Early Vudu went through issues of buffering and speed and trying to keep up and they finally got their issues straightened out. It worked excellent when Fandango took over then Fandango disassembled it and it has been a dog pile ever since I'm pulling at over 500 Mbps and yet they cannot feed me fast enough I was on this service for over decades now and this is the worst service I have seen

Really poor customer service. I got the membership but they froze my account and can't reverse it and won't refund what I paid. Do not use Fandango go threw the actual theater

Fandango has absolutely zero customer service. They will gladly take your money but will not do anything to make things right. They will tell they can't do anything to fix the issue. I would not recommend buying ticket through this company ever! I will never use their services again. Trusted companies take care of their customer issues, all Fandango does is take the money and run.

I bought two tickets for Spider Man through Fandango. When we got to the theater we found the theater itself was closed due to repairs being done. No mention of this was posted on their website. The movie began at 1:30, but I usually show 10 minutes after the stated start time because I don’t like sitting through 20 minutes of previews to future movies. I asked for a refund and Fandango said no refunds available since I requested the refund after the start time. I called them and wrote an email, but no one has contacted me. I will never purchase a ticket through their app again.

Bought June tickets as a Father's Day gift for my dad and family. In September, I noticed Fandango FanClub charges of 9.99 appearing on my credit card. I use my card for so many purchases (rewards!) and did not notice until September. I immediately tried to login to find yes, I am in a FanClub with a monthly 9.99 charge. After figuring out a login and cancelling, I went to the Customer Chat to request refunds since it was clear I hadn't logged in nor used any membership. Straight refusal to explain or consider context. Just a no based on "terms of agreement". >> I suspect I was distracted at check out (there were several family members "helping" at the time) and inadvertently ended up with the membership through my own failure to read the "fine print" or unclick a checkbox or something when I was just trying to checkout with one show of tickets. Shady UI is super frustrating. Lesson learned. I know how these sites can be. That said, I add this review to the many poor reviews about Fandango Club and recommend that everyone avoid it, look closely at the screens as you are checking out or better yet, buy direct from the theater and avoid Fandango altogether.

Terrible customer service!!!! I have purchased four hundred and fifty nine movies through Vudu/Fandango and never had a problem, and I have never had to call customer service. Recently however on 9/11/26, I purchased a movie through the fangango app on my phone (which I have done countless times before), but when I went to watch the movie, it wasn't there. I checked my bank account and the charge had cleared my account. I sent an email to fangango customer service. It is now seven days later and I still do not have my movie and I was still charged for the movie. I have provided customer service with screenshots showing that the charge came out of my bank account and that it was for fangango, but they told me that since I made the purchase through google pay, I had to contact Google Pay. What???? How is that my problem? If Google pay doesn't work on their platform, it shouldn't be an option for customers to use. And if it does work, which apparently it did in this case, because low and behold , the money came out of my account, Fandango expects the customer to do their job for them. I am extremely dissatisfied with the way this was handled.

Thought I was signing up for a free membership, but I guess it was a trial. They charged my card and would not give me a refund. Lesson learned customer service is horrible. I will make sure to use any company, but this company. What happened to good old customer service

Purchasing tickets is fine. But getting refunds for a movie that had problems was impossible. Booked for the 70 mm version of The Odessy shown at the Regency Theater in the Irvine Spectrum. Projector broke down and Regency offered refunds which they paid on the spot. We had to go through Fandango and nothing happened after two email requests. Plenty of money lost.

​I attempted to book tickets online for Practical Magic 2 at the Sierra Vista Mall theater in Clovis, CA for Sunday, Sept 13 at 8:00 PM and paid $53.50. Without my knowledge, Fandango’s website redirected my selection to a theater over two hours away in Folsom, CA.
​When I arrived at my local theater, I was told my tickets were invalid for that location and that Fandango would not issue a refund. I was forced to buy a second set of tickets on the spot for an additional $73.50. Instead of enjoying the movie, I spent the entire evening stressed about paying double for Fandango's system glitch. Customer support needs to fix this bug and refund my original $53.50 purchase immediately.

Plus - the selection of films and series

Big minus: The UI. It's terrible, buggy, full of errors (during payment, during playing) - you can't really play what you have bought - you have to search for it every time.
you can't just play the movie you bought from a list of bought films - that would be TOO easy.

also when you buy a film and play it even for a second, you can't play it again. that's it - buy a new one.

the website us slow, laggy and looks like something from 15 years ago.

constant errors: you buy a film, it shows an error, then you want to watch the film but you can't because you get the message that you already purchased it. so you have to refresh everything.

subtitles - only somewhere and only English
also - no other options, just ON or OFF

Honestly, I think the management doesn't care at all. They have a semi-functional website, the money flows so why bother.

Fandango, you are dangerously close to discovering what happens when you piss off a generation that grew up without streaming, survived dial-up internet, programmed VCRs without instructions, and has absolutely no patience left for an app that can’t perform its ONE JOB.

Your TV app is borderline unusable. It freezes, lags, takes forever to load, and turns what should be “let’s watch a movie” into an unwanted troubleshooting exercise at the end of an already exhausting day.

We are tired Gen Xers. We have jobs, kids, bills, aging parents, mysterious back pain, and approximately 47 different passwords to remember. We do not want to reboot the TV, unplug the router, clear caches, reinstall apps, sacrifice a goat, and consult the moon phase just to watch a movie we ALREADY PAID FOR.

If every other streaming app on the television works and yours doesn’t, the problem is not my internet. It is not my TV. It is you.

Please fix your app before an entire generation collectively decides physical media wasn’t such a bad idea after all. Vudu never had these issues.

I bought a $50 gift card from them. I go to use it. And they tell me the gift card is actually not activated and I need to jump through a bunch of customer service hoops to get it activated. The process takes three to five business days. Mind you, I have all the gift card info including PIN, the money was spent, the card was activated at the store, but Fandango never bothered to activate it on their side. It's very interesting that they were able to take my money immediately without a problem, but require me to wait a week or longer to actually use the card. I find this kind of behavior a bit suspicious, since I didn't know this was the case until I got to checkout. If youre like me and buy tickets the day of or day before the showing, this structure basically forces people to pay for a movie ticket out of pocket. Then, after you've spent money, they give you the money you were supposed to have all along. Very shady!

I went to the right theater when purchasing tickets. When I showed up the confirmation email said the tickets are for another theater. I text and called Fandango customer support, which was useless, and they stated that because they have a policy that says they can steal people's money, even though they have records of services not used, they don't have to refund ar credit you. Again, they stated that they clearly see the tickets were never used, but policy dictates thievery. People make mistakes. Several people on here have made the same mistake. It happens. But they have a policy that says they can take your money for services not rendered.

If I could rate less than 1 star I would. They deleted content from my account and would not help me restore this content despite talking to several different individuals and supervisors.

I would not and no longer trust my digital collection with them and this is a reason to have noDRM content and local stores as these companies do not care about you and will screw you over any change they get for seemingly no reason.

Terrible service, can’t make it through a show or movie without it freezing and buffering. Vudu was great until it was bought out by a horrible company. What a shame that such a great service is now trash!

They bought the rights to German soccer and I can't see it on my tv, so they told me my tv is incompatible with Fandango...SUCH BULLSHIT I HAVE NEVER HEARD BEFORE

Horrible horrible service. $33 for two tickets and they sent the confirmation link to a years old email that I don’t use anymore, resulting in my night being ruined. I thought at least I could get a refund they said they can’t give me a refund for some reason??? Horrible customer service, awful pricing, won’t be seeing another film if it’s with this horrible company. All I wanted to do was watch a movie and have some fun but this completely killed my night and subsequent week.

Got the deal for the summer pass, which was great the first month. Got a free theater ticket, $10 off on a fanstore purchase and a streaming credit. The pass is for 4 months, renewing on the same day each month. I am now into my second month and nothing has renewed. Contacted "customer service", which was a complete waste of time. Almost impossible to understand and did nothing! I am going to give my account 1 more day to update before requesting a pro-rated refund for the last 3 months.

I believe the Fandango fan club summer pass to be a scam. I have now contacted customer service three separate times and they have no idea what I am even talking about. I did however manage to use the promotional credits I received for signing up last month and the one of three promotional codes that I received this month to equal out the balance of what I paid for the pass in the beginning. Buyer beware on the summer pass, and I also highly suggest you use a credit card, not your bank card for individual streaming purchases with this company. The ability to stream newer movies at cheaper prices on Fandango I think is great. I've been doing it since it was vudu, without a hitch. I'd stay away from the fan club all together though.

Why is it every time it updates I have to figure out what device I must use to make a purchase. I wasted too much money on Vudu/Fandango for them to still not get the apps right.
