praticamente todos os painéis tinham danos.
Tive que devolver o automóvel (na mesma loja) passados 30' por avaria, já presente quando mo entregaram e comprovado pela funcionária.
Voltei a pé para o hotel. Recebi um sms da companhia perguntando qual era o problema com o automóvel e porque o tinha "abandonado".
Entregaram-me no hotel, no dia seguinte, um novo automóvel, igualmente com danos exteriores visíveis, que apenas utilizei para me deslocar do hotel ao aeroporto.
A quando da entrega no (perto do) aeroporto constatou-se que não constava cópia do contrato de aluguer.

Entrega de vehículo en malas condiciones y con casi 1 hora de retraso. Ruedas muy desgastadas y le comunicamos al empleado que ese vehículo no presentaba la seguridad necesaria. Nos llevaron a por otro vehículo desde el hotel donde había gestionado la entrega con un coste de 10 euros. Nos hicieron perder tiempo y nos cobraron los 10 euros de la entrega. A las 2 horas salto el aviso de falta de presión en los neumáticos del nuevo vehículo. Tuvimos que buscar una estación de servicio para comprobar la presión. En definitiva, deja bastante que desear esta compañía de alquiler de vehículos.

The service is very organized and easy, you can book a car in advance and get it delivered to precise location and time of your choice, as well as customize your drop off. The staff are amazing, super friendly and knowledgeable, feels like a family 🤍 I highly appreciate them and truly recommend 👍🏻

On 5/10/2024 I contacted you because I had a flat tire with the car I rented from you. The flat tire was caused by the bad road surface.
You charged me 521 euros which I did not agree with at all but because I was a foreigner and a tourist I had no choice but to pay this amount. Because of your mafia practices to ask such a large amount (I know what such a tire costs) a part of my vacation was ruined. Do you know how long I have to work to earn 521 euros? I got another car from you that I don't use anymore because I didn't want to take any more risks because of your gangsterism.
I think it is shameful that you work this way, I think this is a form of theft

Op 5/10/2024 heb ik jullie gecontacteerd omdat ik een platte band had met de auto die ik bij jullie gehuurd had. De platte band veroorzaakt door het slechte wegdek.
Jullie rekende mij hiervoor 521 euro aan waar ik totaal niet met akkoord was maar omdat ik vreemd en toerist was kon ik niet anders dan dit bedrag betalen. Door jullie maffia praktijken om zo een groot bedrag te vragen ( ik weet ook wel wat zo een band kost) was een deel van mijn vakantie om zeep. Weet je hoelang ik moet werken om 521 euro te verdienen? Ik heb een andere wagen van jullie gekregen die ik niet meer gebruikt omdat ik geen risico meer wou nemen wegens jullie gangsterpraktijken.
Ik vind het beschamend dat jullie zo te werk gaan, ik vind dit een vorm van diefstal
