Very poor service. Wrong item was delivered refused to exchange. Took ages to arrange the pick up no refund yet to be received effectively. B&Q stole £100 from me.

Two points- B&Q regularly send £3 pounds off bar code voucher. For whatever reason the barcode disappears when I visit the store to be replaced with a string of digits. I have noticed the staff at the checkouts have refuced in number and the last time I visited and requested assistance to enter the discount code the assistant rudely dismissed my request saying there were too busy.

Easy delivery and they carried the panels a long way. Very helpful and polite. Good value simple panels. Looking great in place.

Easy ordering on line. Quick pick up allowed. Free parking. No problem at all ordering on line, which is how I purchased my last item from B & Q.

Found what we were looking for very easily. Shop experience very good. Not too sure about only having one cashier, the rest were self service. But staff helpful

Not good really, offered my B&Q card as was told to scan thd first product to proceed anx then scan my card at the end, at the end I said do I scan my B&Q card now and she said no " It's to late now sorry" rubbish really spend over £ 250

I bought some heavy things, which were fine. No issues when they finally arrived. It was the service I found baffling. I booked and paid for a delivery slot for a Sunday. The system lets you do this.
I got an email saying I would get another email the night before with my slot. I did, it was 9-11. I also got a text confirming the slot 9-11 and it said the driver would call when they were 20 mins away or if they got delayed. All sounded good.
I got up early Sunday and waited. Stayed in, my slot came and went. No call. At 1pm I called the number in the email and a man answered. He said that it was probably ‘just delayed’ because ‘it is a Sunday’. I asked if there was any was of knowing when it might come or if it would come. Sadly not because ‘it is a Sunday’.
At 2.30 my delivery arrived. The driver couldn’t explain why it was over 3 hours after the end of my slot, other than ‘it is a Sunday’.
I was very frustrated by this so emailed customer services who confirmed that yes, this had probably happened because ‘it was a Sunday’
So what I just cannot understand is why they offer Sunday deliveries.
So, by all means book a Sunday if you are happy to ignore the 2 emails and text that give you a fake delivery slot, and are happy to wait in all day just in case they manage to deliver ‘on a Sunday’

Well the young gentleman at Worcester was outstanding with his customer service!! He helped with new kitchen worktop, cut to exact measurement carried it to checkouts, processed payment and carried it out to my car. Being a wheelchair user this was over and above for me made the visit very easy.

I ordered two bags of multipurpose compost. Instead I got one bag of bulb fibre and one slit open bag of multipurpose compost that leaked all over my floor. I filed a complaint via the DIY.com website and got no response whatsoever. Very poor. It also arrived a day late.

Customer Service phone service…Dreadful.
I ordered some garden stuff for home delivery and missed the delivery date on the website . I assumed once I had paid it would direct me back to pick a date. As soon as I realised that had happened I spent 10 minutes frantically trying to find a way to change the delivery date.
It was my error (working on given delivery date) so I rang the customer service department. I took ages explaining to a very nice lady in South Africa my problem who apparently couldn’t do anything except the ring the store. She came back with ‘there is nothing we can do, the delivery is booked’. I had explained that I was working and she told me ‘I would have to get a neighbour to accept the delivery’.
1) My neighbours are not going to accept 11 big bags of bark
2) I ordered this 20 minutes ago and the delivery date is 3 days ahead and you are telling me that it is FIXED already.
She then proceeded to say ‘they couldn’t do anything and I would have to sort my work out.
REALLY B&Q …..I am a nurse do you honestly think I can just ring work and say ‘hey I have a bark delivery on Tuesday so I won’t be on shift’.
When I said no …this is your problem , I was told to remain calm. The supervisor was no better until I explained that I would happily accept any day , even in a month except Monday or Tuesdays when I am on shift. She said that was possible …yippee sorted.
Nope …I received an email later that day saying the delivery was now booked for a week later …guess what on a Tuesday! I had said ANY date EXCEPT Monday or Tuesday.
The quality of the phone call was poor : I am hearing impaired and use my iPhone as it connects to my hearing aids. Whilst the call centre may speak English , I found they struggle with some of our regional expressions and the content of conversation. Being told ‘you have to’ is not something that we would say ….it would be can you. Sounds ridiculous but when you have been going around the houses for 10 minutes constantly re explaining and then someone says that …annoying is an understatement.
B&Q get your act together. Saving money by having a cheap overseas call centre is letting your service down. If I had known I would have just gone into my local branch and changed the delivery slot myself. I changed my delivery slot was Asda last week on the morning of my delivery (well done Asda).
So the moral of my story …buy in store but don’t bother with home delivery as if there is a problem …you are unlikely to get help.

I ordered a BBQ from B&Q using points to buy vouchers from an incentive we have at work. The points can be used to buy vouchers for hundreds of companies but I selected B&Q as they had the product I wanted. They said delivery would be a few days but then I received a message to say it had been delayed, after four weeks I still hadn’t heard anything so I decided to call the company at no point did B&Q contact me. I was in informed the item was out of stock and no more stock would be arriving and a refund would be issued with the delivery charge and the gift vouchers which were now useless to me as there is nothing else I wish to purchase from B&Q. I contacted their support centre who offered no help at all and I requested a call from their management which also has not happened. The service offered by this company is zero and I will never shop with them again. The vouchers may as well be turn up as this joke of a company have no morals or desire to keep customers. B&Q even tried blaming DX Freight for their own incompetence so I called DX to be told the goods never arrived with them and blaming DX Freight was common practice.

The worst thing B&Q has ever done is allow third party sellers to offer items on their website, especially because a good majority of them won't send to Northern Ireland, which seems very unfair. If you can't sell to all of the UK then you shouldn't be allowed to sell on their website. It's also very confusing to tell what items are coming from B&Q and what items are being sold by these random sellers. I'm sure B&Q are making a lot of money from these people, but as a B&Q customer and a consumer, it makes me very hesitant to shop on their website and wary of what I'm actually looking at.
