Probably the best storage facility in Reading. Great service and fair price. Very clean and secure. Units were well maintained and I felt that my items were always safe. Various size units to choose from. Staff are always friendly and professional.

I had booked/reserved a unit, and agreed a time and day to move my things in and sign the contract etc. I was moving house from abroad back to the UK and so had hired a van and had very tight margins on my time.

However when I arrived at Magenta self storage the office was closed due to "unforeseen circumstances" and a sign advised me to call the main head office number or return the following day. Since I had just driven 1400km and had to return the van that evening, waiting until the following day was not an option. So I phoned the head office and was told they would put an urgent message through to the Oxford branch. 20 mins passed, and nothing, so I called again and got the same response. After 2 more calls it finally became clear that the head office had no idea that there was no one at all at the Oxford office and when I explained that I had to move in immediately I was told there was nothing they could do and to stop calling as they were not going to provide any solution.

No attempt was made by Magenta to actually get anyone to the Oxford office, and clearly the Oxford office staff had closed knowing they had people coming to move in that day, yet no attempt was made to contact us and warn us we would not be able to move in. No solutions were offered, and when I became frustrated at the situation I was told not to call again since they would not do anything to honour the move in time and date that they agreed to.

I therefore called a different self storage company who were extremely helpful and found me an alternative unit immediately, and cancelled my booking with Magenta.

Avoid Magenta at all costs.

I had to use the MAGENTA facility in St Albans for almost
5 years. During that lengthy period, since August 2021, I always found the Reception staffto be very helpful.
I would compliment RJ on his friendly manner and his
memory for customers' names!
The facility is always kept in a spotlessly clean condition.
Remember to pull, not push, the carts!

Setting up a storage unit with Magenta was very straightforward. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable — Shah and Maya provided me with all the information I needed to easily set up a storage space and contract. I would highly recommend Magenta to other students: its location and facilities are excellent.

Clean high quality facility with very helpful staff. Moving in was well coordinated and totally problem free. Kirstie was very helpful when it came to selecting the storage unit we needed.
The layout of the site is very user friendly - plenty of parking and easy access.

Thought I had found a solution to my storage problems with Magenta Storage in Banbury, but disappointed to find they do NOT offer 24 hour access - so remember to read full details of a contract when storing stuff! In all other respects the facility is very good, and I believe my items are safe and secure there.

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Magenta Storage and their support team. Specifically, Kirsty was extremely helpful and patient in answering all my questions, responding super quickly to all of my emails and helping me with any concerns & questions I had. She’s been absolutely amazing in guiding me through the process and has made something that is usually quite stressful into a very relaxed and seamless process!
The storage facility itself is super clean, all instructions for access are easy to follow & understand and I had absolutely no issues during the process. Would 100% go with Magenta Storage again, mainly thanks to Kirsty and her amazing support!

We have used a few storage units in the past and Magenta Storage in Reading has easily been the best. Nathan has been so accommodating and helpful and we cannot thank him enough. I have been using this firm since 2008 from time to time and the staff are always very helpful. I recently got an opportunity to buy an antique dresser at a bargain price but didn't immediately have room for it in my house so contacted RJ for help. He found a suitable available unit and told me that I was still in time for 3 months of half price storage in a Black Friday offer! So I went ahead and bought it and now have it in my house, all thanks to RJ's quick thinking. Must say that Basil was also involved in helping me. So a big thank you to St Albans Magenta.

This is my local storage unit. It is quite close to central Oxford so it is expensive. However, upon talking to Shah, Maya and Len they were happy to explain that Magenta price match Big Yellow and Storage King. They will also price match on storage insurance.
The team were always very friendly and helpful and happy to to take the time to discuss things and find a storage solution to my needs. Were there were a couple of issues (rivet missing on a lock bracket, and personal code for out of hours access) they dealt with the issues promptly and without me feeling like I had inconvenienced them. Overall I have been extremely happy with the service I have received.

Our experience with Magenta Banbury over the last few months has been extremely positive and we highly recommend them.

The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Moving is so stressful and they took the worry out of our storage problems and made the whole process so much easier.

Magenta is in a fantastic location by the M40 and the storage units are very reasonably priced, clean and very secure.

We had the use of loading/unloading bays with a choice of large and small trolleys and two good sized lifts.

During our stay we downsized our unit twice as we moved our things into our new home and this was done at a time to suit us. All the paperwork and refunds were taken care of by the wonderful staff.

A toilet on site is also a great asset :)

We actually miss popping into the office for a natter and seeing your cheerful smiles.

When Magenta opened in my home town, they were a breath of fresh air with good deals and a personal approach to their business. Sadly, management changes and above inflation increases have exposed Magenta as being little different to other storage companies.
Magenta are now just another storage company, no more or no less.

Amazing here Kirsty and the team are always incredible and if you’re lucky enough to be welcomed by bear then thats just a bonus!!

I’ve been a customer at this location since day one, and even six to eight months before that at the old site. The staff have always been good and professional, but over the past while I feel Magenta has reached its highest standard yet. Their customer service is second to none.
The manager, Lana, along with the two staff members Kirsty and Abdi — and of course the lovely mascot Bear (Kirsty’s gorgeous dog) — are simply the best team I’ve ever dealt with in any self-storage facility, and I’ve rented several units over the years.
Kirsty and Abdi who are onsite every day are always polite, professional and consistently go the extra mile to ensure customers are satisfied. Without a shadow of a doubt, they are a real asset to the company and I truly hope Magenta look after them because they are exceptional.
