As a buyer, I'm looking for three things: transparency, quality support, and peace of mind. If you're looking to purchase a vehicle you'll actually be excited to drive, then Vroomo is the right place to look.
if you don't feel comfortable shopping online, then buying a car on vroomo is probably not your best option. You should just head on over to your local dealer and waste a couple of hours just to check out a car / fill out paperwork. However, this is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Imagine going from clicking "BUY" to waiting by your garden and watching your new shiny car arrive
Before I go into details, here are the straight facts with my purchase:
- Car purchased: 2014 Audi A6 (12,400 miles)
- Date car reserved: 30/11//2015
- vroomo applied for financing for me so I waited briefly to hear back.
- Final purchase & delivery date: 4/12/2015
1) Transparency
I've read complaints about how it's not possible to find cars under a certain price point on vroomo but that's because they have strict standards regarding the condition of vehicles they accept and also enforce a limit on the year and mileage. For me, I'm not looking for a 10 year vehicle with 100k+ mileage because that's what I was already driving!
On the site, they list out every single dimple the vehicle may have and also list out the specific features the car comes with. I've looked through hundreds of dealership postings and was still confused about what the car comes with. Each vehicle posting on vroomo has more pictures than I can ever have hoped for and includes an extensive list of car specifics vroomo checked for and certified.
In short, everything you see and read on the vehicle page is exactly what you're going to get.
2) Friendly & fast support
When I was initially checking out the service, I sent a quick email to support and 5 minutes later I got a friendly response ( it's a real response and not a rep responding with macros). A few days later, I'm on the site browsing through cars and decided to do live chat to ask a quick question -- same rep and she remembers me! I hope vroomo is paying their team well because my rep, Michelle, was still responding to my emails at 10/11 pm and over the weekends.
3) Peace of mind
If you've gotten this far into my review, I'll tell you a secret: you don't get to touch or see the car in person until you got the car. Sucks right? The good news is that vroomo has a 7-day money back guarantee (as long as you don't go over 350 miles) -- sure, it's annoying to have gone through the the payment process or financing to find that you don't like the car, but at least you can return it with no penalties or restocking fee. AND, this is my favourite part, vroomo handles all the paperwork
