I've avoided 1stDibs for the last five years due to getting defrauded. Several pieces I purchased were legitimate. But I was defrauded by a few 1st Dibs sellers. I reported two fraudulent transactions to 1stDibs. These were sellers who provided airbrushed photos of damaged furniture. 1stDibs did a sham "investigation" that took the seller's comments at face value. 1stDibs denied responsibility, blamed me, and didn't provide me with any assistance. To return one of the damaged items, I got charged high restocking and return shipping fees. I no longer have anything to do with 1stDibs.

item took over 2.5 moths to receive after purchase. first dibs offers a guarantee however item has arrived not only super super late but the color of the piece is different than photographed and there are several issues on the surface of it that did not show in photographs, as well as several new scratches and gashes o the piece. so far first dibs has done nothing to resolve this however i had begun a credit card dispute to solve the issue since the item simply took so long to recieve. now i will have to fight first dibs on the item being different than described and arriving damaged. what a headache . slow to no customer service, and i'm highly dissatisfied with the whole experience and any effort on first dibs part to make it right.

Website things "bob" around a lot, the upper banner keeps dropping down, blocking the thing you're looking at. ALSO visually cluttered. Confusing. make it easier on the eyes. Less stuff popping out.

1stDIBS.com I bought a Tiffany & Co Earrings 1837 T & CO hoop sterling silver 925. But when I cleaned them the silver rubbed off. I contacted them via their messaging on their website. An investigation was done. Received an email with two things 1) It is passed the 7 day window so no refund will be given. 🙄 2) I have to require a direct, written verification or assessment from Tiffany & Co on their letter head. 🙄
1stDIBS got those earrings from VOX MARKET and it was claimed on the website "authenticated" Or I am out of luck with a defected pair of Tiffany & Co.?

Not worth it for sellers. Every sale is a negotiation, and adding products is a chore - crude, primitive interface that doesn't support teams or SKU file uploads. No automation.

We lost thousands of dollars on our relationship with 1stDibs and they wouldn't let us out of our contract when it became evident to us that it was a bad fit. I can't imagine ever dealing with them again.

1st Dibs did nothing to support the buyer when the seller never provided the purchased item. Now I am dealing with FRAUD. Great work 1st Dibs....

UPDATE: Paid $304 for delivery and the item finally arrived 19 days past the communicated delivery date. The item was supposed to arrive Sept 27th. I began to reach out to the seller on Oct 6th with no follow up from the sellers as to why the package was late. The item finally arrived on Oct 15th.

While trying to reach out to 1st Dibs ON SEVERAL occasions with a case number; I finally got a message from a supervisor taking the side of the seller but never inquiring the buyers experience in the purchase.

Bought an expensive piece of furniture on 1stDibs and would never do it again. The seller was extremely communicative, but the customer service and experience from the 1stDibs side was horrendous. Several customer service reps kept assuring me my piece had shipped, yet the tracking information never updated. After weeks of back and forth trying to figure out the status, I finally reached out to the seller directly, who confirmed he was still waiting for the shipper to pick it up and would try to nudge 1stDibs.

The 1stDibs agents don’t seem to have full visibility to order information and could not answer basic questions, like why I had two of the same charge on my credit card. They also make it impossible to contact someone real time via chat / phone, and any response takes 24 hours+ from their side, so issue resolution takes forever. Just Google the customer service number as you will never find it published on their site.

I would expect much more from a marketplace trying to serve the luxury market.
