I got a nice big screw in my tyre on the 28th December. The guys were super helpful and couldn't have been there more than 15mins getting me on my way.

I am not in the habit of writing reviews, but Protyre have asked me to do so. The garage which regularly services my car and completes MOT tests told me that my tyres were showing signs of significant wear. It is because winter conditions were approaching and I have some long trips to make that I called into Protyre for advice and a Quotation for replacements. I was told that there were perhaps 1,000 miles remaining on certain tyres, and so I chose to buy four new tyres including balancing and eco disposal.
Perhaps a week ahead I agreed the date and time. I travelled six miles, arriving on time, leaving my car for about an hour and a half, while I walked to shops in snowy conditions. Upon my return only two tyres had been fitted, no others of that type being on site. I agreed to return perhaps a week later at some inconvenience, when the remaining two tyres would now been fitted. Because of a warning from my regular garage I had also asked for the front wheels to be aligned due to uneven tyre wear. Time had been allotted for this but the existence of thin glued plastic alloy wheel protectors did not allow the tracking instrument to be fitted. It was left that Protyre would investigate the possible existence of larger hooks and contact me. Today I called at Citroen Carmarthen, which rightly or wrongly had fitted the protectors, and mentioned the problem. I was advised to go to ATS where the staff said this was a common occurrence, which they regularly overcame. I could book in for this adjustment at a cost of about £57.
I have used this Lampeter Tyre Fitting Garage for many years, always had good friendly service, and these hiccups are the first such instance. Unfortunately I must obtain an MOT test certificate in the next month.
As a result of my comments above, I was contacted and returned with the car on 23/12/24. The tracking was adjusted in a satisfactory manner by a polite and skilled mechanic. Now I would be happy to give my overall experience a five star score, because it is most unlikely that the same difficulties will be allowed to happen again.

We turned up with a flat tyre after driving from Bristol on Saturday lunchtime - it was 10 minutes to closing but the fantastic Phil fit us a new tyre and saved us a ton of misery and saved our weekend. Fantastic service which was really appreciated - thanks.

Easy way to order and have tyres fitted locally.

Great staff and service

We telephoned for a time slot to change one tyre but when we arrived were told it would be about an hour before the job was done. For one tyre?
We were quoted a price around £150 but were charged £175.
The aluminium wheel and tyre was covered in sealant, in 45 years I've never seen such a messy tyre change.
The staff were polite.
