Beware! Taken my money £1500 and not provided the service. The Midflesbrough clinic has closed and they pretended it was open, they booked me in for 2 diff appointments to arrive and its not open. They keep saying it will open again but it has been 3 months. No one calls, I have raised a formal complaint and still no response. Be wary, legal action is my next step.

I strongly recommend the SK:N clinic in Middlesborough. Over the past five years, I've undergone laser hair treatments and I'm extremely satisfied with the results—there's very little hair left, and I only need to go in for occasional touch-ups. I always feel welcomed and comfortable during my sessions. My husband has also become a client, and his results are outstanding.

Been going to the Middlesborough clinic for years for laser. The girls there are so friendly and make the experience seem less. Most importantly my hairs have become less and less over the years and I’m just on maintenance now.

I had my session with Chelsea, she is very professional, her 10 years of experience shines through.
She made me feel at ease, comfortable, and was very thorough with my laser hair removal session.
Looking forward to seeing her for my next session! Lovely lady😊

I visited the skin clinic at James Cook university hospital. Fir my consultation and minor procedure
The consultation was excellent, very informative and relaxed. The doctor put me at ease which helped me decide to go ahead with my procedure. I was very nervous before and during the procedure, having said this the doctor and nurse helped me stay calm and talked me through it. Which was about 1/2hr in total. If you have any doubts I would thoroughly recommend the skin clinic

Katie is absolutely fab, she always makes me feel super comfortable and is very friendly. Having evening appointments has made the whole process stress free and I am seeing impressive results after only 4 sessions.

I had a brief, but highly informative and game changing consultation at sk:n.
I was able to get a diagnosis for a really troublesome skin condition and a treatment plan which so far is working really well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I am so pleased I decided to go there.

The Middlesbrough skin clinic was amazing for my daughter.
After only one visit seeing her consultant her face cleared. I would highly recommend using them in the future.

I have been having laser hair removal at the clinic with Katie, she is absolutely fab and so lovely!
I have noticed a huge reduction in hair growth since having it and I’m only 2 sessions in!

I have almost finished 8 sessions of laser hair reduction, on beard/neck area as part of gender transition. The sessions seemed quick each time and staff were friendly

The power increase combined with hormone therapy thinning my skin, made the sessions become painful, to the extent i felt brain fog and couldn't walk straight afterwards. Because i am autistic i didn't realise i could request to have the power lowered. And I felt a bit of pushback about my request and had to be firm, although it was respected after i requested it

I think patients should be made aware they can ask for a lower power, so pain is not unbearable or traumatic. Being informed it just might slightly reduce effectiveness. Another clinic actively keeps power lower for patients on hormone therapy affecting skin sensitivity which seems a kinder approach

I also think recommending patients exfoliate the area before shaving before the appointment, may further help results

I have attended the SK:N clinic at The James Cook University Hospital for several years and have always been extremely happy with the care and treatment I have received from Dr Seukeran, and with the results.
Chelsie and the team are friendly, helpful and professional, and the service I receive is second to none.
I would definitely recommend SK:N.

The clinic itself comfortable and impeccably clean. The treatment rooms are perfectly suited for the treatments. Chelsie is always friendly and chatty and very approachable. Katie the therapist is excellent. She is always in appropriate attire for medical interventions and washes her hands and uses PPE whilst administering treatments. Katie is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the procedures and the aftercare and is very easy to talk to so it's comfortable asking questions. I have a regular appointment and each time I visit Katie and Chelsie make sure I get the day and time slot that I prefer. I think the service is excellent. The cost of services at Skin is a little more than other places but you get what you pay for and I for one want the very best when it comes to my skin so am happy to pay that little bit extra for the peace of mind it brings.

Absolutely fantastic service from both Chelsie and Katie, the girls are so welcoming and friendly. So glad you have opened again after shutting , was gutted but now back to getting my treatment again. Rang the other day for last minute appointment and was put straight in for treatment next day. Thanks girls you are both a pleasure xx

I went to the clinic at Middlesbrough after been told that my rosacea could only be treated by laser by an NHS dermatologist. Filled in the form prior to appointment in relation to current medications etc. Appointment was on time. Consultation lasted around 4 minutes at a cost of £185. Dr asked about current medication despite me already giving them this information. Two minutes into the consultation I was asked if I wanted to pay a further £50 for a skin patch test. The doctor didn’t discuss anything to do with rosacea with me, nor did they discuss anything in relation to the procedure other than my face will be bruised and swollen afterwards. I was taken by the doctor to the reception desk to book treatment and was initially told it would be around £750 but then the Dr corrected herself and informed me it would be more in the region of £1000 as it would need to be a Dr rather than a nurse who completed the procedure, the Dr didn’t explain why. No discussion in relation to results or how long they last. In all honestly I was very skeptical getting told to go private by a NHS Dr who knows the Dr at the clinic who runs the treatment. My appointment started at 1500hrs and I was back at my car at 1511hrs, £185 out of pocket and with no real understanding about what to expect from the treatment. The reception staff were very pleasant. I literally had to ask the doctor as she walked off if the procedure would actually work. I’m really disappointed as this is the first time I’ve ever had any experience of private healthcare and wasn’t even given any information to take away to consider in relation to the pros / cons, side effects etc. I’m really not sure about having my treatment here following consultation.
