Had a mobile fitter put tyres on at my home, went for a drive there was severe vibration so I visited national tyres, explained the situation the guy tried saying £7.99 per wheel balance I said I’m not paying as it’s clearly something the mobile fitter did and then I was told to F off, I said don’t talk to me like that he replied “ do something about it” luckily my partner and 3 year old were in the car. I’ve then noticed today that my centre cap is now bent up considering I just had all 4 wheels refurbed like brand new. So I’ve just wasted £630 for a mechanic to mess them up? 486 Woodbridge road ipswich.

I had previously taken my car to another garage as it was shaking terribly over 50mph. They told me they had sorted it but they hadn't so I got in touch with national tyres. They told me to take my car in the next day. Throughout them looking at the car I had 3 detailed updates with what they were doing and Within 2 hours I had my car back and it was driving perfectly. Cant thank them enough. Very happy

Went in to get a puncture repaired, but it was unrepairable. So a replacement tyre was needed. That meant the online (pre-booked) price (£89) wasn't available. I was quoted £103 for the replacement before fitting. On going to pay I was charged £134. The price change wasn't explained. The guy was serving was rude and abrasive. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Definitely not a place to return to.

What a stellar, world-class experience! I went to get four tyres fitted at their garage, and they were generous enough to throw in custom damage on all four of my alloy wheels—completely free of charge, naturally.

When I noticed the carnage and contacted them, they kindly asked me to bring the car back the next morning for an 'inspection'. So I showed up right as the doors opened, only to be told the manager wasn't in and nobody could help me.

Fast forward a couple of days: I went back, and instead of taking an ounce of responsibility, the manager basically lectured me that they had to dismount the tyres, so taking a beating to the alloys is simply 'inevitable' when replacing rubber. Zero solutions offered, just a swift pass of the buck: 'Take it up with customer service, though they’ll probably tell you the exact same thing anyway.' True customer care at its finest.

Naturally, I raised a complaint with Halfords customer service. When I asked for a proper case number, all I received was a generic chat reference number and a promise that someone would get back to me within 48 hours. A whole week has passed now. Still crickets from their support team—though, to be fair, my inbox has been absolutely blessed with Halfords promotional marketing emails!

So it turns out I’m left to foot the bill to refurbish my own wheels out of pocket. Thank you so much, National Tyres. Thank you, Halfords. Truly, what a fantastic, five-star experience. :)

I booked a 10-Point Car Check at National Tyres Horsham using a voucher included with my paid Halfords Motoring Club membership. I arranged my day around the appointment because I am preparing for a long drive to Europe and wanted the vehicle checked properly.

When I arrived, I showed a member of staff a protruding repair plug on one of my rear tyres. He looked at it very briefly, said it was not dangerous and would wear down by itself, and then asked whether there was “anything else”, as though the appointment was already finished.

I had to repeatedly remind him that I had booked a full 10-Point Car Check. Only after I insisted did he open the bonnet and briefly check the oil. He then closed the bonnet and again asked whether there was anything else. The other advertised checks were not carried out.

I received no checklist, no written report and no confirmation of which items had been inspected. Instead of completing the booked service, the employee said he would cancel the appointment so the voucher could be returned.

Although I used a voucher, this is a benefit included with a paid membership. I was left with the strong impression that my appointment was not taken seriously because I was not paying the branch directly.

The whole experience felt dismissive and unprofessional. I had reorganised my day for a service that was not properly delivered, and my safety concerns before a European journey were not taken seriously. I have now submitted a formal complaint and am reconsidering my Halfords Motoring Club membership.

They lied about repairing our handbrake but thesame fault came up during MOT ,just within three months.poor service

Beware of the situation where when ordering a tyre and arriving at the fitting centre at the appointed time you are told that your tyre is no longer available and then being offered a lesser quality replacement, together with a nominal refund.

My car is a bit old and I can’t really afford another one. I spoke to Ryan who was fantastic. He was honest with me and told me what needed to be done ASAP and what could wait till my next payday rather than tell me it all had to be done now and cost me a fortune. The work was done and finished at every visit I went to on time.Not sure who worked on the car but dealing with Ryan was professional and he made me feel better. Thank you for the excellent work and customer service.

Had tyres on the drive by Halfords.The balancing was completely out and the four wheel alignment has been redone by National tyres.Its now 10 times worse after paying another £80 for 4wheel alignment.Do not trust this firm as it is part of Halfords.Ive just paid my local tyre firm to have everything done properly and it’s now perfect.What a complete shambles National tyres and Halfords…Stay away!

Had excellent customers service from the team. Had a puncture and they got me in. Kept the car over the weekend and then Brett mechanic on the front desk kindly gave me a lift home as I didn’t have the car. Felt really looked after and Brett was lovely

I took my car to National Tyres, Bolton for a free tyre check as I believed I had two small punctures. They got me in within the hour, no hassle. Turns out the tyre valves were broken, and they replaced them free of charge! Such a lovely team of people and would definitely recommend

Went to the Blackburn branch at King St on Saturday 25th July. Had all 4 tyres replaced. Service was excellent , staff were very professional, friendly and polite.
Tyres were fitted in good time. Will be using again due to high level of service.

Staff were great, very customer requirement focused, not just to myself but could be witnessed with interactions with every other customer that came through whilst I was there and heard over the phone. Incredibly helpful. Will now be my go to garage for tyres. Helped us out with a specific booking request, incredibly helpful. Only thing I think is dumb is that as standard the prices in shop are significantly higher than when ordering online, should be the same, but the staff were able to sort us out with that too.

On a holiday trip my brakes started making grinding noises. Despite no prior booking the Liverpool branch of National Tyres were able to check the brakes that morning, and perform the repair same day - leaving my wife and I to do the sightseeing already planned, and still continue our evening journey on schedule. I cannot praise the staff highly enough.

🤮A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE 🤮

I had to pay for a slot, to replace my 2 front tire, and they let another cars go ahead of me.
The staff treated me with total disregard—the service was terrible.
And I also had to wait more than four hours for my car to be ready, a total disregard for the customer.

I will never get back to this place again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Had work done during extensive service which entailed the exhaust. After few malfunctions since that repair stent, I took the car to a Vauxhall garage only to find out the exhaust and all the subsequent repair were fitted wrongly causing oil and coolant leaks.

Called in Bishops Stortford Tyre centre Brendan was incredible , took my car straight in checked the tyre found the puncture advised it could not be fixed !
Removed the spare and changed the two over , re fixing the punctured wheel to the wheel carrier( Landrover defender)
Brilliant service , polite would reccomend this service !
