A really well made and good value-for- money shoe, deserved of a fine four-star review and a royal warrant. Driving to the factory shop in Perry Street, Northampton and purchasing a near perfect shoe or boot for nearly half the retail price gives this brand unbeatable value-for-money. Customer service is knowledgable and attentive. We need this kind of service in our essential products and services in England, which have declined to a lamentable degree. I purchased the Tetbury dark brown calf chukka boots with the dainite sole, which for some reason is grippier than other dainite soles I have had from Trickers, Loake and Jones Bootmakers. Now I understand why so many Crockett models have this sole. A definite future customer as I have had purchased the Northcote and Tenby models, (now discontinued) with similar favourable impressions.

Beautiful pair of Tan, grain Islay derbys arrived today, 24 hours after I placed the order which is great. As for the boots themselves, a real work of art, love them and the craftmanship is exceptional. Nice to see we can still produce skilled, artisan work of this quality. Just brillaint, thanks guys. ...Saving for the next :-)

I walked in and certainly understand quality shoes. Crockett and Jones are certainly a highly ranked shoe and boot. Walking in, wearing Tricker's might have been the reason the service was so poor. 4 sales people and one other customer with his young son. That sales person...while serving the man and his son said hello. Spent another 6 ot 8 minutes making obvious looks at a number of boots, particularly the chukka boot, and not a customer service rep to acknowledge my presence. Was a simple decision. Great shoes, but I expect at $800 a pair to be acknowledged. Walked out and back across the street to the St Regis where we stay. Not the experience I had hoped. Hope Trickers opens a store here so when I visit with one of my 20 or so pairs I will be acknowledged...and buy another pair.

I bought a pair of Chelsea 8s and they were fantastic from day 1. No break in required. One thing I recommend if you are able is to visit one of their bricks and mortar locations and have them size you so you know you're choosing the optimal fit.

I have been a customer of C&J for 30 years, and have over 20 pair of their shoes, and ordered a new pair of chukka boots in my usual size online. They arrived today and are a narrower fit so rang up to arrange the return and order the next size up. ‘Customer Serivces’ on the phone were pretty jobsworth and no C&J cannot do exchanges and, no, there is no stock of next size up. Did she know or could she find out when they will be in stock - ‘no too difficult and I need to keep checking back to re order’.
Not what I have experienced before from what is supposed be a premium brand. Really disappointed as thought C&J would be better than that.

My recent visit to the Crockett and Jones Factory Shop was genuinely outstanding. I purchased a pair of waterproof Islay 2 boots, and the entire experience was exemplary from start to finish.
The staff were polite, attentive, and remarkably accommodating. After I phoned ahead to enquire about stock, they not only confirmed availability but also agreed to place the pair aside in advance of my visit. This small but thoughtful gesture ensured a seamless experience and demonstrated a level of customer care that is increasingly rare.
Upon arrival, the boots were ready for me, and the team took the time to answer questions and provide insight without any pressure. The combination of excellent craftsmanship and equally impressive service made the visit truly memorable.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Factory Shop to anyone seeking both high‑quality footwear and first‑class service.

I bought a pair of C and J boots from their Jermyn Street store last December and they were incredibly uncomfortable despite every effort to grease them and wear them in. The staff took them back to the factory and accepted that there was a problem and replaced them with a pair of my choice (snowdons).
I have currently 5 pairs of their shoes and boots in use and older pairs (they never wear out) for gardening.
Frankly I would say that their products are absolutely fantastic, that in view of their quality they are actually not expensive and in this case the after sales service dealing with a (justified) complaint was first class. I cannot recommend this company more highly.

Lovely shoes but overpriced and under the heel in my pair is really bumpy and uncomfortable. Will have to take to a third party cobbler to put a foam pad in. Go for Trickers or Cheaneys instead

Visited Crockett & Jones factory shop today (Thursday) , they are open most of the week from 10am (not only Friday/sat).. The young lady who served me was fabulous and the choices of shoes were incredible..
I’m very impressed with C&J, I will be back to spend again.

Bought a pair of shoes with shoe trees for over £700 for my wedding. When I got home I opened the box (having not checked it in store) and the pair I had been given had been scuffed and worn outside. Went back the store and was told that that I must have worn them outside. When I made it clear this had not happened I was told I was lying. Eventually they buffed the shoes up a bit to make them look better, but this did not soften the blow. An absolutely disgraceful way to treat a customer. I wasn’t even looking for a refund, just the new pair of shoes I had bought, not the scuffed and worn pair I was sent home with. And then called a liar. I will probably never get over this shameful episode.

Well worth the trip from Birmingham today. Staff were awesome with a brilliant sense of humour as my friend tried on his ‘James Bond’ shoes. Please pass on feedback to Kate and Sarah! Thank you

Bought a pair of boots in the Jermyn street branch. Have been eyeing to buy from this brand for years and finally plucked up the courage to invest. My friend has been recommending to me to buy for years as she still owns her pairs from 20 years ago in perfect condition! I had tried the shoes before from someone and always thought they might be uncomfortable. It turns out I tried a wrong size and you definitely need to go to the store to choose a pair that fits your feet! I would not recommend buying online without trying first as I would have chosen a totally wrong size online. I can confidently say that my feet don't want to be in any other shoes than Crockett and Jones. Totally recommend this brand and it is a great investment. Alex from the 92 Jermyn Street branch was superb.

I ordered from them 2 belts and one wallet made from Shell Cordovan, supposedly the most expensive, prized, beautiful and toughest leather. I don't even have my order for a month and my wallet already has many signs of wear and even one deep scratch, even though i always tried to protect and not to put it in a pocket alongside anything sharp or pointy. I tested the belts as well and they too are that fragile. And absolutely no response from them when i expressed my issues and disappointment with their products. I'm really shocked and disappointed at the quality of this famed Shell Cordovan and very angered that i paid that much money for such inferior products. Suffice it to say, i will never again even spare a single thought on this overhyped company.

Spent almost $1,000 on the Albany 4 Black Calf and after wearing for just an hour, my feet were in pain. They fit horribly and when I tried to exchange for a new size, they said they could not and rejected my return as well. Don't waste your money. You can get a way more comfortable shoe for hundreds of dollars less.

Louis at Royal exchange branch has done the most wonderful job of fixing a terrible scuff to the leather (my fault) can't believe how he managed to bring it back to perfect condition. Wonderful team at REX would highly recommend for a first class service.

C&J in Jermyn street. Is a great store with lovely chilled out & knowledgeable staff that let your browse and help when required. Bismarck is an artist who can transform a pair of C&J shoes into any colour &/or patina. A shop both for the flush & the average Joe saving up. Everyone is welcome to their own journey to buying a super pair of transformative shoes.

Footwear of the most exceptional quality and fit. I feel like Cinderfella!

The size guide of their shoes is completely off. The only way they help you with the size is by measuring your feet... great if it would work, because according to their size chart guide, I should be a 11.5 and they are HUGE! Thus, I have to pay another 30€ to have them returned and try luck with another pair. The quality of the shoes is amazing, but I would expect way more from a company such a theirs where you pay 660€ for a pair of boots. All in all, great quality of he shoes, SUPER BAD company policies.
