Gocycle G4i keineausreichende Wartung

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

auf der Suche nach einem Falt E-Bike sind wir per Zufall am 6. September 2024 im Ge-schäft e-motion Bremen Arsterdamm 94 a gewesen.
Dort haben wir das Rad Gocycle G4i entdeckt. Wir waren begeistert und haben zwei von den Rädern bestellt.
Am 12. September 2024 wurden uns die Räder übergeben. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt war der Verkäufer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Eine gute Woche nach Übergabe waren wir dann wieder in dem Fahrradgeschäft. Diesmal hatten wir eine Mängelliste dabei. Wir meinen, dass die Liste absolut überschaubar ist. Im Wesentlichen geht es um eine knackende Kette, ein Spaltmaß, den An-Ausschalter und die GocycleConnect app, die sowohl ein Thema mit dem Kontakt zum Fahrrad hat als auch fal-sche Kilometerangaben bei den Touren aufweist.
Nun wurde der Ton schon deutlich schärfer. Zwar wird uns versichert, die Reklamation zü-gig zu bearbeiten und wir würden in Kürze erfahren wie es weiter geht. Aber
dies geschah nicht. Nach mehreren Bitten unsererseits und erneuter persönlicher Vorspra-che erhielten wir dann einen Termin zunächst mal für die Reparatur der Kette am 10. Okto-ber 2024, den wir auch wahrnahmen.
Bei der Abholung der Räder am 11. Oktober 2024 wurde gesagt, dass das Knacken nicht beseitigt wurde. An dem Knacken der Kette seien ausschließlich wir schuld. Da es sich bei der verbauten Schaltung um eine einfache, primitive Schaltung halte, müsse man beim fah-ren sehr vorsichtig mit der Kettenspannung umgehen, da sonst ein knackfreies Schalten nicht möglich sei. Unser Einwand, es handele sich um eine automatische Schaltung, wurde ignoriert.
Am Mittwoch, den 23. Oktober 2024 waren wir wieder im e-motion Bremen Arsterdamm um zu versuchen, die Wogen zu glätten und zu einer einvernehmlichen Lösung zu kommen. Aber leider gingen die Beschimpfungen sofort wieder los, sodass wir uns bedrängt fühlten und das Geschäft verließen.
Wir wollen sehr gerne die Räder behalten, da sie wunderbar sind und es wirklich viel Spaß macht damit zu fahren.
Unsere Frage ist nun, wo wir eine technische Betreuung erhalten können und wo wir die er-forderliche Wartung ausführen lassen können. Wenn es in Bremen nicht geht, sind wir auch in der Lage zu einem anderen Standort zu fahren.

Basic spare parts disgracefully overpriced

Bike is really good quality, clearly well designed but Gocycle charges £800 for a replacement battery and 158 £ for a new charger. Greedy inflated prices they don't tell you when you buy the bike.

the bike is really nice to ride

the bike is really nice to ride. i like the looks and style of it as well. however, i’ve bought an EX DEMO gocycle g4 and it appears to be still registered to its previous owner so i am unable to register it. Therefore i am unable to use the app. i’ve put in three inquiries for support but have not heard a response. i’ve put in this ticket number 257255 on Friday, November 20, 2024, this ticket number 257273 on Saturday, November 21, and this ticket number on Monday, November 22, 2024 but have heard nothing. i would like to be able to use the full functionality of the e-bike.

Emily has been super helpful and efficient always responding quickly to my emails and doing her utmost to resolve my issues relating to my G4i motor and more recently to a spare part for my battery. Can't praise her highly enough. I wish she worked for me.

Problème de fiabilité et mauvais support

Après mon problème de 2022 (coupure aléatoires) Ciclissimo à Gland (Switzerland) m’avait finalement donné un nouveau vélo au bout de plusieurs mois. Depuis, je l’utilise tous les jours (soit 2 pliages et dépliages par jour) pour faire 12 km. Fin août 2024, j’ai de nouveau des coupures mais cette fois ce n’est pas aléatoire. Dès que je tourne le guidon à gauche le vélo s’éteint. J’ai du mal à croire à la loi des séries et je pense qu’il y a un défaut de conception du faisceau électrique. Depuis environ un mois, gocycle demande à Ciclissimo de faire des tests. 1 à la fois avec 4 jours d’attente entre chaque test ! Le support de gocycle est extrêmement lent et mal organisé. Il faudrait donner une check list complète comme le fait Stromer. En plus certains tests demandés n’ont aucun rapport avec la panne. Il suffit de toucher le faisceau électrique pour constater que le vélo se coupe. Ce n’est pas un problème de software. Ciclissimo ne veut pas envoyer le vélo chez gocycle car entre le carton spécial à payer et le coût du transport cela fait cher et ils me disent que gocycle ne prend pas en charge les coûts. Le vélo est vraiment très agréable mais entre la fiabilité et la qualité du support, je regrette cet achat de plus de chf 4000. D’ailleurs Ciclissimo n’est plus revendeur de gocycle. Le nombre de vélo au SAV était très supérieur au nombre de vélo vendus. Numéro de cadre de mon vélo 917066

Bad controller and connectivity tech The bike from a design and build…

The bike from a design and build quality perspective is good, however the application, the controller and the online support is rubbish. For starters i can not comprehend why in order to change modes on the bike you need to be the register owner and trying with any other device it doesn't work... what is the logic behind that.. also what is the readon behind the 9kph in order to get the motor assist. Even with the button pressed. If it is uphill with gearing it has it is almost impossible to get the motor on. The app crashes all the time and now the bike is locked on eco mode which too weak for anything.
Also the the controller needs a reboot because the motor starts and stops on its own but it is impossible to find instructions online on how to perform it. The only thing I could find is an instruction saying to unplug the controller from the battery pack from underneath the bike, but for the gx there is nothing to unplug there.

I knew I was doing wrong but I dont regret it

purchased G4 three days ago and I knew I was doing wrong and gonna regret it by proceeding with the purchase when, after two and a half hours of trying the Techs. in the bike store still remained frustrated by no connection between the bike a
nd the app.

Now After two days of using the app it refuses to permit me signing in and wants me to set up another account.
I Have email support twice and still await a response.
FOLLOW UP
My problem has been resolved today the cause was my old phone font size set to zoom (so that I can see it) causing the app data to malfunction and code to bunch up on the page.

All settled I am delighted with the bike and the after sales service thank you Tom and Gocycle

Gocycle - good bikes but abysmal technology

UPDATE
Since writing my review I have received a long and helpful phone call from Gocycle's Head of Customer Support. He was frank about the problems with the new app, of which there appear to be a huge number. He told me, honestly. that he cannot say when will be able to connect but hopes that it will be by the end of the summer. In the meantime we are using the DS Speedometer and Odometer app which is free and provides current speed, average speed and distance travelled abd requires no data connection. It does not tell us how much battery we have left, however!

I am sure that the Gocycle people are trying very hard to resolve all the problems. However, the old app was really good, easy to connect and worked well. This is the perfect example of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', a lesson technology folk are often very reluctant to learn!

ORIGINAL REVIEW
Gocycle make great bikes. I have 4 of them. However, this years they have launched a new app and it is a disaster. We have tried it on 5 android phones. Occasionally we can connect but far more often not. When we do connect we can see how awful the new dashboard is compared to the old one! Frequently, on all 5 phones the app froze or the Connect button was dead. Gocycle tried to convince me that our problem is unique but you only have to read the reviews on the Play Store app to know that this is miles from the truth. Their customer support is hopeless. They may just be overwhelmed with complaints. At the end of the summer we are going to get rid of our bikes. We will probably take a big loss but I can't stand dealing with a company that carses so little about its customers.

Improve the app has been our top priority over the last few months and we have carried out a number of improvements and fixes and our latest update (9.41) also included a return of the Live Dash feature.

Our records indicate you have been dealing directly with our App Software Engineer and have been contacted by our Head of Customer Support to discuss the matter personally. We understand connectivity issues can be extremely frustrating but rest assured we remain committed to ironing out all the issues over the coming weeks and months and look forward to delivering the app experience we intended in the near future.

The worst experience

The worst experience. Do not by from them . They are scammers. You are asking about the gram of my bike G4 which I can’t drive after folding hem out and everything is making noise and collapsing. The frame number is 925885. I sent you houndreds of emails and massages. No respond. Do u think you are going away believe me . I promised to bring you to the court. If that wil cost me a fortune. I copied every review and that you are delivering bad product.
I will go after you. Are you not aware about your bad service. We should close this company before they scams other people in Europe.
I’ll come in action next week and will contact the people who have been scammed also.
As respond to your respond. The gearbox is not working and I don’t fabricate anything, why should I do If you have delivers a good product. My review is not the only bad review, all of them are negative. Therefore don’t hide behind responds with out action. If you are so clear about case you can refer to reparation or your dealer to check. You are scammer. If you want to solve, solve it practically not sending responds.

App verbindet sich nicht mit Bike…

Ich kann mich seit dem Update der Connect App nicht mehr verbinden. Gerade am Wochenende möchte ich gern unterwegs sein, stattdessen klappt die Verbindung mit meinem G4 Bike nicht. Support gibt vorgefertigte Links an, die nicht hilfreich sind. Das empfinde ich nicht akzeptabel.

Auftragsrad - klasse Beratung und dazu den besten Kaffee von Berlin

Ich suchte ein Rad, dass in den Kofferaum von meinem Tesla Model 3 passt, da ich keine Anhängerkupplung habe. Tom von Auftragsrad hat mich dabei toll beraten und ich habe mich für das Gocycle 4i entschieden. Es ist schnell zusammenfaltbar und leicht vom Gewicht, so dass ich es ohne Probleme in mein Auto bekomme. Tom hat sich alle Mühe gegeben, dass Rad schnell zu beschaffen und auch vom Service fühle ich mich dort gut aufgehoben. Von mir eine klare Empfehlung.

Schlechter Support Gocycle

Hallo, habe das Gocycle G4, welches ich eigentlich wirklich sehr schön und technisch super finde. ABER es kann nicht sein das bereits nach 120km kein Druck mehr auf den Bremsen ist. Der Verkäufer, der auch gleichzeitig die Werkstatt dafür hat, meinte das dieses Problem sehr sehr häufig vorkommt bei Gocycle. Fast schlimmer ist dann noch das die Werkstatt einen sehr sehr schlechten Support von England aus hat was letztlich nur Ärgerlich für Verkäufer, Werkstatt und Kunden ist. Kann echt nicht sein bei so teuren Rädern im Reparaturfall eine Reparatur min. 1 Monat dauert. Gocycle sollte sich für so ein schlechten Support Schämen. Ich würde Gocycle aus diesem Grund auch nicht weiter empfehlen.!!!!!!

Super Service. Wo gibt es das heute noch! Ich hatte wegen eines Problems mit meinem Gocycle GX diese Woche mit Tom Classen von Auftragsrad und mit Matthias Ritter von Gocycle Kontakt. Mein Problem haben Sie bestens gelöst, obwohl ich das Rad nicht einmal bei Ihnen gekauft hatte. Das ist sicher nicht selbstverständlich. Und das auch noch mit einem sehr netten und freundlichen Umgang. Ich kann nur sagen TOP, weiter so.

Excellent support

I've got a 4-year-old GX that has been fantastic, it recently developed a charging fault however, but I am pleased to say that Gocycle did everything they could to help me sort it - probably going above and beyond, but I am extremely happy with the levels of after sales support I had, and they have more than earned this 5-star review. A special shout out to Emily in their support team too. Thank you very much indeed.

Durch Ihr Software-Update

Durch Ihr Software-Update, ist die Anwendung für mich nicht mehr nutzbar. Das erneute Verbinden des Gocycle G4 hat nicht mehr funktioniert. Es ist unnötig kompliziert und unprofessionel programmiert. Ich fahre seit 3 Monaten nur in einem Geschwindigkeitslevel und die Unterstützung von meinem Verkaufsgeschäft war auch unbefriedigend.
