So I recently received the car
So I recently received the car I had purchased from hippo. I was told all tires would be checked and all wheels would be sorted on the vehicle. I have now received vehicle and the tread limit is below their 3 mm recommendation. One tire being at 2 mm and the other being at 2.2 mm. One of the alloys is quite scuffed and damaged which I was not told about when purchasing the vehicle.

4 stars for Hippo and 5 for their customer service rep Katie who battled with internal processes to make a bad thing good. Overall Hippo seems a good company with maybe a couple of people letting the sides down. Katie wasn’t one of them.

He showed me how everything worked on my car which is more than i can say about the first gentleman I saw. Poor Communication and No Follow-Up
Contacted Hippo despite seeing a dedicated Facebook group highlighting concerns about their customer service. I had some questions about a car I was interested in purchasing and requested a video of the vehicle.
Initially, a member of staff called me, answered some of my questions and advised that the car was still being prepared. I was told that a video would be sent once the preparation work had been completed.
A week has now passed and, despite following up, I have received no video, no update and no response. As a genuine potential customer looking to buy a vehicle, I find the lack of communication disappointing and unprofessional. First impressions matter, and unfortunately this experience has not inspired confidence in dealing with the company.
