Never work with this 387 rental company, they are so bad in communication, so poor in performance, so stubborn and high ego in nonsense matters !

I had a reservation confirmed at Sarajevo airport with 387 rent a car via rentalcars however the 387 rental car company was very strange and didnt give me the car for several ridicolous reasons and i dont understand how people can still work with them ??

First, the guy there acted at least 5-10 mins as if i wasnt there where he continued to talk to his colleagues for a matter with laughters and asked me several times for the drivers license and passport although i put it in front of him at his first request, very poor service and uneducated & unprofessional employee with no skills to rent out a car !!!!

After all above; he started with my passport and credit card and said my credit card isnt accepted by his system (although a message for password came to my mobile after 2 mins) he said he didnt know the reason, l gave him another credit card and he said he cant accept the second credit card bcs numbers werent highly !!!! Visible ! Then i gave him my third credit card and finally i received the password for the deposit which he wanted to get 1350 Eur ! When l told him the password he said the password wasnt correct or it wasnt working!

He tried to sell at the very beginning insurance asking for daily 55 eur only for the insurance where the daily rental rate was 20 eur per day for a class of seat Leon ! I told him that l didnt want insurance and that l would take the risk, other companies were charging 10 eur per day !!!!! He wasnt happy bcs ı didnt want his overpriced insurance. As a result, I couldnt get the car with 3 credit cardsş represented to him ! What a super technological rent a car company 387 is and l couldnt rent a car from them whereas l rented in almost all parts of the world with the same credit cards !

No need to talk about the nerd and snop behaviuors of the kid there !!!

I reached out to 387 prior to my rental pick up time (10am) to inform them that I would be a day late and to please hold my vehicle as I would happily pay for the day in which it was not in my possession. I reached out on WhatsApp via messaging and called their listed phone number 3 times. No one responded.

When I arrived at 10am the next morning they had given the car to someone else, had me wait the entire day, and at 5pm informed me that the only option was to wait until the following day and pay an additional 1,000 euros to get a higher class vehicle than what I originally reserved. They refused to make amends for giving my original vehicle to someone else. I have now had to rearrange travel plans for a full week as a result of their poor service.

BEWARE! THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS.

Sarajevo Airport: They decline online reservations and credit card payments only to tell you that you need to book it through them WITH their insurance which is 4x more expensive than what you'll get on the market. It happened to us and multiple people who rented in front of us.

Everyone who's working there should be ashamed of themselves. I hope someone takes legal action against you and all of you scammers get out of business!! Absolutely disgusting.

They cancelled our reservation without any valid reason just before we were due to pick up the car! Terrible communication and completely unprofessional service. I do not recommend this company! I am still waiting for my refund.

I rented a car from this company at Skopje Airport and paid the full amount in advance (€350). My flight was delayed and I arrived just 30 minutes later than expected. I even took the time to inform them in advance that my flight was running late.

When we arrived, we were told that because we were 30 minutes late, we had lost our right to the car. No alternative was offered, no flexibility was shown, and no refund was provided. We simply lost €350.

Keeping a customer’s money while refusing to provide the service for a 30-minute delay—especially when the customer has informed you in advance—is completely unacceptable. This shows a shocking lack of professionalism and absolutely no respect for customers.

Avoid this company if you value fair treatment and basic customer service.

1 star — Well-documented pattern of scamming customers

Booked with 387 Cars via Booking.com for the cheapest price in Sarajevo — should’ve been the red flag. At the counter they pushed hard for an extra €850 “insurance” never mentioned at booking. When I refused, they claimed my card wasn’t working — despite never using a chip & pin terminal, instead running it through an online system. I kept getting 3D Secure authorization requests on my banking app that they “declined” before I could approve them. Hard to see that as anything but deliberate.

Had to get Booking.com to call and negotiate with their agents directly to resolve it.

Afterward I found this isn’t isolated — Dnevni Avaz reported on two other tourists with near-identical complaints (silent charges for alleged scratches, no proof provided), one requiring a lawyer’s formal warning before a refund. Dozens more reviews on Trustpilot, Kayak and DiscoverCars describe the same “card doesn’t work” tactic.

Staff at neighbouring rental companies laughed when I told them, saying they hear this constantly. Wasted a full day of my trip. Thankfully Booking.com refunded me — avoid this company entirely.

When we finally arrived, the employee told us that our car had been given to someone else. He refused to discuss the situation, closed the office window, and before doing so simply said: “I don’t have time to talk or discuss this. There is no car. Goodbye.”

This was extremely rude and unprofessional. We were left without the car we had reserved despite informing the company in advance about our delayed flight. I would never recommend this rental company to anyone.

I rented a car from them for tow weeks and they were very helpful and friendly. Personal, bokningsprocess and service were perfect. Their cars are economical and excellent for both individuals and families. I highly recommend them.

Next morning called and spoke with customer service and told him I’m in different city looking for transportation he said no problem arrived at location 11:34am and told me I’m late and don’t have my reservation any more because I’m late 4 minutes but have alternative for extra 450 euros and will not be able provide me car with out extra pay

Prevaranti! Ne preporucujem nikakvu saradnju sa njima i treba ih izbjegavati.
Po dolasku na terminal receno mi je da mi kreditna kartica ne radi i da moram kupiti njihovo osiguranje u iznosu od 350 EUR. Konkretan razlog mi nisu mogli dati zasto je nemoguce ostaviti depozit pomocu kreditne kartice. Nazalost bio sam primoran platit iznos, jer nisam imao drugih opcija. Pri tome mi nisu izdali racun.

Booked a car for 100€ but when arrived they asked me 500€ because they force you to buy insurance. Can you imagine car rental is just 100€ and insurance 400€? Big FRAUD!

I rented a car in Sarajevo through EconomyBookings, with 387 Rent A Car as the local supplier. Unfortunately, my experience was very poor and I would not use either company again.

I had already paid online for the booking, including additional insurance and breakdown cover through EconomyBookings. When I arrived at the airport desk, I was asked for a deposit of €2,000 to be blocked on my card, which I understand is standard procedure when renting a car. However, this deposit amount was not clearly shown before arriving to collect the vehicle. For comparison, the same class of car on 387 Rent A Car’s own website showed a deposit requirement of €1,500.

I did not object to paying a deposit in principle. The problem started when I provided my card and was told that the deposit/pre-authorisation had failed. I was then told that I would need to pay an additional €165 for local cover in order to take the car, and that there was no other option.

I contacted my bank on the spot while I was still at the desk and specifically asked whether the rental company had requested an authorisation or attempted to block a deposit. My bank confirmed that no authorisation request had been made.

I also found the process unusual, as I was not given a card terminal to enter my PIN for the deposit. Instead, the card details appeared to be entered manually via a computer, which I have never experienced before when renting a car. When I asked them to try again, I was told they could try one more time, but that if it failed again it may be better not to continue, as I could be blacklisted by them and their partners and may not be able to rent a car.

As I had no practical alternative at that point, I agreed to pay the €165. For that payment, they produced a chip and PIN terminal, and the transaction was accepted without issue.

Separately, the car was not ready at the airport. We were driven approximately 10 minutes to a local car wash to collect it. The car was parked on a kerb, which made it difficult to inspect properly before taking it.

I later raised a formal complaint with both 387 Rent A Car and EconomyBookings. Both companies initially replied saying they had done nothing wrong. I then asked for the matter to be properly investigated and for a formal response. My last email was sent on 11 June 2026, and I have not received any further reply.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise other customers to be very careful before booking with 387 Rent A Car or through EconomyBookings, particularly regarding deposit requirements, local insurance charges, and what support you can expect if something goes wrong.

Avoid this rental company at Sarajevo Airport.

I prepaid for a vehicle through Booking.com and also purchased insurance in advance. When I arrived at the desk, the representative repeatedly pressured me to buy additional insurance for around €40 per day. I declined and agreed to provide the requested deposit instead.

The representative then claimed the card transaction failed multiple times, despite no authorisation notifications appearing on my banking app. After this, they refused to release the vehicle altogether.

The whole experience felt extremely unprofessional and high-pressure. Be very careful when booking with this company, especially regarding insurance upselling and deposit handling. I am now pursuing a dispute through my credit card provider and raising a formal complaint with Booking.com.

If you book with 387 Rent a Car, you are taking a serious risk of being scammed. Companies should stop working with them.

I had already paid the rental costs and insurance through Booking.com, but at pickup they suddenly claimed my credit card did not work for the deposit through their Monri payment system. I never received any approval request in my banking app, and after calling my bank, they confirmed they could not even see a payment attempt. They also confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with my credit card.

Despite this, I was told I had to pay an extra €300 or I would not get the car. It was late at night, I was traveling with a baby, and almost all other rental companies were closed. I felt completely trapped and pressured into paying.

The most suspicious part is that later I was able to pay the €300 with the exact same credit card using their wireless card machine without any problem at all. During my stay in Bosnia, I also used other websites using Monri Payments and everything worked perfectly. That makes me strongly believe the original payment process was intentionally set up to fail.

Another major red flag was that they printed out a paper with extra conditions and requests because the deposit supposedly could not be processed. When I wanted to take a photo of the document for my own records, they refused and told me I was not allowed to photograph it. I found this extremely suspicious. Any legitimate rental company should have no issue with customers keeping proof of documents they are asked to sign or agree to.

On top of that, I did not even receive the car category I paid extra for. I got a completely different category vehicle than the one I booked and paid for.

This experience completely ruined the start of my vacation and caused unnecessary stress for my family. Instead of enjoying the trip, I spent the first part of my holiday dealing with payment problems, pressure tactics, and disappointment.

I would strongly warn people to avoid this company and be extremely careful with deposits, credit card payments, and vehicle categories.

Scammed - sued 385 and WON in court! You can Fight altso!

As i wrote earlier i altso got scamed by them but together with another person, exposed the fraud in newspapers, fought them for nearly 2 years, and won in court.

After properly using and returning the car per their instructions (left keys in the designated box), this rent-a-car company charged me over 1,700 KM for fabricated damage without my presence during inspection. They used their unreliable "damage matrix" and did the exact same to my colleague.
But we refused to back down — we gathered evidence, sent formal notices, battled through a nearly two-year court process, and even took the case to the media to warn others about these practices.

The Municipal Court in Sarajevo ruled fully in our favor in april 2026:

• The charges were UNFOUNDED
• Company must repay all amounts with interest
• We recovered all legal costs
• Court found vehicle inspection was done without client presence, "damage matrix" unreliable, and extra costs (processing, loss of rental income) baseless

TO ANYONE WHO EXPERIENCES THIS: DON'T GIVE UP!

• 📸 FILM VIDEO + PHOTOS of the car before and after
• 📋 DEMAND handover protocol with staff present
• 💼 KEEP ALL communication and receipts
• ⚖️ If they won't refund voluntarily — SUE THEM (you WILL win!)

Absolut enttäuschende Erfahrung mit 387 Rent a Car am Flughafen Tuzla.

Ich habe mein Fahrzeug bereits vor etwa vier Monaten zu einem sehr günstigen Preis gebucht. Bei der Ankunft wurde mir dann plötzlich mitgeteilt, dass meine Kreditkarte angeblich abgelehnt wurde – völlig unverständlich, da es sich um eine vollwertige Barclays-Kreditkarte handelt, die ich weltweit problemlos nutze und die noch nie abgelehnt wurde. Am selben Tag (10.04.2026) habe ich sogar mit meiner Bank telefoniert, die mir bestätigt hat, dass mit der Karte alles in Ordnung ist und keine Ablehnung vorlag.

Das eigentliche Problem: Ich war bei weitem nicht der Einzige. Mehrere Kunden am Schalter wurden direkt nach mir ebenfalls abgewiesen – genau mit der gleichen Begründung. Auch mein Vater, der eine separate Buchung hatte, bekam sein Fahrzeug nicht. Es ist also ganz klar: Das ist kein Einzelfall, sondern ein systematisches Problem.

Besonders schlimm war die Situation für mich persönlich: Ich stand mit zwei kleinen Kindern am Flughafen und hatte plötzlich kein Auto. Das ist einfach inakzeptabel.

Wenn man sich zusätzlich die zahlreichen negativen Bewertungen zu 387 Rent a Car im Internet anschaut, ergibt sich ein klares Bild. Für mich entsteht der starke Eindruck, dass günstige Buchungen bewusst nicht eingehalten werden, um die Fahrzeuge vor Ort teurer weiterzuvermieten.

Fazit: Unzuverlässig, unseriös und absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Hände weg!

Wir hatten im Voraus das Auto über Rentalcars.com gebucht und vollständig bezahlt. Bei der Abholung am Flughafen Skopje hatten wir dann Probleme mit der Hinterlegung der Kaution, obwohl wir eine gültige Kreditkarte hatten und auch auf den Namen der Person die es gebucht hat und auch genügend Limite. Trotzdem hat der Mitarbeiter am Schalter behauptet, dass er kein Depot hinterlegen kann und wir mussten die Versicherung von CHF 350.00 bezahlen und diese Geld haben wir nicht zurück erhalten.
Wir haben bei unserer Kreditkartenfirma nachgefragt und sie haben uns bestätigt, dass es nicht mal einen Versuch gegeben hat das Depot zu hinterlegen. Die Mietwagenfirma macht es extra vom Computer aus und nicht am Zahlungsterminal damit sie dann behaupten können, dass es nicht geht. Und den Kunden dann das Geld für die Versicherung abknöpfen. Absolute Frechheit und Abzocke.
Auch haben wir ein ganz dreckiges und beschädigtes Auto erhalten und auch nicht in der gebuchten Klasse, sondern tiefer. Die Begründung für dieses Auto war, dass wir es erst am Vorabend gebucht haben und sie keine Zeit hatten uns ein anderes Auto aufzubereiten, obwohl wir erst am Nachmittag angekommen sind.

Na dan preuzimanja vozila pojavili smo se uredno i na vrijeme na pultu rent-a-car kompanije. Prilikom pokušaja blokade depozita, moja kartica je bila odbijena zbog sigurnosnih ograničenja, što mi je banka potvrdila i odmah otklonila u roku od nekoliko sati. Unatoč tome, rent-a-car kompanija je odbila da nam izda vozilo, osim ako ne platimo dodatno osiguranje od 140 €, što smatramo nerazumno visokim i neprihvatljivim troškom. Gotovinski depozit, koji smo također ponudili, odbijen je.
Putovali smo s bebom starom 4 mjeseca i proveli gotovo 6 sati pokušavajući preuzeti vozilo, bez uspjeha. Zbog udaljenosti od skoro 2,5 sata do našeg odredišta i nedostatka dostupnih alternativa, našli smo se u vrlo teškoj situaciji. Smatram da u ovom slučaju usluga nije pružena i da ovo ne može biti tretirano kao “no-show”, već kao odbijanje pružanja usluge od strane partnera.
Nažalost, iskustvo je bilo frustrirajuće i vrlo stresno, te ne bih preporučila ovu kompaniju za najam vozila u ovakvim situacijama.
