I place an online order. I literally called them a few minutes later to cancel it. Because It didn’t say that if spent a certain amount the shipping would be free. I was told that a refund would be placed. Which it was a lie. They didn’t cancel it. I called them and they said that once processed they can’t cancel the order. I literaly place this order late. No way it was processed to ship that fast. I’m disappointed and frustrated! I don’t recommend purchasing online for shipping.

The shoes arrived in a shipping box roughly the size of a microwave, containing no padding whatsoever and one (1) unbranded carton, pre-torn for my convenience. Not a shoe box. A carton. The kind of thing you'd find behind a grocery store at 2 a.m. No original packaging, no paperwork, no documentation of any kind. Just shoes, rattling around in a void, like they'd been mailed by a stranger who wanted them out of his house.

I asked the chat agent about this. He explained there was probably a disclaimer at checkout noting that discounted items may not ship in their original box. Probably. Somewhere. He seemed as sure of it as I was. And apparently that disclaimer also quietly covers the paperwork, the authenticity documentation, and any indication at all that these came from the manufacturer rather than a warehouse floor.

So: $160 for a $300 shoe, delivered in packaging that would embarrass a Craigslist seller, and my proof of authenticity is a cardboard box someone already opened. Compelling.

The agent's grand resolution was to remind me that there's a 90-day return window. Which is true, and which is also not an answer — that's not customer service, that's a shrug with a policy number attached. No replacement offered. No explanation. No apparent awareness that "you can always send it back" is a strange thing to say when the complaint is that you can't tell what was sent.

The whole exchange had a distinct flavor to it: you got a bargain, so lower your expectations accordingly. Noted. They're going back — in the ripped carton, which seems appropriate.

Dicks are crooks and will not return or exchange anything..that’s why Amazon is booming and dicks will soon be out of business

Very disappointing customer service experience with D*CK’S Sporting Goods.

I placed an online order and entered the correct shipping address. However, during the payment process, the shipping address was somehow changed to an incorrect address. I contacted D*CK’S immediately after noticing the problem and tried multiple customer service channels to resolve it.

Unfortunately, every representative I contacted refused to change the shipping address, cancel the order, stop it, or place it on hold—even though I contacted them immediately and explained that the address was incorrect.

What was especially frustrating was that no department seemed willing or able to actually help. I was repeatedly told about the cancellation policy, but no one offered a practical solution to prevent the order from being shipped to the wrong address.

I understand that companies have policies, but customer service should also be about helping customers when something goes wrong, especially when the customer contacts you immediately and is simply asking to correct a shipping address.

I am extremely disappointed with how Sporting Goods handled this situation and expected much better customer support from such a large retailer.

About little than a month ago I purchased a bike at Dicks Sporting Goods 1587 Fruitville Pike Lancaster, PA 17601. Picked it up and went to ride it. The very first ride went straight for about ¼ of a mile and when turning to go the opposite direction the entire handle bar turned but not the wheel. This is about half hour after taking a brand new bike from the store, literally talking with the mechanic and him assuring me that everything was good to go, also a final inspection card signed by someone stating that specific unit(bicycle) had been inspected for safety was included with the paper work. I have all the paper work. The handle bar was completely loose from the stem I was explained after consulting a professional mechanic in one of the local shops in Lancaster. He was very amazed that someone would do that. The owner manual repletely emphasis that a professional mechanic should assemble the bike if one does not know or has been trained to do so. I shared this so the same thing don’t happen to someone else. Imagine if this would’ve been a child they don’t have the same touch or awareness as an adult. Please check them bikes before riding them specially if is a kid. Be safe everyone…… “Very poor and pathetic display of service and procedures from Dic Sporting Goods

I'm not sure why DSG (Trustpilot doesn't let me use the actual name lmao) has such a low rating on this platform. I've had nothing but great experience with this company throughout the years. Below are a couple examples.

- Had my local DSG restring my tennis racquet. They were closing when I came in so the person at the register just took my order in words, without writing me a ticket. When I came to pick it up, I saw that they also added an overgrip which I never asked for. I said that I didn't ask for it but that I didn't have the ticket and explained why. They just apologized and never charged me for the overgrip, and even threw in the other 2 overgrips that were in the 3-pack (since it was already opened).
- My feet are asymmetric in kind of a weird way and I'm also injury prone, so getting the right pair of soccer cleats isn't easy for me. I had to order quite a lot of pairs over the past month and at this point I've returned almost all of them. Shipping was free on all of the orders, and I was just able to return them at my local store with no issues at no additional charge. All the returns were super easy and smooth, with practically no questions asked.

Also, the customer support has always been responsive and helpful, especially compared to some of their competitors (*cough* worldsoccershop)

Should've checked the ratings before making a purchase. I ordered my gift right in time for his birthday on the weekend. 3:00 when package said was delivered, NEVER was. I personally was on the porch. Dicks REFUSED to do anything about the package. The driver also had no proof he delivered the package. Smh times to hard to take a lost. Smh

This company is messed up. I feel like I got terminated for no reason when in this situation I was in, this employee bullied and discriminated me. I didn’t do anything wrong & I kept trying to say something to them & they never listened to me. I just feel like it was favoritism here since they believed her over me when she was there longer than me.

Ordered a pair of Nike Recovery slides. D’s Sporting Goods sent me two different sized shoes. I live close to a store so I returned in store. When the return was processed I realized I had literally waisted a full $10 for shipping. I tried to contact D”s Sporting Goods customer service to give them a chance to make it right. Turns out D’s Sporting Goods activity discourages personal customer service. If you don’t have a basic issue that can be resolved by their automated system, you’re out of luck. Glad I got to see their brand new, state of the art store when I returned. Good to know they are so desperate to rip me off $10 that I will never see it again.

They boast a 90 day return policy but when you try to return the shoes after 10 days they won’t return them. How bad can it be. Why don’t they just say all sales are final

Purchased an item used online with a 20 dollar off code for over 100. Canceled the order and took the code. I tried to use it again and it did not work. Tried to email back said was not a box that was monitored tried to emailed customer service like it told me customer.service at dcsg.com and it said not monitored went to chat and he would not give me a code but said I had to place an order right now. Yea never buying from them again.

We went to Dicks to go back to school shopping, and Payton who was our cashier we was nice, and courteous! We had a wonderful time!

They sold me a Marcy stationary exercise bike. The foot handle snapped off on the first day. Despite this being an online order I need to return it in the store an hour away.

They've really committed to the store name, the most consistent branding I've ever seen. I asked for help, but the staff just kept walking, despite what seemed like my best attempts to get their attention. Either there was a communication mismatch, or they're simply staying true to the store's name.

I ordered these shoes for my daughter who is in the Army over a month ago and they still have not been delivered. I placed an order for the shoes they were in route but then I guess they decided to walk away. Literally!! So I contacted FedEx and they stated I had to contact D*ck’s for them to file a report. Which is crazy to me since I brought them. But anyway I contacted D*ck’s and they reshipped the shoes again. After waiting another two weeks for delivery this pair grew feet and has vanished. Reached out to FedEx again and they told me the same thing I had to reach out to D*ck’s. D*ck’s told me after the shoes leave from FedEx they go to USPS and then it could take up to 14 business days to be received. That is absolutely ridiculous. So first two weeks for USPS to get them then essentially another three weeks before they can be delivered. Meanwhile D*ck’s does not know where the hell the shoes are at this moment. My daughter is waiting to be deployed any minute and needed this particular shoe for her PT. This was my first experience with D*ck’s and more than likely the last. Would I recommend D*cks HELL TO THE NAW!!! I had to replace the I because the post was flagged.

I purchased a body board from Dicks August 2025 and after 3 uses the leash broke. I called Dicks for a replacement leash under warranty and was told NO, you used the board. Now one year later ( keep in mind that the board was not used from September to May because the ocean is too cold) and the board has come completely apart. I won't even bother to call Dicks because they are just going to tell me the same thing. So a warning, DO NOT BUY anything from Dicks because they have THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN AMERICA.

Today I went to Dicks in Mayslanding New Jersey to purchase a pair of Nike sneakers I went to use my disabled Veteran discount and was told we don’t take that here only on the Fourth of July and walked away even after I showed my discount code and Military ID. But me and my wife were there and the guy was nice and professional and applied my discount for a pair of New Balances through the ID me method. Today I was told we sell Nike but we are Dicks we don’t do that . They were Rude unprofessional and showed that they could care less!! The shoe department and the cashier. I felt disrespected and bad for all Veterans that shop there.
