Needed an odd sized Forstner bit and after a futile search of local stores an AI agent said TEGS had what I was looking for! Ordered and I had received the bit shortly thereafter. After browsing their website I'm sure I'll be ordering from them often. Oh, and even better is they are a family owned and run Canadian business!

Be careful dealing with this company
I bought a rechargeable clip on fan from Tegs tools on July 19. In the Manuel it says the fan can take up to 6 hours to charge. I had the fan plugged in for more than 15 hours and it still only had 1/2 of the charge. I called the store on July 24 to start the return process. This is where things went bad. I was told on the phone it would be easiest for everyone if I just emailed Josh at the Rymal rd store as he's in charge of online returns. I emailed Josh at 1030am on July 24, as it was early in the day I expected a response especially as they were expecting the email. I received a email back the following day from Josh which said he wasn't going to help me process the return as he was too busy and on holidays the following week so he stated in his email that I should call back Monday and deal with the owner. I wasn't ok with this response so I drove to the store from Burlington which took 40 minutes of my time not to mention the cost of gas as well. When I got to the store Josh processed the return in under 5 minutes. Josh also swore at me on the phone which im not going to tell you offended me, however it speaks of unprofessional this company is.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. As a small, local family business we strive to provide the best customer service and have done so for over 45 years.
When you called the store to request the return, our staff is directed to forward any return requests to Josh directly or follow our standard procedure as outlined in our return policy as follows: "If you wish to return an item purchased online, please log into your account and select "Return Item(s)" and you'll be able to request a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number. Once we receive and authorize the request, instructions on sending your item(s) back will be emailed to you. Your return can either be shipped* or dropped off at one of our locations in Hamilton."
This allows us to track requests and address them in a timely fashion. While Josh processes these requests, he also processes all our online requests which can cause delays in response times. Reponses are sent in the order they are received so it's not unsual for him to have not responded until the afternoon or Monday. He was heading off for a week vacation on the 24th end of day which is why he suggested reaching out me on Monday to expedite your request. I did speak to him already regarding the use of inappropriate langauge and of course he apoligizies for any offence taken.
I'm happy to hear you were able to get your refund for the item.

Excellent experience! I ordered the 20 gallon parts washer to use as a sink in my pottery studios. It's so perfect! I thought it was orange on the site but when I opened up the box, it was the most beautiful cherry red! Just fyi in case you really want orange or (like me) really didn't want orange lol.

Absolutely smooth sailing ordering online from Tegs in July, 2025.
I live kind of far from their stores, so I shopped online.
The service I received was excellent. I inquired about a product via email first and received a prompt, concise response that helped me choose the right model I needed.
Purchasing was smooth and they even followed my specific requests. This is a boutique shop with focus on the customer. I like it allot. I had my items in a day.
I highly recommend shopping at Tegs online. They have the service perfected and genuinely listen to customer feedback. I look forward to my next purchase from Tegs.

TEGS has real customer service.
Ordering online is as easy as 1-2-3 and the regular shipping is really quick.
TEGS is my version of a candy store, with lots of flavours to choose from.

The product was a good price
The product was a good price, the staff were courteous and organized. The delivery went smooth.
I haven't had the time to assemble or use the planer yet, as my house is being renovated and it may be until the end of summer before I have time.
The planer is going to be used to mill wood for house finishes.

My shopping experience was fantastic…
My shopping experience was fantastic from start to finish. The online store was easy to use and somehow I messed up and my order was set for pick up at one of their locations, but I don’t live in the area so I called them and within minutes they had fixed my order and was getting it ready for shipping, the shipping was free and fast. It arrived on my doorstep no signature required so I didn’t have to go to the post office because I missed the delivery and everything was there in good working order not to mention the price was phenomenal and the tools were on sale, hands-down the best shopping experience for tools online by far.
