Paid for a bulky waste collection over two weeks ago, they were supposed to pick it up on 11th July. Today is the 4th of august it’s still on my front garden . Made several phone calls , but to no avail . Day light robbery . Why offer this service if they can’t deliver
UPDATE They still have not collected my rubbish, have now made a formal complaint it’s now 4th of august

Paid £200 Council tax on 9th January. After loads of phone calls and Copy of receipt sent to them still nothing. It's now 24th July and still not allocated to my account. Absolutely disgusting

Customer service is appalling your handler was shouting down the phone to me simply because I had difficulty understanding. Not everyone understands things quickly some of us do have learning difficulties.

Birmingham Council we pay thousands of pounds but the streets of birminngham is dirty and smells roads are full rubbish pavement people are dumping rubbish no fines ..back in the old days roads were more cleaner it's like India Slums come to Mostyn road Stafford road flithy nasty is the same everywhere. If ask the public to take photos videos of people dumping rubbish and fine the people the streets would be more cleaner people dustbins on streets to stop someone parking outside there house leaving bins outside property too all week on my street 21 Mostyn road b21 9dz needs to be £1000 fine I'm partly sighted I'm being complaining to Council nothing getting done so you can't rely on birminngham city council keep paying money ...

Sandwell council this about a bus ticket was issued to me I didn’t receive the first ticket which was £30 then the fine went up to £90 to get them off my back I was silly and agreed so I pay payments which totalled to £50 sadly they wanted £90my mom
Was unwell and sadly passed away so my head was all over the place Sandwell council have passed this on to a bailiff My dads house received an extremely threatening letter and in over the phone phone threatening removal of goods how awful if the Sandwell not reminding no correspondence I have now had to contact the courts for an out of time form to appeal honestly don’t these bus lane fines cause enough people in uk problems how greedy of them £50 was enough money for them! The bus lane was hardly visible absolutely disgusting! My father is 84 years old and does not need bailiffs on his door! I don’t blame them I blame the Sandwell council there rude on the phone there constantly on the phone engaged you can never get through after an hour of trying I finally did and they advised me to ring the courts! Sandwell council you’re rude greedy and you should be ashamed allowing people to be bullied over a bus lane ticket! Seriously i hope this is resolved asap I have spoken to the baliffs it has been put on hold for week I just can not believe it greed and no organisation they don’t care my poor dad I don’t live at the address just my Mail

You have to pay to enter Birmingham in your car
If you go back into Birmingham the next day you have to pay again.
Then the roadworks are absolutely ridiculous if you don't know your way around Birmingham you go around in circles four times.Then to add insult to injury you get fined for apparently being in a bus lane when it's clearly a bus lane to the right of you and your in the opposite lane....
Stick Birmingham city centre where the sun doesn't shine I won't ever be back.

Received a clean air charge even know we turned off before the clean air zone which was advised on a council sign.
We've got dash cam footage of this but they have a camera on top of the turn off? Useless.

Appalling. They cancel your direct debits and accuse you of not paying. Then claim you haven’t paid for previous years.

They hide parking zone restrictions far away on tiny signs.

Totally corrupt, untrustworthy and held to account by no one.

I made an application in Dec 2022 for a discretionary housing benefit payment. In Feb 2023 I was awarded a small amount of assistance. The payment was never sent to my landlord, this is 5 months later and after contacting them many times, I was notified that they had made an error and that the payment will be sent after the end of June. I have been given other dates previously and the dates pass and the payments are never sent. I suspect some sort of fraud is occurring internally at Birmingham city council that needs to be investigated. If payments are being issued to people and never sent followed by excuse after excuse something is very wrong!

I live in Leeds I have never been to Birmingham before and now I have been taken to court over clean air zone. Their cameras must be bad as if u look in the picture they sent me it’s a different car and it gets even worse not my number plate the last digit is wrong not even same colour I’m going to start a counter claim and sue them for stress

As I don't live in or around Birmingham I had no idea there was a Clean Air Zone charge. We were just visiting for an event and stayed overnight, but now we've received 2 Penalty Charge Notices for £120 each for being 'within the zone'.

Driving into Birmingham concentrating on sat nav and lane changes, we didn't notice any signs but, assuming there are some, they certainly aren't very clear.

What is interesting is that Birmingham City Council obviously have your details to send you the fine, but don't contact you with a reminder to give you chance to make the payment within the 6 days you are allowed, as stated on the PCN. That strongly suggests they aren't as worried about the clean air, but how much money they can fleace from unsuspecting motorists.

So, now we know that there is a clean air zone in Birmingham, and next time we go we will need to pay it, but obviously we will try and avoid going to Birmingham if at all possible in the future as it is clearly run by a council that doesn't really want people to visit.

Thanks Birmingham City Council, you're setting a great example.

The council has a terrible/horrific approach to clean air zone fines. We have been fined over £2000 today from a debt collection agency which needs to be paid in a few days. This was the first we heard about any problem or charge! What if we were not in, we could find people at our door taking our stuff without any idea. There has been NO other contact from the council across 2 years which these fines relate to. The dates of the letters/offences go back 2 years yet only now do we get 8 letters for the clean air zone charges plus fees for the debt agency. Across these 2 years we paid each week and missed 8 occasions. This is not acceptable - What company or place would treat people like this!? I would like my money back please council - there is no justification for the action taken again me.

I regret Moving to Birmingham because of these people.

I have never lived anywhere else in the UK, but I wish I did not choose Birmingham. Not only are they heartless and ruthless. They are the most uncoordinated organisation I have had to deal with in Birmingham.

Council Tax Bill received Ref:- 5020491144 YSL for Flat 2, 12 Bierton Road, Yardley, Birmingham. B25 8PY at the end of March 2022 with Billing Date 02.03.2022 for 2022 to 2023 Council Tax of £904.12. First payment to be made 28.04.2022 of £94.12.

BCC notified of completion of sale on 30.03.2022 on 303-1113 and Council Tax Account Closed with BCC. Direct Debit cancelled with Halifax Bank also on 30.03.2022.

New Council Tax Bill received 22.03.2023 with Billing Date 06.03.2023 Ref:- 5020491144 YSL for Flat 2, 12 Bierton Road, Yardley, Birmingham. B25 8PY of £952.86 for 2023 to 2024.

I then checked my bank statements from 202 to 2023 and found that Birmingham City Council had reinstated direct debit for Flat 2, 12 Bierton Road, Yardley, Birmingham. B25 8PY and had taken payment totaling £904.12 from my account for Council Tax as of 28.04.2022 of £ 94.12 followed by 9 payment of £90.00 and final payment taken on 30/01/2023.

Called 303-1113 at 15.47 to discuss why I am receiving Council Tax Bill for a property I no longer own and why BCC has taken £904.12 of council tax for 2022 to 2023 for a property I no longer own. Call time 1hr 03min 15sec from home phone 0905 923549 at a cost of £15.36. This call was recorded by me. By the end of the call, it was agreed that £904.12 would be returned to my account not later than Friday 31.03.2023, that account was now closed and that a letter stating this outcome was being posted to me at The Toll House, 2 Hanbury Road, Droitwich, Worcester. WR9 8PW. (NO LETTER RECEIVED) THIS CALL WAS RECORDED BY ME.

Checked with my bank and NO FUNDS RECEIVED AS OF 05.04.2023.

Called 303-1113 again on 05.04.2023 at 09.39 from Mobile 07894 872519 call lasted 1hr 22min 22sec. I was informed by the agent that NOTHING was showing on account in regard to £904.12 council tax taken for 2022-2023 and only that account was closed 30.03.2022. The lady then put me on hold and then disconnected my call as she was upset. THIS CALL WAS RECORDED BY ME.

Complaints have been submitted via BCC WEB SITE on 20.03.2023 Ref:- 52427208. I have photos of all correspondence sent and received.

I am overcome by the ineptitude of Birmingham City Council regarding the settling of this matter. You have failed in Your Duty of Care to Me.

All I want is my £904.12 that Birmingham City Council has taken incorrectly from me for council tax I clearly did not owe.

You should also refund me the £6.00 for Land and Property information I paid for and £15.36 for the phone call to 303-1113 to try to resolve this matter.

The damage you have impacted on my health and mental welfare due to the stress this has caused is immense.

The reason I moved from Birmingham to Droitwich was down to an unprovoked violent attack made on me 03.01.2021. The impact of this attack has left me with a lifelong TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) This affects my front temporal lobe, and I will be on medication for the rest of my life. It has taken me years of recovery and is an ongoing process daily.

If this is not rectified within the next 10 working days and the money reimbursed and I am made whole, then I will be taking further action against Birmingham City Council and legal action will be taken. I really think that BCC should not only be made accountable for your mistakes but that you should be named and shamed for these. I will share on every platform available for this.

City ruled by thieves! like most of the negative comments I have the same bad experience when it comes to this city. I drove into the clear air zone unknowingly because Im from other city which resulted in a £60 fine. Of course, I wrote an appeal which they rejected and I already had £120 to pay because I had been waiting for a reply for almost 3 weeks. This is a comedy not a city!! City Hall is here to help citizens, not to rob them of money! Ordinary people who have a diesel car and they can't afford an electric car that costs £200,000, we have to pay some ridiculous Co2 charges and the city officials themselves probably use stinky cars or have free electric cars from the city from the taxpayers. Probably city delegations fly planes that pollute our environment 100 times more than a diesel car in a year!! BIRMINGHAM - Thief City!!

DISGRACEFUL AND PUT ME THROUGH HELL!!!!!!

I drove to Birmingham city centre to collect my parents from new street station and parked up outside and turned the car round BEFORE entering the bus lane. 2 days later a letter arrives with a bus lane fine with cctv evidence to show I DIDNT go down the bus lane but yet im still getting fined. Fight after fight after fight after fight after fight I had to provide more evidence and was eventually chucked out.
The evidence clearly showed I didnt go down the bus lane so why put someone through hell, disgraceful!!!!
