We made the mistake of going at half term it was to noisy also we feel its wrong that ten pin Tuesday is after 6pm during school holidays and £2 cheaper if you book online we can't always plan our trip so its punishment for the customer and unfair

Booked a deal for my daughters 7th bday, not an actual bday deal, but one game (the little ones get bored quick!) With food/unlimited squash & 2hrs of softplay afterwards. Anyway - it's 3:30pm on a Sat afternoon, so it's fairly busy...When we were checked in at the desk, it was quick and fairly straightforward, so all good, however, when I asked the girl who was booking us in if we could give an approx time for when the food could come out (I was hoping for around 4:30pm, softplay was at 5, they wouldn't be hungry at 3:30pm, and I guessed it would take around an hour for 10 of us to bowl across two lanes) anyway, she seemed like she was preoccupied with the computer screen, and just flat out said "no" and that was it? Okay, whatever, we'll just have to hope it's not straight away - it comes out at 3:45pm, it's fairly warm (nuggets/chips) the kids are happy enough. The "unlimited" squash however, was nowhere to be seen....15mins go by and I'm being pestered for drinks, so I go to the bar.."okay, I'll let someone know" was the response. Another 15mins go by and this time my wife has to go up, 5mins later the drinks turn up, at this point we're over halfway through the game. The lane we were on suddenly has a meltdown, and the pins don't come back down (it happens, it's a bowling alley) but no-one responded to the "service" button we pressed (it lights the screen up with a large exclamation mark) after 15mins (everything is 15mins lol) I went to pester a member of staff....(there's lots of staff by the way, but the manager had zero people skills towards them, and was clearly out of his depth in his role of "management") anyway, "I'll get someone out to you" was the response, another 10mins and they finally get to us. The kids enjoyed it, but there was some serious breakdown in communication, and the manager needs to put together some team bonding sessions to iron out the issues!...on a lasting note, the toilets smelt awful, but they always do at the Gloucester site? We'll probably return as bowling is fun, but it was very poorly managed.

Booked the soft play for my 1 year old as was stated they had a toddler area and a junior area, within 5 minutes of being there 4 children had stood on my one year olds hands all over 6 years old and had pulled the divider open, one 10ish year old then ran in and dived into ball pit where that was a child younger than our own, spoke to staff who took about 30 minutes to sort it out and seen the manager get shouted at about 5 times by other families, would never recommend or go again it’s clearly money not care, shame really

Once again a great time had by our granddaughter! It’s a safe and clean environment and very varied.
Being as she’s a toddler I do accompany her but mostly to help her up to certain levels.

I always like to use local businesses but my last visit was not very pleasurable. Our lane still had food remains and empty glass/ bottles from previous users and the surface was very sticky with drink spills. What surprised me is the attempt by staff to put our food order on that sticky table with all the clutter. Had to insist they clean up before serving our food.
Will not be seing me there anytime soon. I would rather travel further for a night out.

What was a really busy day the staff remained attentive and postive- even though some customers were showing very much patience.

The experience ok but there was a lack of staff.

From working in hospitality in the past, I understand Saturday nights are busy. But this night was total terrible management skills from start to finish.
It was my dad’s 70th birthday, my parents had come over from Portugal for it, my sister had come from Taunton and my daughter from Manchester.
When we arrived @7.45 pm 90% of the tables were filled with empty glasses, there was rubbish everywhere.
We ordered our drinks at the table, even though the bar was quiet. 20 minutes later I asked the gentleman ( I can’t give a name because nobody wears name badges in the establishment ) if there was a wait on the drinks? His reply was no. So I told him that had been waiting 20 minutes for our drinks, I saw he had 4 tickets waiting on the side that needed doing already which had been completely ignored.
@7.50 I joined the queue to let the reception know that we were all here. 15 minutes it took to get us registered.
We threw one ball down the alley and the pins got jammed. After waiting 5 minutes pressing the maintenance button nobody came. I walked to the bar and was fobbed off by member of staff who had awful personal hygiene, the stench of bio was horrific. Then found someone who was a managed.
I asked him if there was a problem after explaining all the problems we were having only to be interrupted and told “I have had loads of sick calls so we are short staff”.
15 minutes later we were able to actually start bowling again. At one point I counted at your busiest time you only had 3 members of staff available because they kept going to other areas instead.
Ordering a drink from the bowling alley, we had the same issue again. 20 minutes to get a can out of a fridge!! And the customer service is an absolute joke. Not even an apology when my daughter’s boyfriend went to the bar to get the drink himself in the end because he got fed up of waiting.
I’m so glad that we decided not to have food included because I dread to think how that would have turned out.
As you can imagine. I or any of the rest of the family will not be returning again at any point in the future.

Customer service is appalling, 2 members of staff at the till where you book in to bowl, neither of them looked up neither of them said sorry I’ll be with you in a minute. No greeting at all.

It was rather chaotic. I get that for a saturday night it gets busy, but there was 1 lad on the bar/food area who was completely out of his depth but blasay about it. If you want anything while playing your game, order well in advance, as we ordered drinks and waited 20mins for a glass of pepsi, and my friends drink of coffee and water didnt arrive, so waited longer after 40mins we had finished our game and had to go to the bar to see where the drink was!!. Some lads came in and was being disruptive, just throwing balls down 1 of the lanes, and nothing was done about it. I suggest getting a strong team leader and alot more training for busy nights so things run more smoothly on busier nights. The staff were all young and lovely, but looked like they didnt want to be there

So we booked bowling as part of a birthday surprise but on the day in question we arrived at 15.45 as you suggest on your website.
When we arrived we book in and we were told that we had to wait over an hour and and a half because they were busier than expected. I feel it completely disrupted our plans as I work nights and couldn’t continue with the rest of the day.
I feel we were completely let down by your company and your inadequate booking system.

only comment was food took a while to arrive.

Booked bowling for 4:10, arrived to be told it was fully booked and to come back at 4:30, no problem, went back at 4:30 to be told we were good to go, halfway through the game the game ended and the next persons name appeared on the screen, went to the desk to be told the timer had run out, we were only on there for 15 mins max, after a lot of faffing we were told the lane next to us were just finishing and we could have that one and start our game again, the game next to us finished but I had to go back to the desk to get them to load the game, it was absolute carnage in there and clearly overbooked/people taking too long with their games, this isn’t the fault of the staff but the booking system they have no control over

I understand it will be busier on weekends but it was absolutely chaotic during our visit, to the point we left early as it was so stressful. The toddler part had lots of older children who were running around, not watching where they were going and throwing ball pit balls aggressively all over the area. It was so hot it was uncomfortable, we were all sweating. There was only one person working on the desk so when you wanted to go in/out the area you had to wait for them to unlock the gate. Queues were massive for drinks so we didn’t even bother ordering. No tables/chairs so had to leave our stuff on the floor by the side of the soft play. Won’t be going back and won’t recommend.

Recently done a review and was asked to send a email with more detail I done so to just be ignored after weeks of the email I see the customer service is as bad as our experience at tenpin

Easy process to book and upon arrival.
Place was clean, tidy.
Staff friendly.
Only 3 lanes in use so not busy.
Disappointed a Groupon youngsters were put in lane next to usso we ended up sharing the balls.
As majority of lanes empty I thought this was stupid and unnecessary.

Tenpin Gloucester on a Thursday £10 for x2 games and some burger & chips, what more can you ask for? Incredible value, great quality bowing alley with all sorts of extra things to do whilst there, pool tables, arcade games, laser tag etc etc. Great activity to take the family to, and a good atmosphere. Have been many times and will continue to do so.

Visit as expected

The whole area was filthy dirty, cups plates on nearly every table.
The lane wasn’t ready we had to wait 20 mins. We ordered drinks on the app they never arrived over 40 mins and we had to leave as we had finished our game and had a dinner reservation!
