5*. Needed an urgent repair on a Sony mirrorless camera. Needed repair urgently due to dedicated photography trip I had in 4 weeks time. From first initially enquiry, repair and return, very quick response and returned quicker than expected
First class service.
I was directed to 1st Aidrepairs from my local camera repair team as they were not Sony Authorised repairers. I Email them the problems that my local team had found. 1st Aidrepairs promptly responded with a quote for the cost of repairs. I posted my camera off and they were very prompt in getting the repair carried out. They were great in communicating with the process all along once the camera was fixed I was advised it was ready for dispatch. They were great in holding its return as I was away on holiday and didn’t want the camera taken to a local pick up centre.
The camera is work like new. I can recommend them if you need a repair or service. 1st class service from a first class team.

Very thorough, professional and they investigated all options for me whilst completing the diagnosis process on my lens. This really made me feel they had got to the bottom of the issue.

My 150 600 Sports lens was plying up the Focus motor was not locking on, so sent it to 1st Aidrepairs they told me it needed a new focus motor, they sent me estimate it was very fair I agreed to go ahead with the repair my lens arrived back today so pleased with the work , I will definitely use 1staidrepairs again

Superb job
Superb job! I sent my Pentax 35mm SLR down for repair... and this was a tricky one. It was away for a number of months awaiting parts, but this is a 40+ year old camera, so not unexpected. 21-Year-Old Canon EF16-35L AF Repaired
Absolutely and highly recommended! Sent my 21 year old Canon EF16-35L f2.8 Mk1 in for repair. I bought this lens from the USA and delivered to me in Spain back in 2004 when we lived there and the autofocus NEVER worked.
Finally, and for its 21st birthday (😁), I had it looked at by 1st Aid Repair. Only took a week or two and I got the lens back this morning. It is now better than new with the AF working perfectly. Great job guys and thank you! 🙌👏👍
Fantastic service from beginning to end
Couldn't have hoped for better service. After damaging my Panasonic HCX1 I was worried it may be the end of may main workhorse but contacted 1st Aid Repairs in the hope that they could salvage it. Communication was quick and easy and after sending a few images of the damage, I posted off the camera and to my relief was informed that it could indeed be repaired. Parts were on back order and were expected to arrive in August but by the end of July I was contacted to advise that the work had been completed and the camera was ready to post back.
Extremely happy and can't recommend this company enough.
Excellent Service
I have used 1st Aid Repairs on a couple of previous occasions and found them to be very reliable and informative on the issues with the camera.
Recently, I needed the rear screen connection ribbon on my Sony a7Rii replaced. Job was completed and turned around promptly.
After a couple of weeks the camera started to act up and 1st Aid Repairs diagnosed that it needed a new RL and rear control PCB.
Not their fault, but as an act of goodwill they replaced the items for the cost of the parts and no charge for the fitting. They didn't even charge me for the return postage.
Cannot speak highly enough of the service that they offer and would fully recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic to have fast, independent support to service and repair my cameras and lenses. Really important to my work as a photographer.
Excellent service for Pentax K-5 II "shutter problem"
I had a "shutter problem" with my Pentax K-5 II: on pressing the shutter release button to take a still photo, the shutter was released but was not raised until the shutter release button was pressed a second time. 1staidrepairs (Adrian) diagnosed the system had entered "Quiet Mode" and the problem could be fixed with a reset to factory settings; this fixed the problem. A free fix and such a relief! John Pye (the Ricoh service contact in the UK) was not interested, as "parts for that model were discontinued several years ago and are no longer available". Therefore, 1staidrepairs is my "go to place" for Pentax service.
Fair priced camera repairs from a reliable company.
Istaidrepairs are in my opinion an extremely reliable company, charging fair prices and keeping to their word about their timescale. They send you informative emails detailing everything about their service.
They repaired my Canon 70mm to 200mm lens and when I received it back within 24hours of them telling me that it was ready it was in perfect condition.
If I ever need a lens repair again I will most definitely use them.

When I see 1 star reviews of anything, I think that says a lot more about the reviewer than the product.
Like a fool I let the wind blow my tripod over, which was set quite high, and the camera and lens fell down on to bare rock. Luckily there was no damage to the camera (Nikon D850) except that the dioptre had been knocked out of place making the image in the viewfinder (including the camera data along the bottom) out of focus. The camera would still focus and shoot images without issue, but it was difficult to know what you had actually focused on until you reviewed the image.
After reading reviews I filled in the online form and was truly surprised at how much I was quoted. I had spoken to a Nikon repair centre and to a local camera fixer and was quoted 'at least £300 before we get started'. The quote from 1st Aid Repairs was £180 which included a service, sensor clean and return postage by DPD (who themselves are the best courier company).
I was quoted 2-4 weeks turnaround and received the camera back today, looking like brand new (but with a generic camera cover, not the Nikon one I sent off) less than 3 weeks after I sent it to them.
Communication was great throughout the process and I was charged exactly what I was quoted.
I know who I will be going to if I ever need any other kit repairs. They provided a superb service, did a great job and I cannot recommend 1st Aid Repairs enough.

Several things done including shutter unit , aperture control and replacing the ccd glass . Just got it back and its pretty much like new again . Very good service and pretty quick turnaround . Very impressed with 1st aid repairs and will use them again in the future and recommend them to others .
The company were completely brilliant…
The company were completely brilliant they did an initial assessment of the damage and communicated with me very quickly. I approved the repair and they did my repair as soon as parts arrived from the video camera manufacturer. They were really efficient at processing my final payment and getting the camera returned to me. When it arrived with me it was within 24 hours of me making my final payment and it arrived in perfect condition having been really well packed. There is nothing that they could have done to improve my customer experience a 10 out of 10 service.
Do not use this company. The date of experience does not go back far enough
I sent my Nikon lens in for repair they had it for over two years. They fitted the damaged mount. I then had a email saying there was a problem with the soft focus. That was the last i heard from them. I emailed the company and insisted they sent my lens back. Which they did with no charge. The lens does not fit on the camara very well also the focus does not work. Not bad after 2 years.
