Prompt response from first flight following our forms being completed at Glasgow airport. Mike rang my husband to ask him to identify my case & belongings as name tag had disappeared. Very helpful & understanding & our luggage was delivered to us 2 days later. Thank you Mike!

Fantastic customer service from 1st flight. Helped me after my case was left in Alicante. Couldn’t fault the communication and assistance from Mikayla. Amazing how quick they got my case back from Spain, but DHL, who my case was forwarded on to, to be delivered to my home address is another story, shocking service from them. It was with them for 4 days and I ended up having to go and collect it.
Bordeaux messed up/ Gatwick fixed it
The airport in Bordeaux didn’t bother to board my luggage onto the plane. And obviously packed most of my things in my luggage to travel freely. So arrived very late at Gatwick with nothing and I was very upset, worried. I did the form online and luckily the luggage was shipped and delivered to me via DHL 48h later. Not ideal but Gatwick sorted it out. Thank you Gemma for the regular updates, it helps me a lot to feel at ease. All was well it was just a bit of worry for few days but very grateful to have received my luggage before Christmas.
Missing suitcase
My suitcase didn’t turn up at Gatwick late Friday so completed the online form. Overnight my bag was found which was reassuring as have never had this happen before. Spoke to Gemma at 1st Flight on Monday who notified me my bag was enroute home. Great service and great communications Thankyou.

Our luggage did not travel on our British Airways (BA) flight from Tenerife to LGW on 3rd November. We got very little help from BA and no update on when to expect our luggage to be delivered to us.
Eventually on 13th November we received a phone call from Mike at First Flight. We were overjoyed when he confirmed he had our two suitcases at their premises near LGW. He was very reassuring and helpful. He gave us options including waiting for BA to arrange the return of our luggage or paying for DHL to deliver them to us. He assured us we could reclaim the £65 cost from BA.
We were delighted the luggage arrived at 0935 the next morning.
We then sent a claim to BA for the £65. Our claim was initially ignored. Following our query on their poor response we got a more detailed reply which was a blank refusal to pay anything to us for the cost.
We have instructed our credit card company to refund us for a breach of contract by BA for their failure to return our luggage when we flew with them. We are still waiting. The latest update from Lloyds Bank (who issued the Mastercard) is that they are still waiting for responses from BA.
Please thank Mike for his encouragement and helpful reassurance on 13th November and for his phone call on 14th to check we had received our luggage. Mike was a star who was head and shoulders above the many others we are still interacting with while we wait to get refunded for the delivery of our luggage.
Sadly for us, the service from BA has been appalling.

Great service from First Flight after EasyJet omitted from tagging my cabin bag at check in. Less than a week after notifying the loss I was contacted by First Flight to say they had traced me & subsequently 2days later my bag was delivered via DHL saving me the inconvenience of lodging a claim, thanks Mike & team.
Vanessa is Highly Proficient
Vanessa was very patient and professional. I was getting frustrated and inpatient but she handled the situation calmly. I was shocked when she told me she had found my ipad because I had lost all hope. It was then posted next day and I received it within 3days. Thanks a million!

Outstanding service that goes above and beyond all expectations. Mike has become one of my favorite people in all of Europe after he alone was able to get my lost luggage back to me in the USA. My airline failed to put a tag on my bag when checking in and the luggage had no identification. Mike looked for some way of discovering the owner of the bag and found a prescription to my wife in my overnight kit, called her and started the long process of getting the airline to send my bag back to me. He advocated for us with the airline and got them to pay for shipping it to us. We just got it back, almost 2 months later. Can't say enough how thankful I am for First Flight Forwarders LTD AND THEIR EXCELLENT EMPLOYEE MIKE. When everyone else wanted to pass over their responsibilities, this company stepped in and made it all happen, THANK YOU!

I left my iPad on the plane and reported it. The response was amazingly quick and I had my iPad back in my possession within five days. The person who phoned me to say the item had been found couldn’t have been nicer. I had imagined I’d never see my iPad again. What terrific and efficient service!

Amazing experience from First Flight
We unfortunately not realised we had lost our 2 year olds bag. It was a personalised bag with his name on with lots of toys he’s fond of. By luck we had left & old bank card with my name on that First flight must of used to track us down! We got an email out the blue as we genuinely thought the bag was gone. Had to pay courier for bag return but that was a small price to pay. Thanks again!

Mobile phone
My mobile phone was confiscated by Spanish Supervisor handler at the gate before boarding flight to Gran Canara as I dropped my phone whilst checking my partner suitcase after declaring we had electrical toothbrushes and already checked in with my boarding pass from my phone and realising after I closed suitcase my phone was in suitcase. Easy jet contacted baggage handler to remove my suitcase and was told security needed to be present at gate before boarding on flight. I informed closing gate staff and a miserable spanish supervisor baggage handler rolled his eyes whilst I mentioned it was a innocent mistake. Was told by security they would escort me to the tarmac where suitcase was left and I could not take phone with me and had to stay behind which I agreed but my phone had my return booking ref for our return flight home which I managed to get my son to send me details as we bought his holiday and we logged onto Easy jet app with his email address. Security said I would need to go to Lost and found to retrieve my phone which I tried to submit whilst away but when I returned I sent email to Gatwick at Lost and Found to follow up to be told there was no records. I then sent emai to Easy Jet customer service and was told to try 1st Flight with no joy then 1st Flight advised me to go on airport lost and found and after giving details of my phone which was not lost they had a match and Vanessa who I used chat line was most helpful and downside was I had to pay £30.00 to deliver next day today 20th September, 2025 with DPD. I will put in a complaint concerning baggage handler as security guards would have handed my phone back but baggage handler said they couldn't due their policy even though I explained it was a innocent mistake.
